I don't usually buy pot glosses, but this thing was too darn cute to resist. The packaging is a little round pot with an iridescent plum-colored dome lid - it's ultra-mod-looking and yes, adorable all at once. More importantly, the product inside is really good. Though it's called a gloss, it feels more like a balm; however, like a properly functioning gloss, it gives just the right amount of shine (no glitter or shimmer, just gloss) without looking greasy. Though the orangey-peach tint doesn't show up on my dark pink lips, it would translate into a soft coral on someone with light pink lips, or juicy peach on someone with light nude/flesh-toned lips. The consistency is perfect - not so stiff that you need a brush to dig it out, but not so pliant that it melts off your brush/finger/cotton swab and onto your shirt. As I mentioned, it's more like a balm than a gloss in in feel; it absorbs a little immediately, and leaves a nice moist, silky-smooth sensation on the lips. It smells subtly of yummy fake chocolate and has a slight sweet taste...which means that it's perfect for kissing. ;) At 1.5 oz, the pot is too big to shove in the average jeans pocket or evening clutch, but it's well worth carrying around in your regular purse. I'd recommend this for anyone who likes cute pot balms/glosses, futuristic-looking packaging, and/or chocolate. It also comes in bright red, shiny red, pink, white, and orange, as well as a set of 2 (shiny red and peach pink); they would make excellent party favors or stocking stuffers.
