First of all, this review listing is a huge mess. People are reviewing totally different products under this thread.
I'm writing this review for the Green Tea Serum (no retinol, no caffeine). I bought this to use under sunscreen during the day to calm my eczema and redness, and it definitely does its job! The green tea is very soothing and calming to my skin, and I have not had any redness or inflammation on my face after I started using this three months ago.
The texture is gel/watery and it sinks in immediately. It's not moisturizing, but I don't find it to be drying either. It serves as a perfect base for my sunscreen. I also have the cream version and I find it to be lightly moisturizing.

This review is for the Replenix 10X Retinol Green Tea Serum. I bought it based on recommendations in Allure & another magazine I can't remember the name of.
It sounds great, green tea & retinol, great for yoyur skin and helps prevent & reverse winkles. Maybe it does, but I can't use it long enough to find out. It doesn't absorb into your skin, it just sits on top. The bottle says to put it on before bed since sunlight makes the retinol ineffective. In the morning I still have this greasy film all over my face. I can wipe it off w/ a tissue and it's still think & gooey.
I wouldn't recommend this based on the fact to it just sits on your slink & is quite messy because of that.

It feels like water on your skin. I suppose as a preventative measure it could be productive. But unlike other antioxidants where I notice an immediate improvement in my skin - i see nothing with this - like paying 38 for colored watery gel on my face.

I purchased this recently and have had super great results. It definitely helps my sunscreen become much more effective. I apply this slightly brown gel serum, then my sunscreen in the morning. I have not seen any type of redness, it actually calms my skin. During a day in the sun, usually I can see some type of skin color changes (my hyper pigmentation on forehead becomes noticeably darker; even when I wear my 45 and 60 SPF sunscreen. Now when I use the Green Tea serum first, the results are excellent. Absolutely no skin color changes! Hooray! I don't go a day without it. I heard the C E Fueric is supposed to help increase the effectiveness of sunscreen and I think this is better and the cost is 32.00 at Skin West. I have not had a single break out and it keeps any and all redness away. I have Rosacea a little on my cheeks. This is a fantastic & highly recommended product that really does produce results. I am thankful that I have found this product! I have also put a request in to PB to review this product. I think she will have glowing reviews for this winner!

My review - for the CF product. I have always been a huge fan of green tea polyphenol serums but have not been able to find a pure product until Topix. Actually I learnt of this product almost three years ago when I was going through a period when my skin was always upset and flushed - I did not ever consider purchasing because of how hard it is to buy outside of the US and the price! Also I went through a crazy DIY period when I bought lots of green tea extracts caffeine, licorice, sandalwood etc etc.. but honestly these actives are very difficult to dissolve and even harder to create an effective delivery system - from now on I will stick to big brands that have the resources to create good formulations.
Now my skin is at the stage where a lot of the inflammatory redness has subsided and even disappeared without Topix but I have a lot of minute surface capillaries from years of rough exfoliation. I do still hope that green tea is something that my skin will find beneficial, but as with any product there are always things lacking with the formulation.
I have oily skin but I started this during winter when my skin is very dehydrated and needs lots of humectants and emollients, and HA is not something my skin likes at all - it forms a film on my skin that causes tautness and inhibits product absorption. I use Topix as a base product straight after a toner, I even use it around my eyes because I am developing surface capillaries - I have rather thin skin! When I use only Topix and a light lotion type moisturiser, I find my skin feels very uncomfortable. I always finish with a rich emulsion and cream around problem areas.
Topix definitely is not stimulating to my skin, I use it right after a shower and normally I am *very* sensitive to any sensations during this period. As for its benefits, I am not sure if I can experience any improvement from my broken caps, although I will continue to use as an antioxidant product.
For those who are wanting to try other similar products, these are the few I know of containing calming ingredients like green tea polyphenols, licorice extract and mushroom extract - Pevonia RS2 concentrate, Origins Plantidote Serum, Albion Skin Essential Conditioner Noevir herbal line.
Update 11 Feb 2009. I have added this product back into my regime. I feel that the formulation has changed somewhat, it is slightly creamier, and the colour more opaque, the finish feels less watery and does not leave a film like feeling. My skin barrier has improved greatly as I've regulated my skincare routine, so I may experience different benefits from using this on regular basis now.

I have been using this product for quite some time & when I stop using it I notice a big difference. This is a fantastic light serum, infused with polyphenols, green tea that somehow lightly hydrates, calms, refreshs the skin on contact, gives a nice glow too. The effects are definetly cumlative, you have to use it for a few weeks to really see how it effects your skin. The change can be subtle, but over time it does increase the moisture content in the skin, calm inflammation, reduce pore size and provides maintenance against free radical damage, due impart to the polyphenols. For oily skin this may be enough moisture, for combination to drier skin types you would have to follow with another moisturizer, as this is not really a moisturizer but a treatment. There is a cream formulation as well, that would benefit drier skin, but I have not tried it yet. FYI- the site SkincareRx carries it, they have great customer service and quick shipping. This is a HG staple for me.

This is fantastic!!! Most of the time I see claims of dramatic results I ignore them. However, this product can offer dramatic redults quickly. Overtime this serum will improve the look and feel of your skin. It doesn't take away your enlarger pores, cure blackheads, or create a "botox" illusion.
BUT, this product does relieve irriation quickly/immediately, stop the signs of aging in their tracks, and helps soften previously damaged skin. I love this product!!!

I keep going back to this as a light moisturizer under my SPF and makeup. I don't use it as a night treatment. Very light and soaks right in. Sometimes, my skin is initially pink from it but that goes away quickly. Great for rosacea.

I have already gone through one bottle so i can tell you that I would and have repurchased. I usually wear this under my screen several times a week (i alternate b/w this and ferulic ce). I think of this as a preventative measure but it also leaves a really nice finish on my skin, moisterizes it and takes the red out. Overall i really like this and would recommend it.

I saw this serum rec'd on the yahoo rosacea forum. Some new studies came to light that indicated green tea was helping rosacea skin heal and ward off flares so I had to try this serum. It was totally not irritating but after using for 3 weeks I noticed my chin was very broken out and I kept flaring there with little relief. So I started paring down my regimen again but was still using the Replenix. Finally had an epiphany that maybe the Replenix serum was the culprit for my chin problems. Discontinued use and my chin was better in 24 hours. Bottom line: Maybe green tea serums are great for some rosaceans but this serum was not good for me. Also tried the cream which is very similar but more moisturizing. I bought from skinwest.com. Here are the ingred: Water, caffeine, green tea, sodium hyaluronate, bisabol, cucumber extract, chamomile extract, triethanolamine, polysorbate 20, carbomer, methylparaben, urea, tetrasodium EDTA.
