one word.. AWESOME!
Age: 36-43 Skin: Very Oily, Medium Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I've just found my new favorite eye shadow! This is my first time using Revlon eye shadow, with my former favorite being Cover Girl. I found this on clearance at Target a few weeks ago for $2.74 ( plus, I had a $1 off coupon). The colors are really rich, shimmery, and smooth. I applied them over Mary Kay eye shadow primer this morning, and they're still going strong at 5:45 pm. There are 5 colors, and I used 3 of them. I also like the sponge-tipped applicator that came with it. It has a standard tip, and a liner tip. I often use shadow instead of liner, and this did a great job. I don't usually buy Revlon, due to the higher prices, but I've found that you're paying for quality. I'm glad that more coupons are coming out for cosmetics these days. We can all use some help financially!

I bought this palette on sale at CVS during the beauty clearance and it was only 2 bucks. The colors really aren't that appealing to me, but I bought it anyways because I wanted to try Revlon eyeshadows. I tried t, and it didn't even show up on my eyes. I even tried using it wet, it still didn't give me color. DO NOT waste your money on this!

I have really liked the Revlon eye shadows I have purchased in the past, but I did not like this palette. On display, the shadows look beautiful...a silver, an emerald green, a gold, a copper/bronze and a dark gray/muted black, all with a pretty pattern in the pan and a sleek looking case. Sadly, they are not so lovely to work with. I tried to apply the shadows according to the chart on the back of the package to start with. I lined my eyes with the soft black and immediately had a dusting of fallout to deal with. After that mess I tried the emerald on the outer corner, which did have a nice finish, but the pigmentation and coverage were underwhelming on my skintone. I expected a much richer look than I got. As for the gold and copper, and especially the silver, the texture made a decent look impossible. All three shadows are extremely chalky. I felt like they were clumping up and compacting just when putting a sponge into them, and the effect on my eyes was even worse. All had terrible fallout and were impossible to apply and blend with any refinement or smoothness because of the chalky texture. Also, the shadows seemed very fragile in the palette, like they would separate or break at any time. And in fact, this did happen when I dropped the palette (from a maybe 1 metre high dressing table, onto a carpeted floor! Certainly not even a bathroom tile or such!) Just all around poor quality IME and definitely not what I'd expect for the price and the brand. I noticed these palettes are made in China, where previous Revlon shadows have been made in US. So maybe that is an indicator of possible quality, I'm not sure. All I know is that this palette's shadows were chalky, ashy and easily breakable!
