Meh.... Despite the name "intensive" doesn't offer much in the way of moisture. Smells nice, though. Won't buy again

I think I finally found it, my HG shampoo! I have a LOT of very thick, wavy, coarse and somewhat frizzy hair. I also have extremely sensitive, acne-prone skin, and a dandruff-prone scalp. Lots of fun. I have tried almost everything- Aveda, Redkin, Biolage and lord knows what else, all the way down to V05 and Suave, and the best results I could get were ok, except for the Aveda smooth infusion which gave me amazing hair but broke me out. I've been using this shampoo and the matching conditioner for about a month, and I love it. It doesn't weigh my hair down but makes is soft and smooth, and doesn't break me out or give me dandruff. I do use a dandruff shampoo once a week and sometimes change up my shampoo-conditioner routine, because I find I get the best results that way, so I'm not sure what it would be like if I only used this and nothing else. I also really like the smell, I don't find it overpowering at all, and I get a really decent lather with this. When I tried it I was worried that it wouldn't get my hair clean because some other reviewers had said it didn't lather, but it lathers as well as most other shampoos, and I have hard water. For 6 bucks a bottle it's definitely the best shampoo purchase I've made in years.

This sulfate free shampoo is my HG. I find it very moisturizing for my fine, thin, long, chemically straightened hair that is washed every day.

Love everything about this shampoo: the smell, the suds, the fact that my scalp didn't feel squeaky clean or itchy at night, however, it took my color right off my hair, the water was running brown and when I checked in the mirror I noticed that my roots were brassy, I color my hair ash so taking care of that tone is a bit challenging when your hair wants to turn reddish/orangy color, it contains also cocamidopropyl betaine, I lost lots of hair in the shower.

Gosh if only I knew where to begin on this one. I love this product. I originally got it as a sample in the target beauty bag and I fell in love with it. I used the coupon provided to get a dollar off. It runs about 5 dollars where I live but it's worth it. It doesn't have a giant sudsy lather like other shampoos but it feels nice going through your hair and already begins to make your hair feel smoother before you even wash it out. The smell is like no ordinary shampoo... kind of reminds me of vanilla frosting. I'm sad to say I don't use the conditioner with it, I use "clear scalp therapy" which accompanies it greatly. I also mix and match my shampoo and conditioner combinations depending on the day... Ladies your hair will eventually get too used to what you do to it! Back to the review. I enjoyed this product thoroughly and will repurchase if they don't change the ingredients. My hair also dries nicely with it and it doesn't make my scalp itch all day like all the other shampoos on the market.

I've been using this shampoo with the the matching conditioner for a couple of weeks. So far I'm really impressed. My hair is really damaged and naturally dry so it frizzes out a lot. I've had nothing but good hair days since starting to use this shampoo. My hair is shiny and smooth but its still not weighed down. My hair is naturally wavy and this makes the waves more defined but still smooth. It's hard to describe, but it's my hair but better :) My hair even feels a lot healthier. The only other product that works this well is this $30 Aveda conditioner I bought last time I was in the salon. This works just as well for a whole lot less. I marked down the packaging quality since the top leaks when stood up just leave it on it's side and it hasn't leaked since.

I love the amount of foam you get in this sulfate free formula. This left my hair soft and moisturized, bouncy and shiny, I love it. I used the matching conditioner as well.

I'm SO glad that I took a chance and purchased this shampoo. It's totally awesome girls. It made my hair super soft and for the price, I immediately went out and bought 4 more bottles. I also purchased the condiioner and it was just as good. I normally don't buy drugstore brands, but I have to give Loreal an A+. Wonderful product!

Age: 19-24   Skin: Normal, Tan, Warm   Hair: Blond, Curly, Medium   Eyes: Brown

[This is my first review on here, and I'll start by saying I have fine/medium 3B ringlet curls that are bleached and ALWAYS dry (even before the bleach.) I use the curly-girl method.]

Used as a rinse-out, this is underwhelming. I agree with other reviews that said it left a coated, dry feel. However, using a quarter size amount as a *leave-in* after rinsing it out gives me silky-soft curls!
(Only two other conditioners have accomplished this - also as LIs: Eversleek Repair & Yes to Carrots Pampering Mud. Just in case other girls are struggling with their curls like I am.)

** I will keep a close eye on my hair for splits and breakage due to the mind-baffling amount of ispropyl alcohol (drying) in this!

