This flat iron I believes works well. I don't think it's any better than a chi yet not as good as a ghd. I prefer the flat iron with the oscillations on because it glides through the hair. when it's off it can tug and pull the hair a bit if i press the iron too hard against the hair. i use this flat iron mostly to add volume and can make curls and waves very easily with the barrel. I think there are better irons out there but i will continue to use this and am pretty happy with having it.

Recently my Paul Brown hair straighter has "died", after using it steadily for a few years. I had hopes for something with a similar style/effect and up to the same temperature (450 degrees fahrenheit). I thought the vibration sounded gimmicky, but it was on sale and I decided to give it a chance.. Thank goodness this salon had a great return policy, because it is honestly one of the worst I have used! Considering it was closer to $200 then $100, I would expect better packaging at least. The product has a very cheap plastic feel, and becomes very hot (the plastic) unlike other irons I have used.
I've used many different irons: CHI, BaByliss, Paul Brown, NP group, Kenneth Bernard, and even cheaper ones like Revlon and Conair. This one has felt the cheapest unfortunately. It does straighten hair, don't get me wrong, but my hair didn't seem softer but rather more stiff and dry. The vibration as I predicted WAS very pointless, despite being advertised as a major feature on the iron. I found it annoying, though it's able to be turned off. Luckily I was able to return this and get a different one. I was very unimpressed and would NOT recommend or repurchase.
P.s I thought maybe I just had bad luck with it, so I asked the stylist/employee at a different branch of the salon where I got it and she actually told me it doesn't sell well, and none of the stylist recommend or like it. Also reviews from other sites I checked after, often stated it broke after a few uses.. Oh well, at least I got to try something new haha! :P
