Yes to Carrots Shampoo keeps your scalp from being too dry. Works well for slightly flaky scalps.

This is a basic shampoo that is cruelty and sulfate free...these are the selling points to me...otherwise there's nothing special about it. $10 from Walgreens for 16.9 fl oz. I experimented with it for only a week (three washes).
Not bad but it's too drying for my hair and scalp. If it wasn't advertised as a sulfate free shampoo, I would have thought it was a super cheap, regular (read: sulfate) shampoo...that's how it strikes me: it lathers very well and cuts through oil and hair products as well as any sulfate shampoo. I can't stand the scent on my dried hair and this will prevent repurchase.

Oh my gosh. I can't understand why this has such a bad ratting! I love this stuff! I'm going cruelty free and this stuff is amazing! It's a bit of a splurge for a cheapsake like myself, but It isn't too bad. I pay about 8 or 9 dollars for a bottle. It last a while too, so I don't feel too bad for spending the money.
That being said, this stuff leaves my hair so soft and smooth. I also really like the sent of it. For a natural product it suds up well too. I've tried a few cruelty free hair products and they just dried out my hair. I have oily-ish hair and wash daily and this doesn't overly dry or cause it to be more oily.
I'd recommend, but I'd say would you should use the matching conditioner (as with most sets) for best results.
I just bought my second bottle today!

This is my HG shampoo, to be honest. It works so well for me. I have very oily hair, and it gets rid of all that. But, at the same time, my hair is REALLY dry. This doesn't dry my hair out like most shampoos do. It doesn't weigh my hair down.
I just finished my first bottle along with the conditioner, and I will repurchase. The only two products that really keep my hair healthy!

This shampoo is very basic. That being said, it cleaned my scalp without overly drying out my hair, and that's all I can ask for as far as a shampoo goes. And with THAT being said, I can get a shampoo that does that for much cheaper, so I probably won't rebuy this after I finish the bottle off.
The conditioner's bomb.com, tho...

I really wanted to like this shampoo - I loved how it smelled, and how it left my hair. But I had an allergic reaction - small red patches all along my hairline. Like I said, I really wanted to like this shampoo, but it was just too harsh for me - ironic, since my primary motivation for trying it was that I'm trying to switch to sulfate-free shampoos and use gentler products on my hair.

I am generally happy with how this cleans my hair; it gets it very clean, doesn't over-dry, and doesn't weigh it down. However, I have never had a shampoo burn my eyes the way this one does. If the tiniest bit of extremely diluted shampoo happens to get in my eyes they burn and turn bright red. I am also not fond of the scent--it smells very perfumey, like a sickly-sweet baby powder. And finally, the bottle design is...odd. I will use up what I've got, but I don't think I'll buy it again.

I liked this shampoo. I'm about half through a bottle, and while it's not a miracle, I don't have picky hair either. I have fine curly hair, and this seems to clean my hair just fine. I don't straighten or blow dry my hair, so maybe it's just in better condition to start with than other people's hair.
EDIT: My hair has been feeling and looking differently, too frizzy for sure. The only thing I changed was my shampoo and conditioner to the Yes to Carrots Nourishing/Pampering ones, and I have to say I won't be repurchasing this product.

I wanted to switch to a sulflate-free shampoo & condtioner, so I picked up the Yes to Carrots Shampoo and condtioner. I am starting to hate this product. I switched first to the "Yes to Carrots Pampering conditioner", then I added this shampoo, and noticed to this day my hair has been falling out in great numbers. This has never happened to me. The only thing I changed in my hair routine is adding these two Yes to Carrot products. When I was using the condtioner alone, I don't remember my hair falling out this much, but maybe it was, and using the combo of the shampoo + condtioner has increased the hair loss. I'm definitely not going to purschase these products again. The condtioner is NOT moisturizing at all for me. There is no change in my hair after using these products. I don't see any shine, or healthier hair to make me want to continue using these; all I see is hair loss and breakage. Before using these products, specifically the shampoo, I didn't really have breakage. Now my hair is falling from the roots, and it's breaking from the ends. I didn't have damage-free hair from the start, but it definitely was in better condtion than it is now after using these products. I'm really dissappointed because I heard sulflate-free products are better for your hair, but I guess from using this products I would disagree. The ones I bought are also the newer version called "Yes to Carrots Nourishing Shampoo" & "Yes to Carrots Pampering Condtioner", the old version was called "Yes to Carrots Pampering Shampoo" & "Yes to Carrots Nourishing Condtionder"/"Yest to Carrots Pampering MUD MASK".
They basically switched "Nourishing" & "Pampering" around, and they don't have the mud mask anymore. I didn't try the older version, so I can't say if that one was better.
Also, make sure you check the name & expiration date. At first I picked up the older version condtioner which was expired a year ago, so I went back to the store and the manager said that he would tell his employees to check better because products that old shouldn't be on the store's shelf.

What to say about this shampoo? First of all, it has a very odd scent, not completely unpleasant, but not pleasant either. My hair actually reacted pretty well to this, and if I were to rate it on that factor alone would probably be a 4. However, this severely irritated my scalp. I don't normally have dandruff, but I was flaking everywhere when I used this. My hair was shiny and felt great, but it just didn't work for me with all the dandruff.

I have long, wavy hair that's oily but can also get dry along the length. I shampoo with this every other day (I also use conditioner but no styling products) and I love it. I've gotten so many compliments on my hair while using it - I also got a good hair cut at the same time, but still, the shininess must be due at least in part to this. My hair feels very soft but has good body (at least on the day I wash it - on the other day it gets flat at the crown due to incipient oil). I took off a lippie for packaging because my husband left it open on the shower floor while showering and water got in and made the top half quite watery. That much water shouldn't have been able to get in if you see what kind of opening it has. The only serious strike against it, though, is it gets 6/10 on health from goodguide.com. I could deal with that for a rinse-away product except it contains chamomile oil, which according to them can cause asthma. Since I have serious asthma this very sadly means I probably won't be buying again.