Also, I HATE the smell of this, its cloying and heavy - but I don't like vanilla.
I think the Eversleek has better ingredients (despite the same alcohol content and a flowery-chemical scent) so I will probably alternate between the two for LIs.
It isn't the best for detangling, and makes me feel like my hair is tearing when I try, so I use a lot of water, my fingers, and go slow (Its the only conditioner I keep at my boyfriend's.)

I hope this helps someone!

I don't know why I had such a bad experience with this shampoo and conditioner. The cleansing conditioner worked perfectly for me, so I wanted to give this set a try. It made my hair feel extremely thin and stringy and I swear I had more breakage. The texture just felt weird. I returned them and will stick to the cleansing conditioner from now on.

Age: 19-24   Skin: Dry, Fair, Cool   Hair: Brunette, Curly, Coarse   Eyes: Other

Edit: After I worked my way through an entire bonus-size tube, my hair developed the unusual texture that other reviewers commented on. I noticed that the end of my braid was sticking up in all kinds of weird directions, and when I ran it under the faucet to get it wet, I still couldn't smooth it down! I don't know if this was because of the shampoo or the conditioner, but it felt like I put wax in my hair...I switched to a different shampoo and conditioner and noticed a huge difference in the feel of my hair within a few washes. For less than $2 more each, I can buy certain salon brand shampoo & conditioner at Ulta with the weekly $3.50 off a $10 purchase coupons.

I love this shampoo....it's so gentle on my course, curly hair. I like that it's sulfate free, paraben free, 100% vegan, and not tested on animals. The only thing that I don't like about the shampoo is that it's not quite as easy to spread as other shampoos; the formula stays thick even after you lather it up really well. The smell reminds me of the Cashmere line by Regis, which is nice, but it's probably not for everyone (it's very warm and sweet smelling). On a side note, the packaging is really nice - it's just a basic tube with a cap on the bottom, but the product doesn't stick to the sides if you store it standing up. Therefore, product won't be wasted by clinging to the bottle where you can't reach it. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out!

First of all, my haircare routine:
Shampoo, every other day, 1-2 shampoos depending on how gross my hair is (oily at tops, dry at bottom, always pin straight, dyed once a month for the past 3 years, fine but lots of it)
Conditioner, all kinds: coat mostly mid-lengths to tips, a bit on the top for color protection. Leave in for 2-5 minutes. Comb through to get rid of tangles.
Blow drying: I don't. Unless it is extremely cold outside or I am running late, I do not blow dry my hair. I air dry. If it's night time, I twist it up on top of my head after using a water wicking (http://www.goody.com/Home/Products/Styling%20Tools/QUIK%20STYLE%20Paddle%20Brush.aspx) brush and put on a beanie or loosely hairtye it. Gives me wave in the morning.
Organix coconut serum for my ends. I generally do not comb my hair in the AM, gives me texture since my hair is so flat.

Previous loved brands: Only sulfate-free shampoos. I use Sally Beauty ION Color defense shampoo. I cyle between different conditioners: HG= Herbal Essences conditioner, pink and orange tube, from inside of the old pink hair dye boxes. Discontinued but fantastic. Have never had smoother, conditioned, lightweight, better smelling hair than when I use this.
HG= Herbal Essences Rosemary Jasmine conditioner (also discontinued, old kind, green bottle, old logo). Current: Switch between Herbal Essences conditioners- Hello Hydration and Color me Happy. Also occasionally I will use 'cholesterol' conditioner- the $2 tub in the ethnic hair section at Walmart- does a good job for being tangle-free.
Organix is okay, but just too pricey. I do plan on getting the Moroccan or Brazilian for smell and color protection. Only when there's a sale though.

I just got a sample pack of conditioner and shampoo from the last Target Beauty Bag. I just used it last night. Here are my impressions:

Scent: Out of this world. Best. Like vanilla/honey bliss.
Sudsing: I wasn't too impressed. Normal shampoo to me. Sample packets had really small amounts, but it seems to do the same amount of work that my normal 3 pumps do.
Cleanliness: My hair feels pretty good! Given I didn't blowdry, I can't tell you a comparison of how much volume I had vs. other products. Feels light at the ends, feels not tangled.
Moisture: Top of my head is heavier, so the running-fingers through hair tactic probably won't work to my benefit. No frizz. Ends seem alright but could still use a boost.
Packaging: Only had sample size, so I can't rate honestly.
Toxicity/danger ingredients: Website for that is down, so I can't really check the chemicals in the hair product. Looks like there are quite a few naturals though.

