I got a vial of this fragrance in the mail, i tried it on. It smelled like old lady at first my husband also agreed. He didn't like the smell. But the drydown is so different like musky flowery. I walked into walgreens wearing this and i swear the smell followed me everywhere. The next day i was still able to smell it. It's a nice smell kind of reminds me of Quelques fleurs, the lasting power is strong. Too bad it had to be this perfume that had the lasting power and not quelques fleurs. It's like the perfumes i wish last long don't and the ones i don't do. I don't know if i would ever purchase this with this pricetag. But i wouldn't mind having samples to try on every now and then. I feel like a million dollars when i wear this. Like i have alot of money.. which i don't but it makes feel feel like i do.

I work in event marketing, and I was doing a promotion for this perfume. I don't think I would have ever heard of it otherwise. I'm not a huge perfume person..but I usually like fruity or foody/sweet scents (think Rockin' Rio or Pink Sugar). I'm not one for florals, ever. They usually give me a headache. To me, this smells a little floral-y although it's not overpowering. It's a very strong scent, but the notes are nice. This scent lasts FAR longer than any perfume I own. It easily lasts all day. While doing the promotion, I had spilled a vial on my gloves. I can still smell it strongly on the gloves over a month later (not that I would recommend purposely spilling a vial of this anywhere..just giving an example). I get lots of compliments on this from both sexes and the general consensus from people when sampling this product was overwhelmingly positive. I am 22 and I think I can wear this scent without a problem. I think it's versatile for all ages even though I usually associate florals with an older crowd. (Please note that I said I was doing a promotion for this company but I work as an independent contractor and am associated with the company in no way).

I have been wanting to try this for ages, and finally I was lucky enough to get it in a swap. Alas. this is positively generic, flat and boring on me. There is a hint of roses in the opening, after which it dries to a really dull floral with no good base notes and decent lasting quality. On me it smells incredibly old fashioned and very cheap. What a disappointment. I tried it every day for a week, but it never grew on me.

I "think" i love it. It is a floral fresh scent that lasts a long time on your skin.

I'm not sure if I'm in love with this fragrance, but I do know that it's what DK Cashmere Mist wants to be when it grows up. It has that same light, floral, soft muskiness to it, but it's softer, more floral, and more refined. It's a touch less powdery than CM, and unlike CM, the woody notes in the base are actually detectable. Subtle, but detectable. And along with a soft, generic woodiness is a slight coolness, like the barest hint of cardamom or saffron.
I don't find Jivago loud or intense the way some here do, but I do find it smells wealthy - but not like a wealthy person's perfume. No, this is the smell of a filthy rich person's toilet. Lotion, hair rinse, thousand dollar face cream, all the creme de la creme cosmetic products before the final spritz of perfume goes on. It's simply a refined, soft, high quality cosmetic floral musk.
I'm not sure that I have much use for it, but if ever I were looking to buy a soft, refined comfort scent that doesn't make any particular statement, this might be the one. I do find the bottle a little tacky and the price is somewhat high for what it is, but I suppose you can't have it all.

I ordered this online after smelling it on someone else and becoming obsessed with smelling her. What is it about this fragrance that does it? It's this natural, carnal scent that isn't funky....like....the smell of a clean (not funky) armpit, perhaps, or like a woman's clean but natural breath. I know that sounds weird, but seriously!! Or like the back of someone's neck. It smells like human skin somehow, but concentrated... I wore it tonight and my husband grabbed my wrist and said, "that smells familiar...I know what it is....it's what strippers wear!" And he's right; it does have that ineffable smell of sex, powder, and--oddly--innocence, that strippers seem to have. In a word, hot. He hates most fragrances I buy (except Bois des Iles and Dolce & Gabbana woman), but he said I can add this one to the rotation. Score! For when I'm feeling "stripperish".... (4 lippies for now. I'll up it to 5 if my obsession continues!) UPDATE: I am just not loving this so much. There is something sour / salty about the smell that sometimes reaches my nose, and I find it more than a little bit nauseating / unsettling. I don't know why this is!! Today I dabbed on some of my Chanel Bois Des Iles Parfum to try to mellow it out a little bit. I don't know. It just hasn't turned out to be the showstopper I hoped it would be for me! (Nothing beats Chanel No. 5 EDP, Dolce & Gabbana Woman, or Bois des Iles on my skin. I've already found my HG's; I just need to accept it and stop looking for something even better!) BTW, I just smelled Ed Hardy's new fragrance for women yesterday (and I had just been to the Penthouse Executive's club the night before), so I can tell you unequivocally that the Ed Hardy smells like strippers for sure!! If that's your thing...

Beautiful feminine fragrance, this review is for the EDP. Jivago 24 opens with a heady burst of rich roses then dries down into a delicious floral amber with a hint of musk. Sillage is also excellent as is the staying power, this lasts several hours which is important as I prefer to not have to keep reapplying perfumes. The packaging is also unusual with the stand and the gold flakes within the juice.
Glamorous, elegant, charming, sexy....this stuff does it all.

