Nars describes Gaiety blush as a bright candy pink. It looks nearly neon in the pan but don't let this little gem fool you, it's fantastic!!! Gaiety imparts a "lit from within" glow that I've yet to experience with any other. It has a satin finish without a sheen from glitter. Gaiety is my HG pink toned blush!!! It's a type of color that works with nearly every skin tone depending on how heavy handed you are.

For over one year I have been using Christian Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush, which I found very nice but I was a bit unhappy with the powdery finish that it left behind. It was good for touch ups during the day, to give this sort of blurred effect that takes the shine away. But I had to be very careful because it could easily look powdery and highlight the fine lines around my eyes.
For this reason I wanted to try Gaiety. Same colour, different consistency. I was right. Nars Gaiety is sheer, extremely finely milled so that I have to apply quite a bit to show. It melts with the foundation or with my skin and looks extremely natural, like a glow from within. But the thing that strikes me more is how long lasting it is. For years I have been using cheek stains to make sure that I had a sort of resistant blush that would survive over the heat and sweat of the day. But with this blush I don't need it. It melts with my skin and stays there until I take it off. It is amazing!
Years ago I have used Desire and I loved it but it tended to turn red on my skin so I had to be very careful to avoid the sunburn/tipsy look. But Gaiety is simply perfect.

I just tried this today for the first time. I had gone to SAKS in need of a replacement of my (former) HG Amour and ended up trying a bunch of other things. (HOw can I not, I am a full on NARS addict).
I don't know what the deal is but the Amour was pulling SO orange on me and not looking AT ALL like it used to on me. I don't get it. Have they changed the formulation? Did I change colors in the last 18 months?
Anyway, major disapointment as I now had no idea what blush to get. I decided to try Gaiety since it looked like a calmed-down version of Desire and figured there would no be issues with oranginess. I was right and the blush looked really great. Its a really fresh look and seemed to go well with a variety of lip colors ranging from pink to peachy. Its much easier to use than Desire, much more versatile IMO. A great new color.
for reference I am warm toned and semi-tan right now with yellow undertones. blond hair and blue eyes.
This blush performs better than expected. Its simply AMAZING and I am in love with it. Like other reviewers have said, this is a true bubblegum pink blush that DOES NOT TURN RED on me. It stays the same exact color on my cheeks as it is in the pan. The staying power is phenomenal. It lasted 8 hours without needed the slightest touch up. I have literally never experienced staying power like this with a blush. Granted, I was wearing foundation primer under my TM, but I do that most days and most blushes need touching up after 4 hours.
I am a bit obsessed with bright, light pinks right now (BB pale pink pot rouge is my other obsession ATM.) but this really takes the cake. I haven't felt so excited about a new purchase in a long time. I still love my NARS Angelika and Desire but they both create a very different color on my cheek despite being so close to the same color in the pan. And right now, I love a pale pink cheek that bright and cheerful.

I have warm undertones and I love this blush. The colour is very soft, cute and pastel-like and I can use it with a heavy hand without looking like I am about to go on stage (unlike desire). However I would not repurchase as it lasts forever and I'd like to try other blushes.

I was looking for a blush precisely this shade. It lasts all day long on my oily skin! I simply love it. It makes it look as though my makeup has stayed fresh all day long! I wear it with makeup forever's matte velvet, and their hd finishing powder and for someone who usually has cheaper makeups last around 2-4 hours, this blush really keeps me looking fresh all day! The color isn't too vibrant at all..It's one of my favorites by far. I would totally repurchase :)
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Normal, Medium Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
This blush looks like a bubblegum/pepto bismol pink blush in the pan but on the face, it's just the most beautiful shade ever. It provides a natural pink flush to the cheeks that makes me look like I've just been sent a valentine by a secret admirer. I have medium olive, Pakistani skin tone and this looks so natural on me. It also has a sheen/glow which makes the cheeks look even more healthy just so beautiful on the apples of my cheeks and very pigmented too.

This is my first nars blush, and i am very pleased with this blush!! the MA in mecca recommend me this color! and i totally fell in love. the color is not as vibrant as nars blush in "desire". Gaiety has a matte finish and it is more of a cool tone pink which i adoreeeeee!! and not to mention it's incredible lasting power on my cheeks!! i wore my makeup from around 9am and back home at 9pm,, it was still there (note: i do spray my trustee UD all nighter setting sprayy). The HYPE about nars blush is just so truee and well worthed!! i am going to venture down for more nars blush!! ^^
The only downside is the pricing! But i guess it is worth every penny u spend for this incredible long lasting blushh !! I need moree!!

The only reason I wouldn't buy this product again - is because the color is very bright and outside of my comfort zone lol
It is a beautiful light/bright blue toned pink. It is a matte color, so there is no shimmer or glitter. It does have a tendency to not have the silky feeling other Nars blushes have and comes off a bit chalky. I haven't decided if that's cause of the color or the formulation.
It is very light - but can be buildable.
Packaging is nice, but does collect dirt easily.

The perfect light pink, blue based blush. This works for cool tones but works beautifully on my sister's peach undertones, too. The quality isn't as good as other nars blushes: It only lasted 7 or 8 hours, where the other ones I've tried have lasted all day. This is the first nars blush I've had to reapply :(
I was trying to find a nice alternative to my Revlon "pretty in peony" blush that was discontinued. This is the perfect match. It takes 2 or 3 swipes to show up on my nw30/35 skin tone but that's normal with any light pink blue based blush.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair, Neutral Hair: Blond, Wavy, Fine Eyes: Blue
As with all other NARS blushes this is just lovely! I was a tad worried about this one because I am warm and this is obviously a cool shade. But I'm so glad I bought it anyways. It is sheer and build able and looks great. Gives my cheeks a nice healthy glow and looks so natural despite looking neon in the pan. Love love love!
