This lipstick is a little on the pricey side which i dont usually go for
But its such a nice lipstick, very pigmented and long lasting
Almost shimmery but not the kind of shimmer that looks like you have glitter on your lips-more of just a sheen look
Very silky and feels great on the lips

I was disappointed because it looks so pretty in the tube, but it also turned an insane NEON fuschia color on me (NC20). It was an impulse buy - I should've checked MUA first!

For ref: nc15/20ish leaning neutral, dark hair & eyes. First off, I don't like heavy opaque lipsticks and prefer sheer, natural-looking lippies such as Clinique Black Honey and this fits the bill. I generally can't wear cool-toned colors but this works for me and ends up being a medium neutral rose color, not red. When I first swipe it on it looks too bright/fuschia, however when I blot it down with my fingers my natural lip color comes through a bit and it magically transforms into a flattering ylbb stain (that lasts at least 4 hrs on me). The lip sheers are unique in that they make your lips look smooth and full without a heavy gloss-like finish. I'm pretty sensitive to fragrance but I don't smell anything. Can't wait to try the Bare lips and Tender lips. I bought this @ the Sephora b&m store but online they don't offer this color.

This poor lipstick gets no love, but I am here to throw some adoration its way. I always test a new lipstick color on a face with no makeup. If it's face and eye brightening, it's a keeper, and Healthy Lips does just that. It works very well on my pigmented, medium-rosy, cool lips and settles down as a mid-toned rose with a hint of red--what I had hoped Laura Mercier's 'Mistress' would be like, which was slightly too warm. for me. I see no brown or beige in Healthy Lips. To be sure, this is a cool lipstick, and I can see how it might turn fuchsia on some lips that have a lot of blue in them. Surprisingly, it does not turn fuchsia on my bluish lips (like Julie Hewett's gorgeous 'Lulu' does).

The texture is not exactly a sheer lipstick, as advertised, but it is smooth and non drying--and I make my lipsticks work hard. (I wear them as lip balm). When it fades, it leaves behind a lovely stain, so often I just pop a bit of balm or gloss on top when I want to add moisture back to my lips, such as after eating.

I am surprised that Health Lips has such a low rating. I usually buy this lipstick 2 at a time - I have them in my kitchen drawer, my purse, in my makeup cabinet, in my work bag. It's such a flattering, natural colour and the texture is very moisturising. Yes, the colour doesn't last and needs to be reapplied often but that's the only negative thing I can say about this lippy.

The one lipstick I always return to. Works both days at work or for the evening. I first put on a lipbalm (Bepanthen works wonders) and this one. Wow! Makes my lips smooth and natural looking, like my lips but better. I really like the smell! Perfect color, suits my olive skin.

This color is purplish, fuschia on me. I have light olive skin with yellow under tones which takes warm colors very well. Since this turn "dead" on me, I would say it sure is a cool color. Texture is not at all like the other sheer LM lipsticks, this one even though is sheer, feels kind of heavy. I could feel it dragging across my lips upon application, not the smooth slide that I would expect from this LM line of stick glosses. Drying on the lips too. And it's not shimmery or glossy looking. What a waste of money, since I love the other sheer LM lipsticks (also have Poppy, Baked Earth, Pomegranate, Rosewater and Tender Lips). But I've discovered that if I apply the LM Rosewater on top after applying this, the end result is really nice. Rosewater is a creamier, shinier shimmery pale light pink, so it came out pinkish dark rose with some subtle shimmer. Takes out the drying feel of the Sheer Healthy Lips too. So if you have this colour and you are disappointed with it like the other reviewers, and you also have the Rosewater (which is also great for days when I go for heavy, smoky eyes), try using the Rosewater on top of this. Not bad at all.

Caused my lips to flake. All of the "healthy lips" (baby lip, healthy lip, all of these colors) caused a rash on my lips. The Stickgloss also caused the same reaction so don't buy it. The "Creme" lipsticks are a dream and no reaction.

I love his lippie purely based on the color. The pros: color is beautiful soft red and completely flattering for my coloring - fair-med skin w/peach undertones, dark brown hair and eyes, pale lips. I wear this frequently purely for the color. It totally is mlbb and healthy lips color. Does add a bit of brightness too, its on the brighter red side but very soft. Cons: Drying, not sheer, not great staying power. Need to have nice exfoliated lips or the dry nature of this stuff accentuates any flaking.

This lipstick was an impulse buy for me last night at Nordstrom, but I love it! I put applied it this morning at work and then forgot I had it on. When I went to the bathroom a few hours later, I thought, "Wow, my lips look good...!" Then I realized it was my new lippie. :)

Gives my olive complexion a heathly, natural lift! My lips are naturally slightly pink, and this doesn't look fuschia at all--more sheer red with a tinge of pink. I recommend!

