My mother and grandmother look 20 years younger than they do and whenever I ask them what their secret is, they always tell me that they don't do anything to their face. In other words, they do Nothing. I find that a lot of people (not celebrities, but people I've met in real life) I've met along the way who have great skin or look younger always tell me they do Nothing special to their face. I decided to try this and do Nothing to my face at night. No night cream, no eye cream or anything special at all. The result is glowing, beautiful skin in the morning. In fact, I came across the Dr. Hauschka website and it recommended this: "While you sleep your skin is actually hard at work regenerating itself, balancing oil production and expelling impurities. Regular application of night creams interferes with these essential tasks, and over time skin becomes less able to care for itself. Use of nighttime moisturizers signals the sebaceous glands to cut down on moisture production, resulting in even drier skin. Over time, skin becomes dependent on moisturizing products just to appear "normal." I was intrigued by this and decided to stop using night creams and eye creams. At first, my skin felt tight and dry and I was extremely tempted to apply some sort of moisture cream, but resisted. I'm glad I did, because now my skin looks a lot better than it did before. I feel like I actually look younger and my fine lines have been minimized greatly. Weird, right? On nights where my skin is flaking, I'll apply just a tiny bit of moisturizer or cream to the area where it is flaking, but that's it. I do Nothing to the rest of my face at night. In the morning I apply my regular moisturizer as normal and my face has been so much better. So, has anyone else tried Nothing on their face and gotten fantastic results?
