I got this in a travel/sample size box from Influenster and fell in love with it. It smells like the beach (and tastes like it, when I've accidentally inhaled some of it - oops!). It helps separate my naturally wavy hair nicely. The reason I only gave it a 3/5 is because it isn't condition, which makes sense because of the sea salt, but I wish it conditioned it more. My hair always felt a little dry, even though it looked nice. I'm just a sticker for my hair looking AND feeling nice. I heard they've since come out with a cream one and I'll definitely have to try it out.

I really like this spray and for the price it can't be beat! I have semi thick hair with a wave in it..so I need to put product in it after the shower so it doesn't get frizzy. I just towel dry my hair and spray this product throught my hair and crunch it a bit which helps make it a bit more wavy. I love that it doesn't make my hair scrunchy or wet looking...it just helps hold a nice wavy trexture and keeps it from being frizzy. It is a bit drying so a leave in conditioner would work well as others have mentioned. I like this spray and I guess it just depends on the type of hair you have.

I'm on my second bottle of this stuff, so I guess you could say I like it. I have naturally slightly wavy hair, and I like to wear it sort of carefree and looking like I didn't try too hard, like that "model off duty" hair plastered all over fashion magazines. This product is the only thing that gets me close to that. After I get out of the shower, I spritz my hair all over with leave-in conditioner, maybe spread a little Organix Penetrating Argan OIl if my hair is feeling really dry or I want it to really shine, and then comb with a wide tooth comb, part, and do my makeup while my hair air dries a little. Then, I roughly blow dry my hair, mostly focusing on the front face-framing pieces and getting any excess moisture out. I then spray the beach spray liberally and lightly scrunch. Then I scrunch in Organix Surf Paste and Tresseme Tres Two Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray and call it a day. My hair looks carefree, beachy, and gorgeous all day and even the next day (I don't like to shampoo everyday). Highly recommend!

Love this stuff, but don't expect it to be a miracle product if you have straight hair. I have thick wavy/curly hair that's a little more on the wavy side because the length weighs it down. I use it with a leave in conditioner, in my experience any leave in will do. Put the leave in conditioner in, comb and part with a wide tooth comb, and then spray this stuff liberally all over. I flip my hair upside down and spray the under side and then scrunch. Works great air dried and blow dried with a diffuser. If I let it air dry when it's mostly dry I will flip my hair over an shake it out with my fingers and it is gorgeous. Haven't found anything that works better.

It didn't work. I already have wavy hair, and I thought this would accentuate the waves. Instead, it just coated my hair in gunk and didn't even make it wavier. Them smell is nice but that's pretty much the only thing I like about it.

Total crap product for me. This did NOTHING WHATSOEVER. I literally doused my hair with product, assuming that more would be better. nope. Felt like I was just putting water on my hair. I tried this for about a week and then dumped all the product out and kept the bottle. The bottle is great for storing/dispensing home-made brush spray. ;)

I HATE HATE HATE this stuff. Have I mentioned I hate this stuff? Ok so a little about my hair - stick straight, will wave if I put it in a bun when its damp or a braid... very long. a little above my butt. I had high hopes for this product to give my hair a little wave after a shower but instead it made my hair crunchy and feeling hard. It wasn't that this product didn't work, I'd say I was just more against how it made my hair feel. I could not put my finger through it or comb it. I guess it kind of was like being at the beach after getting out of the ocean.......

This is a great basic sea salt spray. I have long, thick hair with some wave to it. I've had this for a VERY long time because you only need a bit to achieve a tousled look. Oh it also smells like a beach in heaven. I'm mostly writing this review because I've seen this product at Urban Outfitters for around $9. I think I paid $5-6 at Walmart. Don't waste money, honey.

I've been looking for a good texturizing spray for my hair since it has gotten longer and since my Sunsilk one had been discontinued (way back when, lol). This is what I picked up, I'm a sucker for packaging and this one is a larger bottle and for the price, it rocks. The spritzer is perfect, not too heavy or light. It is full of salt so it does dry out the hair like ocean water would and it does texturize like a dream. I use this normally after the shower if I don't plan on blow-drying, curling, or straightening. I have normal to dry board-stiff hair that doesn't like to do too much of anything and this stuff kinks it up a little bit in a pretty, "care-free" way. The only thing I'm not fond of is the dryness I get but that's expected. I wouldn't use this with too much else, as it does leave a film on the hair. But otherwise, it's pretty much touch-and-go. I love this stuff. I found it at Walgreens for around $6, if I remember correctly. Adore it. And probably will repurchase when I run out.

