Wellllll....it's incredibly gorgeous, will stay on your lips for like three years, but it makes them feel like the sahara desert. It doesn't chap my lips, but it feels really dry while wearing it. That having been said, I'm planning on buying a few more. They really are good quality. And the packaging is beautiful.

It makes my lips hurt just to review this. I wore this once (not a newbie to liquid lipsticks) and my lips felt like they had razors coming out of them after the second hour. Okay. Asked MUB how to apply better since it's a pretty color and wasn't "dupable" at the time. After scrubbing, priming, moisturizing etc it still was so painful. I am now turning my attention to Jeffree Starr and Colourpop, who have similar colors that don't make me feel like my lips are being ripped off.

Ok, I see what all the fuss is about. I got lucky a couple of days ago and they had just restocked Lolita at Sephora. I believe this is the third formulation but since it's a big restock, I'm wondering if this is possibly a new FOURTH formulation. Anyway, this is quite a bit darker than I would normally wear. I tend to stick to a lot of peachy pink nudes but I took a chance after everyone loving this so much. It requires careful application and I wore it with MAC's Soar lip liner to help keep it in the lines. Soar is a perfect match for this. It goes on wet and it has a smell that reminds me a bit of buttered popcorn meets vanilla. Yummy. Once it dries, it stays put. It doesn't move, it doesn't fade, it doesn't transfer. I put this on tonight and went out for dinner. It stayed on my face from 4 pm to 10 pm and that included eating a full meal, having a cocktail and a coffee. I thought FOR SURE I would look in my compact and see a big mess but nope, it was all still on my lips and I didn't even have to re-apply. My only complaint would be that this is very drying. It doesn't look flaky or drying but it FEELS that way. It's a bit uncomfortable and it made me feel like my lips were flaky when they actually weren't. The dry feeling is the only reason I'm not giving it 5 lippies because I really love it and I will definitely repurchase. I'm really impressed with how awesome Kat Von D's makeup brand has gotten and I LOVE that it's cruelty-free.

This is for Bow n arrow, not Lolita. I got this at Sephora in December. I've worn it for long periods of time and it does wear very nicely for a liquid lipstick. There's no embarrassing crusting or patchiness. The color is beautiful against my skin, which is in the shade Punjab by Nars for reference. I would definitely repurchase this if I ever get the chance, it seems to be sold out all the time. I LOVE the design on the wand. My ONLY complaint is mine smells like Ajax😔 Regardless because of the color and wear time I will buy again. Love this liquid lipstick.

I originally went into Sephora wanting to get Lolita 2, but it was sold out. Surprisingly, they did have Lolita in stock. I lucked out and got the last one they had. They must have just restocked since it's been sold out every other time I went into Sephora.

The color of lolita on my lips looks exactly the same as in the tube. It's a beautiful mauvey, brown pink color. Definitely cool toned. It glides on super pigmented and even. It feels tacky when it's drying, but once it's dry, it's completely matte and not tacky at all. Once completely dried, color darkens a bit and looks more brown than when originally applied.

I'm not really a huge fan of matte finishes since they do tend to be more drying. This liquid lipstick can be quite drying. I don't foresee myself reaching for this on a daily basis, but definitely for times when i want a long wearing lipstick. The wear time on this is fantastic!!! I can't say how many hours exactly, but it lasts through drinking and snacking. I would assume anything oily would make it come off faster though. I also love how i don't have to worry about it transferring onto cups, straws etc.

***UPDATE*** I purchased Lolita 2 online and love it!! It really is the "alter ego" of the original. Lolita 2 is a warmed tone burnt orange (terracotta) color. I actually prefer the lolita 2 over the original but i'm glad I have both.

Let me start by saying that getting the colors i wanted took a VERY long time!

Colors - I own Lolita, Lolita II, Requiem, Bow n' Arrow, Noble, Lovesick, and Double Dare.
My Favorite would have to be Bow n' Arrow due to its wear-ability for everyday. Bow n' Arrow is frequently sold out due to it being the most neutral out of the colors.I'd have to say my next favorite would be Lovesick and then Requiem. I wish this range had more neutral colors rather than the brights and really dark colors as those are always available. Lolita was slightly disappointing it is more vampy than mauvey and is too dark for everyday wear for me. Noble washed me out a bit but could look good depending on your skin tone. Haven't tried double dare yet but it seems like a popular color so i'm gonna give it go!