Using my haircare methods, my head smells fantastic today, and it has about the average tangle. Nothing can ever top the conditioning aspects of my pink+orange HG. But, with how great this smells and how well it is doing, it sure is coming close.

Originally, I had tried the EverPure and EverSmooth and hated the minty/cedar smell, plus was put off by the "sulfate free" yet having 'sulfocsuccinate'. It irritated me. However, I've found most conditioners now to be safe from sulfates and parabens, so I get whatever conditioner suits my fancy. In this regard, I will be buying this conditioner if not just for the smell.

I think this a good product, just not for me. I have very oily hair but I bought this anyway because I thought 'the more nourishing the better'. It turned out that this is not true. I found this shampoo to be very mild and nourishing. After washing my hair with this, it feels as if I've also conditioned it. At first I kept rinsing my hair because it felt as if there was still conditioner in it, but it turned out that's just how this shampoo makes my hair feel. If I had dry hair (what this product is targeted for) that would be great. But I find it's just too rich for my oily hair. It'll get greasy a lot faster. So I won't buy this again. But I'm not going to rate it down because it didn't work for me, since it's not targeted for my hair type & I knew that. I think it's great that it is sulfate & cone free and I think it would be great for people with dry hair. But I wouldn't recommend it to people with oily hair. If my hair ever gets dry though, I will buy this again. For now I will just use this on lazy days when I want to give my hair a break. I absolutely love the conditioner of this line though, even with my hairtype. I'll just use a different shampoo with it.

This shampoo is awesome! The Evercreme line is the best I have ever used! This line far surpasses all the salon brands I have tried in the past for a fraction of the price! I have a lot of fine, dry relaxed hair and this moisturizes my hair perfectly! Makes my hair so smooth, shiny and incredibly soft to the touch. This is great for ethnic hair and the smell is amazing. It smells like warm vanilla sugar from b&bw with a touch of buttercream frosting to me. I will definitely repurchase.

yeah this leaves my hair a crispy mess. my stylist was shocked at my ends and as soon as he used a quality shampoo on my hair, the problem was fixed. he told me to throw this crap away! so far i've been incredibly unimpressed with l'oreal evercreme line - absolutely no delivery on its promises. for reference, my hair is thick, course, and generally dry

Although this product is sulfate free, it is not good if you have brunette color in your hair. It will clean the color right out of your hair. Granted I have dye resistant hair, and I like to wash my hair frequently and so that is part of my problem.

Right now, after using this shampoo for a month, the front of my hair is very brassy/coppery (instead of brown) and dry looking so I don't really think this shampoo is particularly moisturizing.

I would say that this shampoo and the matching conditioner do live up to their statement of not weighing hair down but I don't think I will be using this shampoo except at the tail end of my color cycle, like right before I color it again.

I like the smell but it is very strong and you will smell it around your face after you blow your hair out.

Impressive! I feel like I'm conditioning my hair while cleansing at the same time, and there's no noticeable residue left from it. And more importantly, no SLS or 'cones! Used with the Eversleek Reparative conditioner, I have tons of slip/shine.

I heard great things about the EverCreme Mask, but the praise stops there.
I have medium length bleach blonde hair.

I can never tell if my hair is clean with this stuff. I always end up shampooing twice, and then my hair is really stripped.

The smell is good, but I'd rather have a shampoo that smells like crap but cleans my hair than one that smells like vanilla cupcakes and leaves my hair oily

I love this shampoo! I found a great deal on Amazon, and this was my first time trying it, although I did try the other sulfate-free L'Oreal products. I need to be using them more often, with all the coloring/heat styling my hair goes through. First off, this smells amazing! And the funny thing is, I actually forgot to use conditioner after I used this(which I never do!) and my hair still turned out great. It made it smoother, and felt fresh and light. My hair is fine and can get slightly frizzy, but this allowed me to smooth it out, and style it with ease. And it left that fabulous scent too, always a plus. You should try this shampoo, because "you're worth it!" :-)

I Frickin love this shampoo. To start off, I have thick hair. I live In Hawaii so there's sooo much heat and my hair is pretty much fried (plus the fact that I love to color my hair). Heard great things about this shampoo and I am not disappointed!

I don't care for the smell. It's like a sweet, musky vanilla/cake batter/burnt sugar scent that lingers in your hair After you wash it. But the results are Frickin amazing. Whether I towel dry my hair or blow dry it, it feels soft and looks silky. This product doesn't weigh down my hair and gives it a nice shine. I use this in conjunction with the matching conditioner. Def would repurchase!
