I have a very sensitive scalp. These MOP products - specifically this lemon grass shampoo has been a savior for me. No longer I itch and scratch. The shampoo is not for daily use but overall I think is a good product.

I'm on the fence about this. I used to see a hairdresser who used these products, and I bought this on a whim at Ulta. I loooooove the lemongrass scent, but the formula is just too strong for daily use. And don't even think about using this without a conditioner! My hair feels like straw right now!! This might be great just a couple of times a week, but that's not what I'm looking for in a shampoo. I'd rather just use something that I know will work day in and day out. I'm going back to my Pureology stuff and will hopefully finish this off by using it sporadically over the next few weeks.

Update: I am still trying to finish this bottle, but the only way I can use it is to mix it with a more moisturizing shampoo. This just makes my hair too dry and crackly.

This shampoo smells lovely and fresh, cleans well using just a small amount and isn't too drying - though it's most suited for fine hair that is normal to a bit oily and doesn't have much damage. Used with the matching conditioner my fine hair was light, shiny, bouncy and without residue. I alternated with other products that were a bit more nourishing/moisturizing so I didn't have any problems with increased dryness. Sadly this line of products irritate the skin on my face and neck.I loved the way my hair looked and felt so much that I tried using it very carefully to avoid getting it anywhere but my scalp and hair and rinsing very, very thoroughly but eventually it started making my scalp itchy too. This would definitely be a staple if I wasn't so allergy/sensitivity-prone.

Nothing extraordinary in this shampoo, it's quite an average. Very mild, maybe even too mild. The scent is nice if you like lemon.

I have oily roots and fine dry hair thats coloured and highlighted. I really love this shampoo. I used FF Au Natural and my hair was falling out in clumps. I stopped using it and switched to MOP. This is the first shampoo I'm trying in this range and its amazing. The fragrance is mild, it keeps my hair shiny, smooth & airy. I used the conditioner and loved that too. This is a keeper, atleast for now!.

After a while of not being able to find this shampoo, my hair was falling out more and more. It wasn't noticeable on my head, but it was in the shower and all over the floors of my house. I have fine, uncolored hair, so the fallout wasn't from chemical treatments. I have recently found it again online, and I know I wasn't misjudging. There has been a marked decrease in hairballs around the house. This is simply a good shampoo that cleans hair. It does not claim to create curls and waves or volumes of tresses. I just hope MOP continues to offer it.

I only just started using this shampoo a few days ago but I'm really liking it. I have baby fine hair on the thin side that tends to be oily around the scalp. I have to wash my hair everyday and this shampoo, along with the conditioner, makes it bouncy, light and shiny. I could probably use this without the conditioner, but it is so light I use it anyway for good measure.

The impression I am getting from all the bad reviews is that people with highlighted or coloured hair on the dry side probably shouldn't use this? I can see how it would strip colour and be harsh on fragile hair.

I bought the one litre size of this shampoo and it came with a litre of conditioner for free so in terms of price, it was pretty reasonable.

I don't understand what all the bad reviews are for. I got a sample of this shampoo for Christmas along with the conditioner and root lifting spray and I can say that I have never had my hair have so much volume or look so good. I didn't find it drying at all, and I was glad that it kept my oilies at bay. All of you saying that it's drying should use it with the conditioner if you aren't already. I really like this stuff. It has a pleasant smell and I think it does the job that it's supposed to.

I have to give this shampoo a great review. I've found this to be the best shampoo I've ever found for my hair (and I'm 38, so I've been looking a while). My hair is fine and thin and tends to get oily quickly -- I pretty much have to shampoo daily. I use this with the lemongrass conditioner and find that the conditioner washes out easily and my hair still feels squeaky clean after application. I've had to get used to having less lather while shampooing, but aside from that love the product. It smells great and I haven't had a problem with tangles -- I've found it easy to comb through after use. The shampoo/conditioner combo has finally given my hair a less frizzy, very soft appearance with increased body. So far, I'm VERY pleased.

As other reviewers have said I really wanted this to work but it isn't any better than cheaper brands. The first few times I used this I thought it was good but after that it was too drying and made my hair tangle. As for extra volume??? It actually seemed to make my hair greasy and flat. The same goes for the conditioner. On the plus side it does smell nice and is good for removing build up as I don't think you could use this everyday. The search goes on for my HG but it's starting to become expensive!!

I really wanted to like this as I like to use natural products, and it smells divine, but it's just not worth the price. it's fine, ok, adequate but just really nothing special and I don't think it really does much for the volume of my hair.

Easily the worst shampoo (and conditioner - I bought the set) that I have ever used. Left my fine, slightly bleached hair like straw. I remember having to put in a large amount of leave-in conditioner just to be able to run a comb through it! It smells like dishwashing detergent, and probably was about as effective on my hair. Awful.

I have fine, curly hair and most volumizing shampoos just make it frizzy and dull. I bought this with the matching conditioner and used them together. For the first few days, they worked fine, but suddenly my hair just turned to straw. I'd rinse out the shampoo and my hair would feel rough and brittle, and when it dried it just looked like a rat's nest. Terrible, overpriced product.

I am not quite sure what to say about MOP. I love their products... in theory. The ingredient listing is pure, the packaging simple, the fragrances light and natural. The lemongrass shampoo was recomended to me by my stylist - and while, at first, I liked it (especially the scent), but it stripped the color (single process) right out of my hair. Not good.

Prefer Kerastase and Biolage color-care products. Will NOT re-purchase.

I have medium/fine hair that isn't that oily and my hair is long and layered, i find this shampoo gives my hair body without stripping it of moisture and doesn't leave it too dry like Fresh's Soda shampoo. I can't use it everyday, it isn't hydrating enough, but it's good especially when I'm going out for a night and need lots of volume in my hair!

Very good low sulphate shampoo.
Good for my fine hair which is quite oily and easily weighed down by some products.
I used to use Redken before MOP, but the product build-up is awful.

Why is it that every volumizing shampoo makes my scalp itchy? So did this one. It also made my blond hair look shineless. I do not think it made my hair more voluminous either. I do not like the smell but my boyfriend digs it. I would not get this one again.

This is a gentle shampoo that leaves my hair feeling clean and weightless. I have very fine hair that tends to be limp unless I do stuff to it, but I think this shampoo gives it some movement and also some shine which I did not expect. Usually my hair looks best the day after I wash it, but now it looks decent the day of, even without the aid of a blowdryer. This makes my hair soft but not flat or flyaway, and I use less conditioner now, allowing for little product buildup. I think it always feels good to switch shampoos, but this is definitely a notable product I'd come back to. It has a light, natural scent and, overall, is just a nice change of pace from your usual creamy, foamy drugstore variety or overscented salon-brand.

I grabbed this in a rush without reading the label. I wouldn't have bought it if I had. It reads "helps fatten up skinny hair, cause fat is where it's at" Well my hair is plenty fat. Fine but very abundant. And I find 'fattening' shampoos generally leave a coating on the hair that adds a kind of unmanageable sticky volume and also weight. This does neither. It left my hair very clean and soft with a lot of movement. My hair is also highlighted and I don't find this even slightly drying. This is not as good as my favourite Kerastase Bain Satin but certainly much better than most salon shampoos. And Oh have I tried them all. Pleasant lemon herbal scent.
