This is my first MAC lipstick and the only reason I bought it is because I was looking for this pinky nude for a very long time. I didn't buy it for the brand as I'm not a huge MAC fan to begin with. When I tried it, my 2 year search was over. To me, the color is perfection. If you're not into light pinks, why buy it?
That being said, the longevity of this lipstick is minimal. I might get about 2 hours out of it if I don't eat or drink anything. For $17, I expected a bit more.
Yes, it can settle into your lines but it's more of a matte color. Most mattes accentuate the dryness of your lips. I personally don't have too much of a problem with it.
Overall, while I love the color, I won't be purchasing this again. It's pretty but I can't justify spending $17 on something that I have to constantly reapply. If it lasted longer, I would probably buy like 10 boxes of this stuff. So 10 stars for the color...3 stars for longevity.
EDIT: For comparison, this feels and goes on like L'Oreal Colorburst lipstick.

I find reviews like the one below really useless.
Were it not for the brand name, I would not have tried this. The color is chalky and very WAG-like. Definitely not for me.
MAC ought to bring out a range of 'try me mini' lipsticks. I have about 12 of their colors and at least 10 were awful.
They are expensive and highly over rated.
This one is really like pale pink milkshake...not a good look.

I find reviews like the one above REALLY useless. Yes it's pale, but on me it's pretty and I love pale, nude lips. I haven't experienced any drying from this formula and with two swipes I get full coverage. I acknowlege I bought it for the name, and because I love Beth Ditto but I think the color is lovely. It can be fine tuned with different liners beneath, if one finds it too pale. It's also very pretty paired with MAC Ruffian Gold over it. Good stuff. In a world filled with variety, I don't think it's necessary to vilify a *color* because it doesn't look good on you.

Love Love! This perfect pinky nude lippie is great! I am always searching for the perfect nude lipstick and was so happy I grabbed this! I've never tried Mac's Pro Longwear lipsticks but I really like them. I have pretty pigmented lips and this covers them up! I can see why some ppl say they are drying since they are thicker, but I always apply chapstick under lipstick anyways, so it works great. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a new nude :)
