Really nothing special about this color... It's a flat, plain taupe, maybe even a bit greenish tint to it in certain light. Ironically, I've been looking for a color like this for years... Still looking, this is a tad bit too dark for me. I was afraid the formula would be a bit runny but it went on surprisingly smooth and easy. 2 coats was all it took, it went on evenly and looks good.

This polish is a lovely pale nude/slate grey colour. It gives a very prim and proper finish and looks great with most outfits (considering I only really wear grey, black & white!)
I wear this most days throughout the year unless I particularly fancy something else. The polish itself is very good quality, 2 coats and no streakiness. It doesn't chip but I put Seche Vite over the top anyway!

My new favourite nail polish! I've been looking for a putty coloured nail polish for years but they always look too muddy, this one is perfect! If I had to describe the colour, I'd say it is literally the colour of a dead cut off ear, in a good way! If that's possible?

If you are looking for a true medium-shaded taupe, then this color fits the bill. It is simply a brownish grey, not too dark or light. It's a very neutral color that is elegant-looking and relatively to apply if you're in a bit of a hurry(i.e., not something that I had to worry about staining my fingers during application). Application is pretty good; two thick coats did it for me.

This colour didn't work for me at all. I don't know whether it is the opaque finish it has, or my skintone is just too light for this colour, but on me it turns to be olive-greyish, very thick and flat, not flattering at all.
I try this from time to time to see maybe I'd like it this time, but nothing happens, it is just the same thick creamy colour with green undertone.

I love unusual nail colours! It's like a greyish murky beige, when certain light hits it, it looks a little greeny. It's great! Applies really nice and even. I put a white base underneath to make the colour show more so I can't comment on how it looks on bare nails..

I love its opacity and formula, I can use 2 coats for full coverage but I have mixed up feeling about the color. It is very pretty and unique but under the sun it makes my hand looks dead somehow and when I took it indoor it turns out perfect. Maybe it just my complexion, I surely love the color but I will use it only when I'm not stay active under the sun

Love love love loveee this polish. It's a dusty beige colour (beige with a hint of gray) with a creme finish. Applied easily, full opacity in two coats. Would definitely recommend!

I guess I'm in the minority here, because I don't really like this color. I wasn't sure about it when I saw the bottle, but there have been other OPI polishes which look so-so in the bottle but have turned out to be gorgeous once they're applied (for instance, Tickle My France-y and Meet Me on the Star Ferry).
This looks like a paint chip for a cool, light taupe color you'd paint an office wall with, and I just don't find it flattering at all.

I like this as an understated color. It looks more gray then nude on my finger tips. But without making it look like like I've been pulled out of a coffin. The formula for this was a bit thin but the color still applied rather opaque. I paired this with contrasting nails painted with a Roll in the Hague for a fun color block.

Beautiful taupe. It creates this amazing contrast between my skin color and the polish color. It's sophisticated and edgy at the same time. I love it. I only had to use 2 coates. It has a rich creamy finish.

This colour is definitely one of understated elegance! I have very fair skintone and I find that the colour matches me pretty well. It is not a loud shade, but definitely unique and work-appropriate. I find that it is also easy to match my Van-Gogh nails with my wardrobe! As I had the colour applied by my manicurist, I'm not sure about the consistency and application. The colour definitely needs two coats for it to properly shine through.

I have to admit...I bought this one solely based on the name, even though I was iffy on the color. But to my surprise, this has become one of my favorite shades! In the bottle, Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh looks like a beigey nude cream shade, but it takes on a whole new color on my nails. Once applied, this is a beige grey putty color, with a hint of green. It's a really unique yet inoffensive color. I do think that this is one shade that is very reliant on skin tone, though. I've seen it swatched on many hands on many blogs, and on the coloration of some people this shade is not so flattering. But I'm an NW 20, and this looks great on me.
Application was nice, as with most OPI creams. No streaks or bubbles, and completely opaque in two coats. This lasts about 6 days on me without chipping if I use a base coat and a top coat.
I'm so glad I picked this up, even though it's not a color I would typically gravitate toward. This is a limited edition shade, so I'm definitely buying a backup!

Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? is from OPI Holland 2012 Collection. This color is a soft beige with a profound clay color. It leans more to grey/brown tone. The color is similar to Skull & Gloss Bone from OPI Pirate of the Carribean Collection 2011 but this one has more brown/beige in it.
The color is a creme finish and I am amazed how easy to apply this color. It took almost only 1 coat to to make it opaque. But I still use 2 and it looks perfect. It actually looks quite elegant and I will buy this one again.
