Age: 36-43 Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium, Warm Hair: Black, Straight, Medium Eyes: Brown
LE, Breast Cancer Awareness 2011, Ulta exclusive
eyeshadow: Believe - matte greyed lilac
eyeshadow: Strength - matte lavender
eyeshadow: Support - matte dusky purple
eyeshadow: Courage - shimmery blue-violet
cheek color: Pink - matte dusty medium pink
highlighter/bronzer: Ribbon - warm pink with shimmer
Product - Nice everyday, work-friendly palette. Neutral-toned overall. A dark liner or heavier application of Courage can convert the color scheme to more of an evening look. All the colors are moderately pigmented and have a soft silky texture. The blush should flatter most gals. The "bronzer" is really more of a shimmery blush on me (AAB/NC25).
Comparisons - The blush in Pink is similar to BB Pink and BB Clay; BB Pink is a brighter, cleaner pink and BB Clay is a dirtier pink. Ribbon is similar to NARS Orgasm but Ribbon leans more pink and less peachy, and it's strikingly close to the Pink blush in the palette, but with golden shimmer added. Compared to Stila's Empowered in Pink 2010 BCA edition (which had a Convertible Color instead of powder blush and "bronzer"), this 2011 release has softer, less dramatic eye colors.
Packaging - Glossy cardboard packaging held closed by hidden magnets, with black interior. Half size mirror under the lid with inspirational quote above and application suggestion below. Four small pans of e/s (23mm) and two rectangular pans of cheek/face color (54mm by 21mm). Front cover has an illustration of Stila girl in short pink cocktail dress with a pink background. Overall dimensions: 3" by 5".
Overall - A good value at $14, especially for palette junkies like me. Not particularly unique, unless you have an affinity for this color grouping.
