I wanted to like this because I like mint but I really did not. It's almost oily, kind of sticky, and I had acne breakouts while I was using it. Definitely pass this one up unless you like oily, super minty face wash that doesn't really clean your face.

I was skeptical to buy this product, because I have combination skin and this is supposed to be ideal for oily skin.. But my organics wash has been out of stock forever and I had tried the other cleansers for combo skin and they just were not cutting it so I figured why not give it a shot. Wow! I have to say that I love it! It feels so minty and fresh, and gets off every bit of my makeup (even on my eyes) without any stinging. It rinses off easily and my skin feels so soft and clean.. I didn't buy the pump, I just pour out what I need on my fingertips. This is going to stay a staple in my skincare routine! I also use the Dr. Weil Face cream and serum (when I can afford it!)

I love this product!!! I had used Origins in the past, and then moved on because at the time they were using parabens in their products. Now that they are paraben free I'm back, and realized I had been using all the wrong products for my skin type the first time around. I have combination skin and had been using Checks and Balances, but it was too drying. The girl in the store recommended Mint Wash and said it would be more mild. She was right! It does not over dry my skin at all, yet it gets ALL my makeup off. I have no tolerance for cleansers that leave behind makeup and make my toner work double time. The pump you have to get with it is definitely worth it (though, I do also think it should be included. Although having the lid as an option is better for traveling with). The pump gives you just the amount you need and the product lasts a long time.
I also use Purifying Tonic, A Perfect World serum, High Potency Night-A-Mins Lotion, and Have a Nice Day Lotion and am very happy with them all.

I loved this cleanser before my derm put me on retin-a micro. I love the minty feeling without the dryness and tightness. When I started on retin-a micro, this cleanser wasn't gentle enough and dried my face out. I also used the united state toner and it burned my face. I later found out that it contained alcohol which caused the burn. The packaging is bad because you have to purchase a pump separately. It should come with one considering that it cost $18.50 for 5oz. I will consider buying this again when my face adjusts to retin-a micro.

I'm surprised the rate of buying again is so low! I think it's a very good facewash for oily skin. My skin is really clean after wash and it lasts quite a long time. I don't have any irritation for my skin either. I use oil free moisturiser after wash so that the skin would not be dry. My breakouts has been improved a bit

I thought I liked this product but as the months went on I did not feel that it was really doing anything for my oily skin. The first two weeks I was like wow this is good stuff but my face does not really feel clean after I use it. If you are going to try it make sure you buy the pump because this stuff even if you wash your face a lot actually lasts a really long time!

I was in a mall and got a facial with the entire oily skin line, and wow I love it. My skin not only feels clean, but not so dried out, the scent is amazing and I have very oily skin, although I'm 43, I still have really oily skin and am constantly looking for something that works. I love it, and will buy again!!

Yuck. Made my skin feel icky from the second I put it on. Words fail me to describe how uncomfortable my skin felt while using this. Same deal when I tried it again a few months later.

well, this is probs great for oily skin. for my sensitive/dry skin, it is a bit too harsh, but I can use it every week or so with no issues. smells VERY minty. feels clean after. just too strong for my skin.

What a disaster this thing is! I seem never be able to wash it off once I rub it on my face! it feels soapy. And it doesn't help with my acne-prone skin type at all!

This product is okay functionally... it cleans my slightly-oily skin well without drying at all... but it smells like new car! I don't think I'd purchase again, because the smell is just too overwhelming.

What the hell is this! It's green and gloppy! It looks and feels like a science experimint gone wrong! It burned my skin like crazy! Everytime I used it. It left my face dry and flakey, and it definatly made my pores worse. If I want the peppermint smell, I'll just rub a mint under my nose!

This stuff is waaaaaaay too harsh on my sensitive skin. It caused me redness and dry spots. That said, my boyfriend, who has the greasiest skin EVER, has had wonderful results with it. So this is a very positive review.
I'm going to share a truly disgusting anecdote, but perhaps it will encourage some of you oily-skinned readers. My bf's skin gets so oily that when I used to kiss him on the cheeks, my lips would feel like I'd just been eating fried chicken and hadn't wiped my mouth. If I rubbed my lips together, they would slide as if freshly moisturized...with cooking oil. Gross, I know. I KNOW.
Even washing his face 4+ times a day, no other product helped. Until last Christmas, when I bought him this face wash. Remembering how harsh it had been on my own skin years ago, I figured it was just what he needed. I was right. He washes 2 times a day, and it controls the oil all day long. His skin looks fresher and cleaner, with fewer breakouts, and there's no irritation or dry patches (believe me, he would whine just like a man if this product irritated him in any way). Just nice, clear skin. No oily lips for me, and no greasy skin for him!

This cleanser is a must have for those with truly oily skin. I found the scent to be pleasant. Just a couple of pumps of this cleanser produces a rich lather. It really cleanses the face without drying it out. I live in the humid South and this cleanser is one of the few I've had that truly gets all the grime and sweat off my face at the end of the day. Since I've been using this mint cleaser, I had people compliment my complexion. I don't even use makeup remover or toner, and my skin still feels thoroughly cleansed. I will complain about the packaging. For this price, the bottle should come with a pump. However, just schmooze the sales associate, and you might get one thrown in for free! I will definitely repurchase this cleanser.

I got the whole oily skin line from Origins in hope to clear my bad breakout last summer. The mint wash is very drying. The first time I started it with the Oil Refiner, it seemed to help to clear my skin pretty well and also made it pretty dry and tight. Soon though I started breaking out again. So I stopped it. Later on, I tried getting back on it to stop my breakouts, it didn't help at all. The packaging is bad, because you have to pour it, so I bought a pump for it too, which was not worth it because I won't use that cleanser again. The only thing I liked about it was its smell, but I can care less about that.

i really really wanted to like this, because when i see "cooling" or "soothing" in a product, im all over it. but this gave me an itchy, bumpy, acne-like rash! =( so disappointed.

This is my hg! I have really oily, breakout-prone skin and Mint Wash helps to keep the oilies away all day. Plus it cleanses very well (I can tell cause there's nothing on my cotton pads when I tone afterwards) but isn't overdrying to me at all. So, okay, it's not cheap, but you know what? Your skin is worth it! Plus if you use the pump it's goes by slowly. I've used this day and night for over two months and it looks like I'm not even 1/8th of the way through. I bet it's a better cost per day then cheap crappy cleansers.

I bought a bottle of this more than 3 years ago. I have used it twice a day off and on (mostly on), and it's even been a stand in for body wash on a few occasions when I've forgotton mine while traveling and... I STILL have about 1/2 of product left. A very teeny amount goes a very long way to leaving my skin extremely, squeaky, fantastically clean. In the evenings I mix 1/2 dollup of this with 1/2 dollup of Swept Clean and it's lovely -- the Mint Wash makes the scrub foamy, it cleans in addition to scrubbing, and it allows the scrub to be rinsed away cleanly. A great product that's a super value.

A lovely, fresh, minty facial wash but it broke me out. Maybe one to avoid for sensitive skin but I'm having fantastic results with Origins Checks and Balances Cleanser. Maybe the mint is stronger in the Mint Wash...

I used this for years until my cheeks started to dry out. I loved it. It's the only face wash I've used that truly took off eye makeup, and I loved the squeaky-clean feeling my face had after I used it. Plus, one bottle lasted me almost a year.
