been using kiehls facial cleanser for years, just needed more and didnt feel like going all to the mall so I picked this up figuring i would be putting it in my kids bathroom once I got the stuff I usually get, This is my new favorite, non drying but your face is clean, fresh clean light scent works well with clarisonic too. Glad I didnt feel like going to the mall that day

I got this as a sample in my Target Beauty Bag, for the longest time I didn't use it and when I got my Clarisonic Mia I used it and I loved it and finally I ordered some and it made my face feeling amazingly soft since I have combination skin. The smell is amazing, I happen to like the smell of citrus especially for my skin because it wakes me up in the morning, and it has made my skin feel more brighter, I love this product and I will definitely buy this again.

I'm surprised by the bad reviews. I have the Visibly Bright Daily Facial Cleanser. I think the smell is great. Very refreshing and citrusy but not like a bad fake smell. It's a very cushiony lather that feels like its really cleaning but not drying out your skin. It says not to get it near your eyes but I am lazy and always use my cleansers to remove my eye make up. This worked really well, even got of my stubborn powder liner. I don't think it would feel nice to get this in your eye but if you do a good job of keeping your eyes closed it doesn't burn or sting at all. I generally make sure I do this with most cleansers. And I prefer using a cleanser to a solution. They seem to migrate into my eyes worse that cleanser and leave an irritating residue. My skin is somewhat sensitive and I am a big fan of this one. Give it a try!

Ugh, the heavy floral smell in this face wash made it hard to even use it. Smells like something you would use to clean a toilet. And you can't let any get near your eyes or it will burn, burn, burn. It dried out my skin and wasn't worth keeping around because of the smell/pain. I threw it out after using a few times.

I've been using this for about a week now and so far so good. Most cleaners usually dry out my face and leave my skin feeling tight and dry, but this one just left my skin feeling clean minus the dryness. The scent reminds me of grapefruit which I know many people don't care for. And in reply to another reviewer (at the risk of being a little snarky), it does not leave shimmers on the face. It only looks "shimmery" squeezing out the bottle, but if you actually use it and wash your face, no residue is left over. Maybe they just looked a it and made an assumption.

It sure brightened my face- beet red, dried out and looks like sh*t. This might work it your face is extremely oily, but if you have normal / dry skin avoid this like the plague. I use BHAs and various other exfolients and this garbage is harsh.

Creamy non-lathering cleanser that removes most makeup, but is perfumey and leaves mica sparkles on your face. Oh, you look bright all right. But it is from the glitter! I know the difference between sparkles on the face as opposed to in the product. And so did people who looked at me. This product sucks.

I intensely dislike this cleanser. I know, a bit harsh to hate a cleanser. But, OMG, it stinks like chemical citrus used in laundry detergent. This golden colored cleanser with shimmer in it, does nothing for my skin. It feels like it leaves a residue on my skin. Absolutely no brightening effect at all. Threw it out.

I got this in a Target beauty bag. I liked the smell and the fact that the cleanser was shimmery (it didn't leave any shimmer on my face, but it just made me happy to look at).

I used it with my clarisonic mia. This was unbelievably drying. I had to use at least twice as much moisturizer as normal because my face was so tight I didn't think I could move it. I have yet to find a neutrogena cleanser that isn't very drying. I won't use this again and hope I don't experience any of the breakouts the other reviewers described from trying it once.

If you have dry skin, don't go near this.

Wow, I love this cleanser! It is oil-free, which I need/want bc I'm in my late 30s; I rarely experience breakouts now, compared to my 20s; while I don't want benzoyl peroxide or salicyclic acid in a cleanser, I prefer oil-free + antioxidant or vitamins in it. In 2 washes, I noticed a dramatic positive difference in my complexion; the tone's more even, clearer, and "visibly bright" -- I can do without the fragrance, it's a little strong but wears off quickly. This cleanser is non-drying but doesn't leave a greasy feeling (residue). I hope Neutrogena keeps this product!

I received a sample of this cleanser in my Target Beauty Bag. I liked it right away. It really seems to brighten and smooth out my face. It hasn't dried it out at all, nor has it caused any breakouts. I use it once a day, in the morning. I don't need much, probably not even a full pump.
I've already purchased the regular size bottle. One thing I don't like about the packaging is you're suppose to shake before use, yet it's in a pump bottle. I'm not crazy about the scent, but it doesn't linger.