I love this, but I recommend using a leave in conditioner with it, or some serum/oil. My hair does get filmy with this if I over do it, so it's best to be cheap with the amount you use. How I use this, is I spray and do a few scrunches, let it air dry for a good while, until it's dry. Braid my bangs, and curl a few areas with my 1/2 curling iron. When I used this the 2nd time, I did too much spray and agree it can make your hair feel dry. I also don't recommend using a blow dryer.

I really enjoy this if used right this really makes the hair have a great wave to it. I spray it into damp hair then use a diffuser to dry my hair and I style as I dry it does not leave the hair crunchy or weird feeling I use this on day two hair bye it's self then I use it with dry shampoo day three and sometimes I will use it on day four hair but that's only if I leave it down. I am on my second bottle of it and I am still loving it I am still debating if I want to try the bumble and bumble one or just stick with this one.

This is certainly not for my hair.
I have fine, wavy hair which is quite long so I don't wash it every day. I thought this might be a good idea to refresh the wave in my hair on non-shampoo days. It had the opposite effect. It actually made my hair straight and super dry. God bless whoever's hair this works for, but it sure wasn't mine.

Maybe this is a case of you get what you pay for... The price was certainly cheap enough at Walmart for a big spray bottle that probably gives you twice as much product as Bumble & Bumble. But that's where the positives end - it did nothing for my hair which already has some natural wave to it. It just felt like I sprayed some water on my locks and that was about it... not anywhere near what my hair looks like after a day on the beach - no volume, no texture - no results...period. It was worth a shot, but would never buy another bottle of this stuff.

I LOVE this stuff!! I have stick straight hair, and I can spray this in my dry (or even towel dried) hair and get pretty waves. waves!! from straight hair!!! you can't imagine the excitement... my hair does not hold a curl very well otherwise, so getting these sexy waves is wonderful!

I love this product! I have naturally wavy hair, but sometimes it falls flat in the back. This spray helps add some volume to it, but not a whole lot. Mostly, it helps my waves become more shapely. Even though this product is intended to be used by itself, I use hair gel too. I spray it into my wet hair (do NOT brush it! This will break up the waves!) and scrunch my hair to help distribute it. After letting it set for a few minutes, I put a little bit of gel in my hair. (I just use La Bella Lots of Curls, it's like $3). I have found using these two products together gives me perfect, beachy, voluminous hair!
It does make your hair feel a little dry, but it's salt water, that's unavoidable. It smells really nice, and the packaging is cute and makes it easy to use. As long as you used a conditioner, there shouldn't be any problems!

I LOVE this product!! I have tried to many sea salt sprays for my stick-straight hair, and this one was BY FAR the best. It adds lots if texture and some wave and just a few squirts. I have to say it works best on slightly damp hair though.

I love the packaging of this spray, and the name, it's very original. But, this didn't work for me, it left my hair feeling dry and it didn't define my curls. On the back of the product it says that it gives a lite matte finish, which might explain why my hair felt, as I already said, dry and shineless. So I guess it delivers on that aspect. On the other hand, it also said it adds sexy, tousled waves, which didn't happen. The good thing is that its not an expensive product, so at least I didn't pay a lot for this. Looking at the positive aspects of this product, I would say it smells nice, like coconut, and it applies easily. Personally though, I wouldn't recommend this product.

I've experienced the amazing effects of natural salt water after a day at the beach & wanted to try a salt spray but the products I've found in the past (like Bumble & Bumble) were way too expensive. I came across this at CVS for $5.99 & was super excited to try it & so far I am very satisfied with it!
It smells nice & the spray nozzle provides a fine mist that makes it easy to use. I use it on both wet & dry hair but prefer it on dry hair to add some volume & life to my hair. No build up or sticky residue, just great volume & textured curls that separate & spiral. Very beachy looking hair & best of all super affordable!!

I bought this on a whim. I don't know why, but I've been on a hair product binge... which is especially odd since I rarely use more than shampoo and conditioner. I picked this up along with 2 other NYM products and tested this one immediately on my long, thick, naturally wavy but not curly hair. I find it works best for me when applied to very wet hair and allowed to air dry. When I applied it to slightly damp or dry hair or followed with a blowdryer, I got out of control volume and frizz. The scent is amazing and I don't find it to be particularly drying. I use it less than once a week and like the trigger/spray design. I would repurchase.
