This would have been a holy grail for me had It not given me a terrible allergic reaction! I absolutely loved the finish and how long it lasted on my oily skin until I realized it was to blame for my extremely dry swollen lips. Once I stopped using this foundation the irritation subsided. I normally don't have sensitive skin but something in this foundation didn't sit well with me. I'd be cautious when trying this out. Unfortunately I will never repurchase.

I'm very surprised by all the positive reviews for this product for oily skinned ladies. This lasted about 2 hours on my face, then the oil started to break through and most of the foundation was gone. I did however, like how this had a pump, and it applied smoothly. Other than that this did not work for me. Maybe this would work for more normal to dry skin types?

I'm currently on my second bottle of this. Where I live, the lightest shade is 010. It's a little pink for me, and I wish that I could find the neutral shade, but it's just not sold in this country. However, with powder over the top, it works for my pale but neutral skin. I LOVE this foundation. The coverage is excellent and it truly does last all day. I don't really have time to do touch-ups, but I don't really have to with this. I've tried a couple of foundations since (Cover FX drops and Clinique's new Concealer and Foundation in one), but I keep reaching for this one because it's just that good.

The shade beige alabaster 01 is the lightest one in the store here, and seems to be the lightest one available. Far too orange and far too pink! My skin is nw/nc 15 and this shade looked horrible on me, just dark orange! So unfortunately I couldn't go on trying it.

This is my new HG foundation! I am sooooooo picky when it comes to my foundation and have a tall order to fill in that department. I have oily skin, with lots of acne scaring and hyper pigmentation. I technically need a matte foundation to hold up on my skin, but I don't really enjoy true matte foundations. They can look very heavy and not have a natural finish that ages any fine lines or wrinkles. No thanks. I was searching for a foundation that had great coverage, looks natural, not heavy or cakey, that holds up on my oily skin, smoothed out my texture and with great packaging. I had been using Estée Lauder double wear for quite some time...this has replaced that! The ELDW was never perfect for me, it's too heavy and I always had to mix something with it to get the nice finish I really wanted from it. It did a great job at longevity though, which is why I kept reaching for it. But I have the perfect foundation that meets all my must-haves! It's natural, great build able coverage, lasts a while on my oily skin, it has a pump (YES!!!!!), the finish is so smooth and perfect! In love! It has a high price tag, but that doesn't bother me. You get what you pay for, drug store foundations are crap on my skin. Give this a try!

MY SKIN TYPE AND TONE
First, let me tell you a bit about my skin. I have VERY fair skin, which is sensitive and combination, but definitely more on the oily side in the T-zone. In other words I have a very oily T-zone, but still have dry spots and my cheeks are normal. My skin is also very acne prone, and has slight discolouration in some areas due to acne scarring. Given my skin colour and concerns, I find it very difficult to find a foundation, which provides good coverage, controls oil, matches my skin and lasts all day.

I got this foundation as a gift in the shade 100 I believe, the lightest colour, which I think is called 100 ivoire and it matches really well, as it is neither too pink nor too yellow, which I find very difficult to find. I often find foundations on my skin are either too pink or too yellow and this is a perfect balance, which actually makes me look healthy, not ghostly. I would describe it as a neutral fair colour. Given my fair colouring, I also appreciate that this has SPF 20 so i don't have to add an extra layer of product to my already greasy skin. Although this may not be the best for people who prefer not to have sunscreen in their foundations.

THE REVIEW
How long have I been wearing it?
I have been wearing this foundation for about a month and a half and I have to say it is great. It is very pricey and I'm dreading having to purchase another, but it really is quite an amazing foundation in my opinion. The colour is great, and I find it lasts about 10-12 hours and still looks great. It also smells quite nice I find, not overpowering, just a nice scent.

Matte?
Although it claims to be matte, however, I do not find this to be quite the case. Upon application, I actually find it to be a satin, natural skin like finish, which becomes matte when it dries down and is set with powder. Also, throughout the day, this foundation does give way to oil, but still looks nice, just a bit dewy, which can be remedied with blotting papers and powder.