I received this product in a target beauty bag, and overall, I'm not impressed with it. It didn't make my face feel clean and it didn't do very well at removing the rest of my makeup. I also don't like the fact that it doesn't lather (it doesn't claim to be foaming though). The smell is kind of fruity/fresh, so that was nice. I didn't notice any difference in my skin brightness after using this product.

I have never been one to receive compliments on my skin, however, after using this product for a week my best friend whom I hadn't seen all summer commented on how radiant my skin looked. My sister asked me a week later if I was pregnant because I looked like I was "glowing." While the pregnant comment made me rush to the gym a.s.a.p. I knew that it was because of this face wash. I am also guilty of wearing heavy eye makeup and I don't even need a makeup remover prior to washing my face with this. This is a must have product for me!

I'll buy it again. I have used Clinique's Clinical Spot Corrector serum for a couple of years with moderate success-nothing to rave about. My spots are nearly gone, but it took two years at 50 bucks an ounce. That adds up! This stuff is at most 7 bucks a bottle (and a bottle that never leaks on me), and two days after I started using it my boyfriend (who notices nothing, like most guys) told me my face was bright and glowy. If that's not proof idk what is. I took one lippy off bc of the smell. It's grown on me, but I'll admit that the first time I used it I thought the perfume amount was ridiculous, and I appreciate a good smelling product, I really do. I also took the lippy off bc it did dry my skin a bit at first and I had a small dry patch for a day. tak into consideration though that my skin is oil-less. Oily skinned folks should have no issue with that. Overall, this is better than the Estee Lauder cleanser I had in my bag. No longer- it's in the trash. This is a 50 dollar cleanser in my opinion, and I'll gladly buy it again! I think this is a score for Neutrogena.

Age: 30-35   Skin: Acne-prone, Fair   Hair: Brown   Eyes: Brown

I have very acne prone skin and this doesn't cause problems for me at all. The product I was using was Topic Resurfix Ultra Gentle Cleanser. I stopped using that and started using the Neutrogena cleanser and noticed my skin improved - more glow, smoother, softer. I believe the occurrence of breakouts is lessened with the Neutrogena also. I use a baby washcloth to rub the cleanser in and exfoliate. In the morning I follow it up with just a LRP SPF15 moisturizer and at night I use Avene Triacneal (glycolic/retinol). The Avene is powerful so it's really all I need for a treatment item and the rest of what I use is very mild.

Perhaps the people experiencing breakouts are experiencing purging? I find this to be an awesome cleanser and the price is right too... I'd pay more for a decent cleanser but I don't have to this time!

I bought this, thinking it would give me a glowy complexion, but instead… It made me break out. And I never break out! It did work but I don't recommend you use it everyday. I used it twice a week. Until I realized how badly I was breaking out. Then I just stopped using it

I got a free sample of this from a Target beauty bag. I've tried it for awhile and have to say I don't care for it. It smells good, but it made me break out. I normally don't break out (maybe a few times a year at best) and within a week I had 5 or 6 pimples and some redness. It made my face tingle, too. Which is usually a good thing, but it kind of burned. Made my face feel smooth though.

This review is for Neutrogena Visibly Bright Daily Facial Cleaner, which I believe is my new HG cleanser. A large sample was given to me by a fellow MUA'er and I've been using it each night for about a week now. The tube states that it is made to "transform dull, tired skin to visibly bright and refreshed".

From the website under: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Visibly Bright™ Daily Facial Cleanser transforms dull, tired skin to visibly bright & refreshed skin in just 4 uses.

The unique formula, infused with Soy and Vitamin C, dissolves skin-dulling impurities and surface skin cells, while a citrus anti-oxidant complex helps to refresh skin. Skin looks brighter and less tired.

Won't overdry skin. Gentle enough for daily use.
Oil-free
Non-comedogenic
Hypoallergenic

I agree with these claims. I felt the difference right away. By the 4th day my skin felt extra fresh and clean. It has a strong citrus scent like very sweet pink grapefruit. The formulation has sparkles in it which I don't get, but don't mind because of how my skin feels. It retails for about $7.00 US for 6.7 ounces. I'm not going to claim the benefits of the Vitamin C because I'm not sure of the stability or percentage, however I do follow-up with a Vitamin C Serum and then my moisturizer. This is a very good product for the price and I'm extremely satisfied.