THİS is a horrible lipstick. İ only like the colour but the quality is worst. Or the lipstick that İ ordered from web is old, İ dont know. İt smells terrible like old oil, and its not smooth, İ have to press it on my lips to get it there. and it dried out my lips. Terrible product. İ've never seen and used such bad product. İ have to throw it away. 20.-usd gone.
İ want a sheer smooth lipstick, that looks natural like healthy lips, but this isnt it. İ am warning you: dont buy these lipsticks.
But İ will try the stickgloss from this brand. Lot of members write this smell thing about the lipsticks but they like the stickglosses.

I actually found this quite heavy for a "sheer" product. Having said that, however, Healthy Lips is a fabulous colour on my pigmented, cool-toned lips. It goes on a medium-deep pinkish red - not at all fuschia - and really brightens up my face while still looking a really natural shade. It lasts extremely well and doesn't bleed over the lipline, but I would have preferred slighly more shine and a lighter feel to the lipstick.

I guess this one isn't for everyone! For me, it is the perfect red. I have light olive toned skin with pigmented lips, dark hair, and dark brown eyes. My sister saw this on me and said "Oh my God, that's the best red lipstick I've ever seen." Looks great on her, too. Doesn't turn fuschia on me, just stays the perfect RED. I've already been through 3 tubes and am nearly ready for number 4.

Healthy Lips is currently one of my favorite lipsticks. It's deep red-rose in the tube, but since it's sheer it isn't as deep on the lips. I have quite a bit of pink to my lips naturally, but amazingly enough it doesn't turn fuchsia. It really gives my lips a rosy, healthy look. It obviously doesn't give that look to everyone, so I guess testing it would be a good idea. I love the texture. It's soft and smooth, and so feels comfortable on the lips, yet it wears very well too. That surprised me. Usually, sheer lipsticks wear off easily and anything long-wearing can dry out my lips. Healthy Lips doesn't do that to me. The lipstick also feels light on my lips, like I have nothing on. I just get a stain of rosy, sheer color. So pretty. What is not so pretty, however, is the scent. Yep, this one has the typical LM "old lady" lipstick scent. I don't like it, but I find it tolerable. Packaging is kind of clunky too. For a lipstick so pretty and such good quality though, I can live with these two drawbacks. ;)

Healthy Lips looks too red visually. But when applied, gives that right shade of sheer red for a sweet geisha look--the red for people who can't wear red! It's almost just a stain when applied so don't be fooled by the pigment! It applies sheer, almost lip-balmy in feel. But if you wanna up the intensity and go full on, you can if you apply more! A little goes a long way. I took off one lippie for the smell-- a bit plasticky like most LM lipsticks are. Thumbs up for the super natural texture of its formula. I'd compare it with Maybelline's Dragonfly Red but a tad less glossy.

I am yet another person who just "had" to have this lipstick and, needleess to say, it is already on it's way back for a refund. I've read about this for quite some time and, most recently, saw Sara Jessica Parker wearing it on the cover of In Style. It looked fabulous on her. I ordered it from Amazon.com and it was $20, but I did get free shipping. It arrived quickly and I could not wait to try it on. The color in the tube looked pretty dark, but when I put it on, oh my gosh. What a horrible color. If you've ever seen a "violet red" or "red violet" Crayola crayon, that is what it looks like. It was a very bright shade of fushia pink. I tried to mute it some with a nude color and event tried a gloss, but I quickly determined that I would never wear it again. One thing that is amazing to me is the texture is aweful! It is not moisturizing in the least. It did not go on smoothly and it made my lips feel very dry. I'm giving it 2 lippies because the packaging was nice and there was a full money back guarantee. I would have given it a third lippie if the texture had been nice and it was just not my color, but the quality just wasn't worth $20 for me even if I did love the shade. Wet and Wild lipstick is better than this.

My HG! What can I say? It is perfect on me (pale skin, dark hair and eyes). I cannot wear browns, coppers, corals, oranges, etc. My lipstick has to have blue undertones and has to bring some pop to my face. This is the color. I am on my second tube and will buy it again and again.

The SA convinced me to buy this because she claimed it was Julia Roberts' fave lipstick. Since I bought it a couple of years ago I have read quite a bit about in magazines that make out it's a universally flattering colour, which is isn't. In the store the colour looked quite nice on me. However, when I got home and put it on myself I wasn't as impressed. I do agree with many of the other reviewers that it does have too much pink in it to be claiming to be 'healthy'. I don't find it particularly drying to my lips and the smell/taste doesn't bother me but for the price I won't be buying this again. I only use this to lightly stain my lips when I'm using a lipgloss over the top of it that's quite pale. The two colours then balance out to look quite nice.
