I have been searching for 20+ years for a red I felt comfortable in. I found it.

-color is stunning, blue based great for cool skin tones
-makes my teeth look really white
-every time I wear it somebody asks me what color it is
-I always get flirted with when I wear this lipstick

I never used red as an everyday color, but find myself reaching for this more and more.

I love the scent, texture and packaging. This is a HG red for me.

They say there is a red to suit every skin tone...well, this one's mine. It looks sooooo good on me, brightens up my face and I always get compliments when I wear it.

Its a highly pigmented, rich creamy color that stays on long and doesn't smudge. And it has a wonderful fragrance too. Oh and I LOVE the packaging....the tube is so glamorous and luxurious. This is def my fave lipstick...there's nothing I don't like about it.

I thought this color would look ridiculous on me because of my fair skin, but this color almost has a hint of berry in it, which is why it matched my skin very nicely. The smell is also delicious! The application is very smooth and my lips felt creamy (yet it didn't smudge or anything).

Knowing I have extremely cool complexion, I steer clear of warm lipstick shades since I had my share of regrets in the past.

But this shade is different. On my lips, it is a very wearable dark wine colour crossed with brown. It may be a bit expressive on daytime and may need to be used sparingly with a lip brush, but it is perfect for night. I definitely love it and will buy it again.

I got this lippie in the Christmas huge EL set... So it was not really something I have chosen. I have it there, lingering around. I have been putting this a half dozen of times and I had to blend it with lighter shaded lippies to make it acceptable.. I am fair toned w/ light eyes and blonde hair... and this brown shade is a bit heavy to me. Or it's just a matter of fashion... I recall wearing brown lippies back in the early 90's and those brwns are not in fashion anymore. Perhaps this is the reason i do not like how it looks on me. I have given it away to my mother (who has darker tones than me).
Defintitely will work better on brunettes!

NW25, Lt. Brown, Blue/Hazel, Combo, No Breakouts. I like the formulas of the EL lippies, but can't get past the overwhelming smell! I just can't do it, no matter how much I like the color.

Gorgeous red-brown color. I am fair, so I apply lightly and blot when I want a beautiful simple stained lip look. It smells good too!

I saw this on a model in September Allure and had to get it immediately. Fig is a very densely pigmented warm red/berry colour with slight shimmer and I literally DAB it on to get a stain as it is very overpowering if you wear too much.
Judging from these reviews it doesn't seem to suit PPP's and is a warm colour geared towards warmer, olive tones which is what I am.
The scent is very unusual as I smell figs and cinnamon and I quite like it! I don't know if I'm imagining it but I seem to detect cinnamon in the formula as my lips definitely fill out and look plump when I wear this and they "tingle" ever so slightly.
Apparently this is given out frequently as a GWP and that's how I got it.

I have always stayed far, far away from any lipstick that even HINTED at orange.
Having said this, I am TOTALLY and pleasantly surprised--SHOCKED-- at how much I love this lipstick on me!
And I think "on me" is the key phrase here.
It is a beautiful brown-red color with an orange undertone that brings out the olive color in my mediterranean skin and also brings out my brown eyes.
The formula is quite moisturizing which is such a plus.

I use this lipstick with a Mahagony lipliner from Clinique and I fill my lips with this l/l first, but very, very, very lightly.

I have received so many compliments when I wear this lipstick which is the best review always.
Funny thing is, no one yet has said I have on a nice lipstick, just that I look "very nice today".
I know it's the lipstick that brings out my natural coloring because I don't get all the rave compliments any other times... too funny.

this is one of my favorite shades but i hate the faint rosy scent. Fig is a browned red shade. The perfect red that has warm undertones and doesnt turn pink. Too bad this has a disgusting flowery fruity scent. the lippie itself is moisturizing. retails for $22 and comes in a gold tube. This is also a frequent Gift with Purchase SHade. pretty but hate the scent.

Very nice red. A bit scary by itself, my MA suggested I layer Pure Color Lip gloss in Pure Platinum over it. Looked beautiful for my wedding!

This is a soft garnet that looks quite striking with my PPP skin, dark hair, and light eyes. It has a cream finish and feels very moisturizing. Unlike EL l/s formulations of years past, it's creamy without feeling heavy or gunky. According to gloss.com, it is scented like figs. I have no idea what a real fig smells like, but this is a pleasant, faint fruit smell. The only thing I don't care for is the way over-ornate packaging - I don't much go in for snob appeal marketing, and the heavy gold case seems to scream "monied woman of a certain age." Not the image I'm going for. It's a beautiful color and high-quality l/s, though, so I'd repurchase.

This is a decent color. Just decent. I find it looks good on my face until I try and put other MU on or get dressed. It seems to clash with everything and make my face look really sallow. No matter what e/s or blush I use, it seems to take on the opposite color and look really obvious in an ugly way. Apart from being unflattering on my skin color- PPP N -- it also bleeds really badly. I use sealant, which helps... but still. Why would I pay this much for l/s that needs an extra step when I can buy cheaper l/s that doesn't?

This came in a kit at an airport duty-free shop, so it was quite a bargain. Fig is a luscious red brown shade, more red than brown & with a hint of wine in it. Incredibly flattering & great for those who are a little gun-shy of red lipstick. The Pure Color formula is wonderful, smooth & moist with that delicious fruity scent.

I got this as GWP, but unfortunately it is just too overpowering for my PPP complexion. It is also a more warm toned red and I have cooler coloring. The actual formula of the lipstick itself is awesome. It has great texture and staying power. I will buy more Pure Color l/s, just not this shade.

A bit too dark for me (I'm a PPP) - and the formula, unlike other EL lipsticks (which I usually find pretty moisturizing), is dry. Luckily, I got this in a bonus, so I won't have qualms about giving this away!

This is a great wearable red with lots of shine. It's a tone that will work for so many people and a great lipstick if you're shy about reds. It's not too bright so that it's like scary red, just a medium neutral red tone that works! I love the Pure Color lipsticks because they last so well, have a glossy finish and are moisturizing. They feel absolutely wonderful in application!

It's Christmas Morn' (well, afternoon, I guess) and I just received my annual Estee Lauder gift box! This is the only thing I've sampled so far, but my grandma keeps remarking on how much she likes my lipsitck. I must say, this is a nice red. I don't do super red l/s, but I do like this. It's kind of medium, and I think I can pull it off. It's perfect for Christmas. The Pure Color Long Lasting lipstick is deliciously creamy and applies nicely. And, is it just me, or do I detect a hint of rasberry scent in this l/s? It smells good! EDIT: I wore it out form a long New Years Eve with the girls. Everyone ended up wearing it. It looked fabulous and was creamy and moisterizing. I'm fast falling in love with this l/s.
