Wow, seriously, this is the exact same as the Mac gel eyeliner in Blacktrack. I've been using the Mac for years and it is no understatement when I say that this one is the exact same, except it doesn't seem to dry out as quickly as the Mac! This Maybelline gel eyeliner was $9 CND and the Mac gel eyeliner is $20, so there's quite a price difference and I have to say that I am absolutely thrilled to have found a cheaper alternative as I wear gel eyeliner pretty much daily. The staying power is the same as Mac, so great for about 5 or so hours and then it could start to fade a little bit, but I find it stays on better now that I use my Real Techniques eyeliner brush with it instead of the Mac angled brush. Anyway, I've also used the Rimmel gel eyeliner and if you're debating on getting that, the Mac, or the Maybelline, go for the Maybelline! It's the best of all three and it's a definite winner!

This is a really good product. If the Maybelline gel liner and the MAC are sitting next to each other you can see that the Maybelline is 100x more blacker than the MAC. The MAC comes across as a grey.
The price is amazing, the formular is creamy and easy to apply. I LOVE IT!

This eyeliner is amazing. Its the only eyeliner I use on my waterline, It stays on all day! I think it would definitely be comparable to a high end product.Ive re-purchased this product a few times and always end up going back to it as my everyday eyeliner, The price isnt bad for the quality and it literally lasts me a year!

I wanted to try a gel eye liner so I decided to pick this one up because it was relatively inexpensive. I'm so glad I did. This liner is very black and stays on all day without smudging. Its also fairly easy to apply. I'm terrible at using liquid eye liner and I find I can get a similar look with this gel one without all the frustration. I use either the Sonia Kashuk bent liner brush or the Ecotools liner brush to apply this to my top lash line and sometimes my tightline as well and it stays put.

I love this! Very natural looking(yet vibrant) black- a little goes a long way(you get bang for your buck), easy to work with creamy consistency, and very durable. Doesn't dry up on you after some time like the wet n' wild does.

This eyeliner sometimes clot in my eyes. Also, if I take it with a brush, sometimes too much, so make it neat when applied.

This is truly an amazing product! It's very pigmented, just the right texture, and stays on all day. It also comes with a decent brush which I've been using. And it's cheap. Basically, it has everything you want in a gel liner. If you're looking for a drugstore gel liner, this is definitely the one.

LOVE. This is my holy grail eyeliner + brow filler now. It's so versatile. Use the full strength to line your eyelids and make the perfect cateye, dabb off a little bit to fill in and lengthen your eyebrows, and use the remaining to smudge the corner of your bottom eyelids for that perfect, smokey-eye look.
I do find that I need to reapply it if I want the full pigmentation to stay there for the day, and I have a bad habit of always rubbing my eyes. But I'd take it over any waterproof liquid liner any day.

The only eyeliner I will ever purchase again! So they better not stop making it, haha. I love this eyeliner, it goes on so smooth and stays where you put it! It doesn't move... ever! Unless you wash your face that is... but we all do that (or we should)... it definelty is BLACK and stays black. A+ all around.

I'm a little surprised that I like this liner as much as I do-- I originally purchased it for Halloween makeup and just continued to wear it. The two main reasons are its texture and wear. The formula is quite creamy for a gel liner, making it easy to brush on with minimal skipping and it only takes about a minute to dry completely. Yes, it could be a little darker when I observe the swatch on my arm, but it appears to be a true, deep black from any distance once applied. Its wearability renders it unchanged from the time I apply it at 8 am to when I wash my face at 11 pm. It takes more than water to remove this stuff, so I use Pond's Cold Cream. However, even with the cold cream it is a huge pain to remove from in between lashes the one time I used it to tightline, and I shouldn't be scubbing my eyes that much daily. If I rub my finger back and forth over it repeatedly, my finger will have a grey tint, but that's about the extent of smudging.
99% of the time I immediately pitch any applicators that are packaged with a makeup product because I think they're useless, but I kept the brush with this one. The bristles have a lot of slip, which is fine for a product this creamy. The head is small and paddle-shaped that lets me graduate a thick line to a thin one in one swipe. I've found that gel liner packaging has been a nice, glass pot across the board and Maybelline is not an exception.