Application?
The application process is quite nice; it feels nice, spreads easily and it covers quickly, without having to use a ton of product (about 2 to 2 and 1/2 pumps for entire face). Just for reference, I apply this with a beauty blender since i've found this applies it the best and makes everything blend in seamlessly (it's just my go to method for foundation application).

Lasting Power and transference?
This foundation lasts well throughout the day, despite letting oil break through, the foundation itself stays intact (you see and feel the oil but the foundation looks the same) and lasts even better with a primer (I use the porefessional by Benefit). It lasts approximately 10-12 hours on me, despite its 24 hour claim. Also, I find this does transfer, despite its claims not to, so I wouldn't recommend touching your face too much or hugging anyone too hard if they come in contact with your face.

Overall, I think this is a great foundation in terms of lasting power, application, colour range for fair girls, and it looks gorgeous on the skin, which while it's not totally matte, it is still really nice. The only major con I have despite the little ones listed below is the price, which is SO MUCH MY GOD WHY. But, I still love it and would totally recommend it if you can afford it.

OVERALL REVIEW IN POINT FORM

Pros
- Pump packaging, which is gorgeous (matte glass bottle with embossed the Lancome logo on the cap)
- Great colour range for fairer skin (not too pink, not too yellow)
- You do not have to use a lot of product to get a good amount of coverage
- Foundation lasts well on the skin, although oil comes through (oil doesn't break down the foundation too much to where it disrupts the appearance of the actual foundation)
-Natural looking despite giving a good amount of coverage (covers acne, scarring, discolouration etc.)
- You feel fancy as F using it

Cons
- Very Pricey (about $65 Canadian)
- Have to blot/powder throughout the day
- Glass bottle is beautiful, but not the most practical (breakable)
- You don't get a lot of foundation for the price (just the normal amount)

Alternative foundations (if you're not into the price of this one)
- L'oreal Infallible (I am in the lightest shade again)
This foundation is similar in consistency (thicker, cream like) and coverage, only the shades run a bit pinker for fair girls, and it actually lasts longer without blotting and stays matte throughout the day. Also the price is amazing (about 10-17$ Canadian depending on where you purchase). The cheapest I have found is Walmart, but the shades are always gone.

This is just great. After trying out a lot of different foundations (High end and medium/full coverage) this one is definitely the best in terms of still looking natural.

I have a lot of light colored freckels on my face and this covers them very well. I still use a concealer for the darker spots but that's fine with me.
What makes this foundation so great for me is the finish. Up close this one looks great! No cake face in daylight. It's just smooth, beautiful skin.
I feel like a lot of foundations look 'grainy' and 'powdery' when applied, this does not.

It claims to be matte, but it does have a shine to it. Which I love, because I feel like skin should still look like skin. It's not a greasy shine. It does not creep into fine lines. It doesn't make your pores look worse, but I do recommend wearing this with a primer.

It can be a little dry, so you have to moisturize. Sometimes when my skin is a little dryer I use Goss's golden tip and use a drop of jojoba oil. In terms of longlasting; yes. It does last a longgg time on your skin. I actually find that it looks even better true the day, as you're natural oils mix with this foundation.

If you're thinking about purchasing this foundation, you should get a sample and try this one out. Cause it's not cheap and you do wanna make sure this is for you.

I have been using this foundation for the last 5 years. No foundation (in my experience) has come close to the coverage, lasting power and finish of Teint Idole. This foundation applies very easily, and leaves skin even, with a velvet/matte finish. I apply with a damp beauty blender & I use the Shiseido translucent loose powder powder to set, and it lasts throughout the workday with no problems. Lancome claims that this foundation would last 24 hours. I think that is a bit of a stretch, but it is certainly long lasting. I feel that this foundation may not be suited for individuals with dry skin - it does highlight dry patches. Overall I am hooked on this foundation. I love how i look when I am wearing it.

My go to and holy grail foundation. I`m on my 3rd bottle right now and I will keep on buying this until they stop selling it. I love how it`s matt on the skin but still not drying, and that it covers up EVERYTHING. I have acne prone skin and a lot of acne scars, but you can`t see anything when I`m wearing this.