I know I've said this before in other reviews, but I think I FINALLY found my HG fragrance! Jivago 24K is such a complex fragrance to have so few ingredients. The top note of Bulgarian Rose is very fleeting. The middle notes of Asian Jasmin and Tuberose Absolute are more prominent and longer lasting (at least on my skin). The Orris and Amber are not very noticeable but help round out the deliciousness of the fragrance!
Jivago 24K is sophisticated, classy, and elegance all rolled into one. But I think it could be worn with a T-shirt and jeans just as easily as it could an evening gown. I plan to wear it to work, shopping, and anywhere else I might find myself going!
The Jivago 24K bottle is also a work of art, very ritzy. And the gold flakes just add to it even more!
I wore this for the first time yesterday after receiving it in a swap and all I can say after one day of wearing it is WOW! Now I know why this fragrance has so many glowing reviews! I just keep pulling my shirt out of the hamper to sniff again and again, the juice is that intoxicating!
I've already order the lotion, shower gel, and powder from the Jivago website and they can't arrive soon enough for me!
I can't wait to wear this fragrance again to see if it garners me some of the compliments everybody else keeps talking about! However, if I never receive that first one I won't be disappointed because this fragrance is perfect to the one person that matters most....ME!!!

showstopper perfume! this brings in so many compliments. nothing else smells quite like this luxurious perfume. it is like a high-end fragrance a celebrity would wear. I only wear it on special occasions because it is quite pricey ($117-$145 depending on the size). It has real gold flecks floating around and comes in this gorgeous bottle that sits in a frosted cystal holder. Looks glam on your vanity too.
Website says:
Bulgarian Rose (top note) induces thoughts of loving affection and peaceful harmonious vibration. Asian Jasmine (middle note) is worn for blessings, protection, and good luck.
Tuberose Absolute (middle note), is used to ward off evil and negativity. It also calms the nerves and is used as a psychic stimulator.

Smells so wonderful! I get compliments from both men and women every time I wear it. And, this is going to sound odd, but the compliments always seem to come from classy, well-dressed, attractive people. I swear!

I first tested this fragrance at Nordstrom. I fell in love, love, love but it was WAY too expensive. I was heartbroken. Every time I went to the mall I showered myself in the stuff. Then, one lucky day, I was in a perfume depot and saw the box way up on the top shelf. Well, the dang thing was 1/2 the price than that of Nordstrom so I bought it. I cannot get enough of this stuff. I like unique fragrances, hate powdery, old lady perfume and avoid wearing fragrances I smell on everyone that walks by. This stuff does it ALL! I can't explain what it smells like because I have never smelled anything like it. What i can say is that it is a beautiful and sexy fragrance with staying power that rivals Angel. I am so afraid now that it will be discontinued. I don't think I could ever find anything so beautiful to replace it!!!!

I bought this scent years ago in a little hole in the wall store in Dallas Texas. The reason that I bought it was that I'd smelled it on my niece and had to have it before I returned home!! This is a stunning grown-up, sexy, beautiful scent.
Here are the notes:
Top Notes: Bulgarian rose
Heart Notes: Asian jasmine, tuberose, orris
Base Notes: Amber, woods
I am NOT a floral girl.At all. Thank goodness I can't pick any individual notes out(particularily the rose). What I do get is this glorious fragrance that's a tad sweet, clean, sexy and woodsy at at once.
This fragrance, to me, has the same feeling as Bill Blass Nude and Dolce&Gabana woman(the one with the red top)and definitely has the oomph that get's compliments from men and women alike!!
The bottle and stand are bothersome and the price is high, but the results are worth it!!

Jivago 24K is an attention-getting floral with musk and woods. My impression of the
flowers includes tuberose and orange blossom, which will get attention
in a way similar to how La Chasse and Fracas get attention, but the musk and woods in J24K come up more strongly in the drydown. Could be
stunning on the right person, lightly applied.

Big mistake. I should have tested before I purchased. Gorgeous bottle, gold flecks. But my goodness, Jivago 24K smells dry, cold, and chemical. It lacks depth and warmth. I'm not crazy for sweet perfumes but I'm not for pungent ones either. I could not detect any florals. I got nauseous after sniffing it in my quest to find a little tenderness. Must be my chemistry then, given the overwhelming positive reviews here. :-(

I love this perfume. It is very strong (which means it last a long time!) Very floral, I've never smell any musk in this just flowers. It is pricey but you only need a little- so the bottle last for a long time. As always- try before you buy!

if i had a dollar for evey compliment i get on this scent - damn. i love this scent. it is very strong so i am very conservative when spraying, but after it dries, it's luxurious. defintely a signature scent, although i am not bold enough to wear it on a daily basis. i feel so rich when wearing this and the name and presentation alone provide validation when my friends oogle the bottle. i will buy this again, although i feel as though the bottle i have will last quite a while

VERY strong. And I'm not oversensitive to perfumes. There is something about it that reminds me of Quelques Fleurs, but also Dior Poison. I realize those scents really aren't similar, but there you go. Anyway, I like the scent, it smells good to me, but gave me a massive headache. Again, not a usual reaction for me. So, I swapped it away.

Ok, this is going to sound a little funny...the only time I've ever smelled this is on my OB. Finally, after smelling it a few times on her, I was brave enough to ask her what it was I was smelling (wasn't sure if it was some special doctor soap or perfume or what). I was surprised when she mentioned the name and I'd not heard it before (I have a bit of a perfume problem). Anyway, I went and tried a sample to see how it would do on me. It's very surprising at first (not in a really good way). It goes on VERY strong and if you put your nose right on the point of application, it's not very nice. From a distance, though, and in small amounts, it's just divine. I find it very sexy and animalistic, but in a different way than musky scents. The only thing that comes close to this scent in my experience is the discontinued Babe. Spicy and deep, while also clean...those are the only words I can think of to describe it. Very unique, for sure. The key is a very light hand with this one. I'll probably "touch it up" with something a little on the sweet side, like blackberry musk or Pink Sugar...I'll have to see what works. My Orbit Bubble Mint gum smells GREAT with it...maybe I'll have to get some bubble gum oil to go with it. Sounds odd but really works!!