Packaging/Price- The packaging is slim and has a nice design on it, nothing to really complain about. The wand is super long and has a doe foot applicator. You get quite a bit of product for the amount you pay. At $20 its pretty much the same as any other lip product sold at sephora.

The Wear- These are super matte which i like but after a few hours of wear it tends to get super dry and can sometimes flake off. For the lighter colors like Bow n' Arrow, that's fine but for darker colors like Lolita it is very noticeable. They do stay put but in exchange they are super drying so you must prep your lips before applying. I'd recommend using a lip liner with these, at least for the darker colors as the applicator could be tricky at first since its so long. I prefer the too faced liquid lipsticks though they aren't as matte, they lightly fade rather than flake.

Overall- 4/5 These are definitely the go to matte liquid lipstick if that it is what you are looking for! Color selection could be improved, price is fine, and packaging as well. They last a decent amount of time before flaking. Would buy more if new neutrals came out! Not in love with Lolita or maybe it was just a bad one.

Had to return this unfortunately. I'm very pale and the colour came out looking way to brown on me. It wasn't a good look at all. I had to return this. The formula was nice however; and I'm thinking of trying Lolita 2

Lolita is a nice rusty rose beige shade which is very in right now. Its also a liquid to matte lipstick. With that being said, I don't like the tackiness I feel after it dries.

Love this lip color but... I love BOW N ARROW much more!

Holy Grail. This formula...is to die for. Though I love the huge colour range of Colourpop and the good price you get for those -they are far too drying. And though Lime Crime is still -begrudgingly, the best liquid lipstick, it is surrounded by far too much controversy for me to feel comfortable repurchasing it.
But Kat Von D??? Cruelty-free, fun, spunky and amaaaaazing on the lips. What's not to love? I got the colour cause it was the one everyone was talking about and I think I fell in love with it far more once I tried it on at home. I love that it's not too drying but it'll stay in place.

***Just for clarity, 5 lips = good price, 1 lip = bad price

Colour(s): Lolita, Lolita II, Double Dare (Just doing all these colours in one review since its pointless to make 3 of the same reviews separately.)

Overview: Apparently, you can eat, drink, make-up, break-up and mouth-off without this wearing off haha. It also includes natural moisturizing ingredients (Vitamin E, sunflower seed wax) so that it will feel comfortable on the lips.

Packaging: Comes in a very slim gloss-like tube. Also, the Gothic floral details are beautiful. Its a very unique packaging since other liquid lipsticks usually don't have designs on their packaging.

Scent: A more chemically version of a newly renovated house? It's very faint, but not unpleasant. You can only smell it if you stick your nose in the tube.

Texture: It's like a mousse. A creamy mousse, but its not thick once you spread it out.

On Lips: It applies very smoothly, with one coat delivering full color. Something odd I noticed was that it was VERY sticky when I first tried Lolita. I thought it would go away, but after 30 minutes, it didn't. So I blotted it and it was a little better. The odd thing was that the next day when I tried Double Dare, it was matte, with no stickiness. This caused me to question if these lipsticks are equally made, because usually, the textures of a line of liquid lipsticks are same in consistency and texture. The only differences are the colors and the color payoff. This is just a thought though; not a big deal.

Lasting Time: The lasting time is pretty impressive, as it lasted even when I ate my burger. It did fade a little around the inner part of my lips, but it wasn't noticeable. After around 7-8 hours of wearing this with eating and drinking included, I noticed that sometimes when it really faded, it was a little splotchy. It happened with Lolita, but not with Double Dare or Lolita II (maybe because those two are closer to my natural lip color, making it less noticeable.) But that only happens after a REALLY long day of wearing it.

Addition: It's really comfortable to wear, and it doesn't make your lips feel tight. In conclusion, I think that this product is amazing, has lots of different and unique colors and is pretty long wearing for the most part.

Thank you for taking your time to read this review! I really hope it was helpful. Feel free to comment on how I can improve on future reviews! Have a nice day :D
