Indian, NC40-42, dark brown eyes and black hair for reference. On me, this is a creamy, easy to wear, light pink that covers my natural pigmentation and still reads as 'pink.' I tend to throw this color on when I'm doing bolder eyes. For example, yesterday I had a purple and taupe smokey eye with royal blue liner, and threw on Lovelorn. It was 'too much,' so on this went. It does not fit into the category of 'nude' lips for me, but is a little more pigmentation than a nude pink would be (i.e., Hug Me).

I think this is the prettiest, most GLOWY pink lipstick I have ever seen! Well, besides Chanel Frivole. But they are very similar in the sense that they are both light-to-medium "girly" pinks that are amazing about absorbing and reflecting light without being "frosty". The color of Venus is a nice neutral cool, but the golden iridescence makes it wearable for a range of skintones. I loved this lipstick so much I bout 4 BUs of it!
Looks amazing with neutral or smokey eyes.

Venus has quickly become one of my go-to lipsticks. It's incredibly comfortable and non-drying, wears long, and the shade is a mid-tone pink that's perfect for everyday. It's not a wow colour, but it is very pretty and not boring at all. It does have very slight frost, but I wouldn't call it a frosty lipstick - it's just not matte or flat. I think I need to get my paws on a back-up of this one.

nw 15 -nw 20 for reference. subtle pink, great for work or going out but pretty much dupe-able. sweetie by mac is a close dupe -though venus has a golden sheen. also as it was mentioned here, bombshell is pretty close too. so in case you own bombshell or sweetie, you dont need venus.
its L/E but even if it wasnt i wouldnt repurchase since i already have other similar lipsticks.

My review will be similar to ltnla's. I am similar in the sense that I am warmer toned and even though it suits me it doesn't bowl me over to be honest. It's pretty but nothing overly special on me. I usually like quite pink lipsticks and although this is pink it's quite subtle. It takes a few swipes to achieve colour but on me it's just a little bit too subtle. I have fairly yellow tones to my skin so it washes me out a bit but I can imagine it to look very nice on more suited skin tones. It was LE however I would not repurchase if it was part of the core line.
Edit: I've changed my mind about this lipstick after wearing it today. It looks very natural but is still quite pink and I love the gold undertones. I think the best way to apply this and any other lipstick for that matter is with a lip brush. I applied this and it's lasted for 4 hours with me only topping it up once and there's still a lot of wear left. I've added one more lipstick because I still think it can be duped very easily but I really do like it now.

I love MAC lipsticks, and this was the only one from Heavenly creatures that I would wear so I of course bought it. It looked very different in at my house than it did in the store and it reminded me of my other MAC lipstick in Bombshell. They're are almost the same lipstick the only difference is that one's a frost and one's a glaze. It's a good lipstick, like all MAC lipsticks are, but I wouldn't recommend this to someone who has Bombshell by MAC as well.

Have this for one day, but writing review in case it helps anyone. I'm NC25/NC30. Very pretty neutral to slight warm pink, with a slight sheen. Takes several swipes to get full color; after all, it's a lustre. Easy every day color that should work on just about anyone. Pretty but not all that special on my skin tone/coloring. I have yellow tone, and slight mauvy lips, which I think deepens color a bit. Though I think this looks good on warm skinned gals like me, I think it'll be way better on cooler toned women (could also be bc I'm much more partial to coral sthan pinks on me). I don't have many pink lipsticks to compare, but don't think it's all that unique -- though I think if you like or might like it, you should get it rather than spend time trying to find a cheaper version. I don't regret buying, but probably wouldn't have bought if it's not "limited edition"... so MAC's marketing does work after all !
Edit: agree w/reviewer below that it also reminds me of Bombshell ! (which I tried several times but never bought bc I didn't like enough). Maybe a tad warmer. Also frostier than other lustre lipsticks.
