Very nice palette, although not very pigmented. You should use a primer first, especially if your have oily eyelids. Otherwise they won't last for long. I have this in 02 Long Beach and it contains nice, more night-out-appropriate colors in darker, shimmery shades. You get what you pay, just good eyeshadows with a medium pigmentation and durance.

True that there's a lot of fall out but it's easy to blend and is cheap.

This palette wasn't nearly as good as the single shadows. They are dry, crumbly, sheer and flake off from my skin right away. When swatched with fingers they look pretty good but once on the lid, you can see its true nature. I ended up scraping out all the shadows, cleaning the wells up and mush some of my lipsticks in the palette. Now I have a portable lip palette!

I have the 01 South Beach one and I looove it. The sandy colour in the bottom right hand corner is my favorite, have almost used it completely up, too bad they don't sell it as a single colour too. The green in the bottom left is my second favorite it really works well with my eyes and skin, use it in the crease. For a cheapie, these are awesome.

Ok, this product is pretty bad without a primer. I was never into eyeshadow primers. I purchased the I LOVE STAGE eyeshadow base and I used that with the eyeshadow. It's so pretty and the colors are kinda pigmented with a primer or at least the essence one. So before you purchase this, don't forget an eyeshadow primer

I don't know why so many people don't like this product because it is amazing!!! If you are a beginning, or love makeup and want an eye shadow palette that will give you neutral colors for every day looks, this palette is for you. I love makeup and now that I'm 22 I'm trying to do more neutral looks that still look sexy. This palette has some good colors in it and isn't very much money. Everyone talks about the Naked palette (which is gorgeous, and if I had an extra $50 laying around for makeup, I'd think about buying it, but I'd rather buy 20 or more products for $50 than just one product for $50). All of the shadows in this palette are super pigmented, do not crease, and can be used to achieve lots of different looks for day or night. I always use an eye shadow primer so I've never tried this shadow on it's own, but with a primer it does not budge. The shadow lasts all day and night and I love that it has some shimmer to it. The palette has 7 shades that have shimmer and 1 shade that is more of a matte, but I love all of them. CONS: If you don't like shimmer I can understand why you wouldn't like this palette, but it's not big chunks or glitter or anything. Another con could be the brush it comes with. I don't use the brush it comes with personally because I'd rather use my makeup brushes, but it's not a bad brush if you had this palette in your purse or something. Another con could be the packaging. It doesn't look as chic as it could, but this brand is for all ages so you can't expect fabulous. I do like that the packaging is see through though, so you can see every shadow without opening it. For me though, the cons don't matter because the product itself works beautifully and that's all I care about.

This is my first Essence product (everything else I wanted at Ulta was out of stock). I was looking for a neutral eyeshadow palette and picked this up. The packaging is great and many of the colors look like dupes for other good neutral eyeshadows but the quality is really bad. All around terrible color payoff, even over a primer.
I really have to pack it on to get any of the colors to show up and even then - major fallout with huge chunks of glitter, it creases quickly even over a primer and doesn't last longer than an hour if you can get it to show up. I haven't tried all of the colors yet - only 3 so far - including one of the darker ones in my crease but I still give this a 2 as it was dirt cheap so I can't complain too much. I'm going to try foiling it and seeing if that helps.

I'm Dutch and my english is really bad but I'll try to explain why I don't like.
For real beginners, it is awesome. Really. but voor people wo really want to create big looks it's not good. The pigmentation is not really good, it's okay. I want to make good, big looks and that's not simple because of the pigment

Ok to get started I carried this out of the shop and then it broke! Which really irritated me, understandably, then I got home hoping that the product would be better than the packaging.
Well....we will see.
For reference I got this in 02 long beach
Colours:
Top left a shimmery nude champagne colour:
This colour fell out almost instantly shattering into a million pieces and not giving me much use :( It is a pretty colour though.
Under that is a shimmery light peach:
This colour is quite chalky and not very pigmented but would look very natural just as an overall lid colour.
Second top left is a pink-ish taupe:
Chalky, gives lots of fallout and you CAN NOT see it on your lid ( with or without primer)!
Under that is a golden bronze:
My favourite colour from this palette, this would look beautiful just to warm up your crease area and is easier to work with then other colours here.
Second top right is a dark shimmery grey:
This is muddy, chalky colour that is REALLY hard to work with.
Under that is a slightly brown taupe:
The second taupe in this palette is just as dissapointing as the other one.
Top right is a almost matte dark brown with odd glitters:
The glitters don't show up and I would recommend to use this an an eyeliner eventhough you can just work with it.
Under that is a glittery grey taupe-y colour:
Best taupe in the palette award! This is up there with the bronze.
Ok alot of info....sorry.
I am sorry to say this is just a waste of money and the brush is stupid.
Essence dissapointed me here, but pkease tell me if this worked for you and give me an idea how you did it, or if the other pallete from the sun club range is outstanding!

I love my high end stuff, like Dior and Guerlain e/s palettes.
But once in a while I really get intrigued by drugstore brands, especially when they get really good reviews.
I've tried a lot of things from Essence, and some are hits, other misses. This e/s palette is my latest find and it's defenitely a hit!
I've bought this one for summer to take this with me on the go and I loved the colour scheme. They have two different ones, 01 South beach with bright fun and summery colours, and 02 Long Beach with a more warm neutral theme.
I have lots of neutral palettes and I know the ones from Essence could never measure up to them (Urban Decay, Dior, Guerlain), so I've decided on the fun summery colours.
This is a review for no 01 South Beach.
The reason I also chose this palette is because I've been lemming the two Dior Croisette palettes from summer 2012, and this looks like the perfect marriage of both those palettes, with warm bronzes and bright aquas. I love Dior palettes but I already know I wont be using the colours that much so this is a great alternative!
It has eight colours, all satin or shimmery ones: bright turkoois, warm yellow, camel tan, shimmery warm champagne, dark more muted aqua/ sea blue, pastel mint green, warm dark brown (this one had a few loose glitters) and a light shimmery taupe.
My faves are the bright turkoois, camel tan and the taupe colours.
Quality isn't super, but very decent, especially considering the price (less than €3). Some e/s have great pigmentation (turkoois, dark brown), others need a bit more work (mint green, muted sea blue, yellow) but they can be built up.
The powders are a bit crumbly and can make a mess, but if you use an e/s base and tap off the excess powder you should be fine. I have the same problems with more expensive e/s as well.
The palette is made of very sturdy plastic, very small an cute and (as always) the brush that comes with it, is useless.
I love this, especially considering the price and this is certainly coming with me on holiday.
pros:
- small and convenient palette, looks very cute
- a lovely summery and beachy colour theme that gives options for neutral as well as bright eyes
- decent quality, but you need to use an e/s base
- price (dirt cheap)
cons:
- some colours are difficult to work with
- there is fall out, a bit crumbly
- useless brush
Overall: Great drugstore find!

I was rather dissapointed with this palettes. Since I liked the single shadows I thought I might as well try one one of the palettes. Some of the shades, such as the bronze (2nd towards the right on bottom row) and the tan (right above it) have little pigmentation, The two darkest browns appear muddy, and many of the colors are very similar in pigmentation. Overall the formula is rather chalky. Staying power is OK. Ok for a super natural look, but you might as well get there singles as they are much better. I would not repurchase this.
