I LOVE THIS POLISH. I am a bank teller and I HAVE to have my nails done, people are always looking at them. Well, ladies the search is over, this is my favorite nude!

I have forever been on the search for the perfect nude pink color and never found one that looked great. I've tried every single sheer pink color by OPI, even the infamous Bubble Bath. None looked as good on me as they did on other people and GIRLS I figured out why when I slapped this gem of a polish on my nails. I have a yellow undertone and therefore sheer pinks just don't look quite pink on me.

This polish is lilac and it compliments my yellow undertones perfectly since they are opposite colors! I totally recommend this to any of you yellow undertone gals out there! If you have pink tones though, Bubble Bath is the one for you (:

Simply can't get enough of this nail polish! I wore this color yesterday for Easter and i got so many compliments. The color is very dainty and vibrant and goes very well with neutral and other pastel colors. What i love most is that the color lasts for a long time with out chipping or looking dull. Together with OPI clear protector gives you a great manicure.

Care to Danse? is by far my favorite polish! It's such a clean, classic look, just enough to look pulled together without standing out. The jelly finish is beautiful! I never use a whole bottle of polish before it gets goopy or I get tired of it, but I've bought this one a few times.

Light pale lilac in the bottle, just sheer and pretty on nails. Two coats is perfect. Healthy looking. I was worried there would be too much purple, but there's no problem whatsoever, there is just a faint sheer lilac. Love it.

Halfway through the bottle of this color in a matter of a few months because I wear it so often. Like the other reviewers I agree that it is a strange formula-kinda streaky and hard to apply. On days where it's hard to decide on a color (quite often for me) this is a great option. A few coats and it makes my nails look healthy and just done enough. Like the brush and the bottle as well.

This SHEER colour suits my skin tone. I like it on tips as chips aren't obvious. It is almost like a French mani without the effort. It is not a colour everyone will like but is good for those needing a low maintence or neutral work colour.

Beautiful color in the bottle. Doesn't work with fair skin tones. Looks a little too chalky. The formula was also a little runny and it took me about 4 thin coats to actually get it to look right.

- This was my first OPI nail polish purchase. I was initially extremely disappointed. However, in its defense, I am a polish amateur; I did not like it, but I did not know what it was or how it was supposed to look like on my nails. I just assumed it would show up the opaque lilac shade that it is in the bottle. That was not the case. However, this polish is meant to be a soft, sheer, lilac jelly. After three coats it is supposed to be the color of ballerina tights. It is not supposed to be opaque. If you try to layer it until it is opaque (*what I did), it looks like a goopy mess. Instead it needs to be used on those days when your nails need a break from the drama. This soft sheer nude will do the trick.
- I got this information from the beauty blogger "Let them have Polish!" Apparently you are supposed to:" layer three thin coats of the polish." She explains that, "the first two coats can be a little streaky. The key is to keep a light and steady hand and let the brush glide along the nail without putting any pressure on it".
- In conclusion, it is important to research the colors you want, before you buy them. I am not really a sheer, nude, nail polish, kind of gal. If I had known this, I would not have bought this shade. That is why I gave it such a poor rating. It just was not for me!

All the negative reviews for this make me sad. This is a wonderful, work appropriate jelly polish. All of the soft shade colors in this collection were very pale, and this is not an exception. It builds up to a very soft white, lilac tinted jelly finish with about 3 coats. Personally, I think its beautiful for when I'm after a cleaner or more neutral look. The formula is lovely. It is self leveling and non streaky. This is my second favorite of the entire collection.

I think the color is just okay. It's basically a jelly white with just a slight hue of lavender which only shows up if you apply 3 coats. All good except it stays on my nails maybe about 24 hours and poof then it's gone. Thought maybe it was just me but even with salon expertise it still stays on only maybe 48 hours and that's if I do nothing. A joke in a bottle. I can pay $2.48 for Sally Hansen and get this kind of wear or lack thereof.

I was so excited to paint my nails a beautiful pale lavender pastel, and to my utter dismay, an off white color was all I got. I was sure that with enough effort and coats, that lavender will show its face soon. I mean, OPI wouldn't do this to me, right?

4 coats later............
It's just a thicker off white color.
pale lavender beautiful pastel Who?

But
I actually don't mind this new color that I was not expecting. It's a shiny nude kinda nail color, something I don't usually do but I like it. I don't feel like returning it now because I could use it for those days I feel like going nude.
Even though it still worked out for me I'm still kind of upset that I bought it thinking I was going to get the color on the bottle. This is the One time that I didn't open the bottle and look at the color first, def will be more careful next time.

First, OPI brushes are the best, better even than Chanel Le Vernis (and I love Blue Satin). Second, the color. It is sheer, but it does show up as lavender on me, eventually. I still love its subtlety, even after two coats. I don't like the matte, neon lilacs that were so prevalent this spring and summer. I'll take sheer anyday!

I have the entire OPI NYC Ballet collection and I love all of them. Care to Danse is no exception. As other dissapointed reviewers have noted, Care to Danse's lovely pale lavendar bottle color does not show up on the nails. It shows up as more of an off white, and it's quite sheer so you're going to need a minimum of three coats. I think this collection could have been whittled down to three colors - peach, white and pink--since there isn't much difference between the colors. Still, this is a lovely polish and it wears really well.

i do not like this color at all. i thought i finally found the perfect pale lavender that i could wear to work. WRONG. its super sheer...almost clear and after two coats it just looks white. i will be exchanging this for another color.

this is the first OPI color i didnt like...i LOVE OPI....just missed the ball on this color especially since the color in the bottle looks perfect. FAIL OPI!

UPDATE***Though i did not like how sheer this color was and ended up returning it. I wanted to mention that if anyone does have this color they can top it with Princesses Rule and it looks really pretty.

Even though this does not show up as a lavender (it is a sheer cool-toned white), I love it. Great to counter-act yellow nails - try one thin coat under other shades. Love it! It has become a HG for me.

Don't be fooled by the bottle like everyone said its very sheer and I had to apply three coats and still looks whitefish no lavender color that I was hoping to get with this.

This looks like a lavender in the bottle but translates as a brightening white on my nails.

I'm a bit of a nail polish ho, and as a result, my nails have a bit of yellow tinge to them, concentrating at the ends. Nothing horrific however, just makes my nails look a wee bit grody. Anyway, with one coat of this, the little yellowing I have disappeared. It looked like I just had shiny healthy nails. I was baffled.

I think lavender is a complementary color to pale greeny yellow so from a mixing perspective it makes sense. The downside is won't show as lavender on my nails at all. A brightening white, even with two coats.

I like it for making me look well put together. It's great even in one coat, non-streaky, and even better with two coats. I'm taking off a lippie as well it looks nothing like the bottle.

It's okay. I'd rate it a 2.5 instead of 3 though. It had so much promise in the bottle. I do like the brush and the application. You can barely see the lavender and I put 3 coats on. It is good if you are going for a natural sheer look, but I usually prefer to do this with a sheer nude color like Infatuation. Oh well.

Not a huge fan of this shade. I got it in the mini set because I didn't want to pay for one full size bottle of one shade, wanted to try different ones. Probably won't use this again

Care to Danse? is a light sheer lavender color. It was very easy to apply and I didn't have any problems with chipping. Dried quickly. This color is very sheer but gives the nails a nice natural clean look. Unfortunately the lovely purple hue did not translate at all on to the nails. It looks more like a very very light pink almost a creamy white color out of the bottle. I wouldn't buy it again just because it is not hard to find sheer pinks and nudes. Out of the bottle it really isn't terribly special.
