Impulsive is a fairly unique color. It's a dark smoky purple; definitely has some gray in there. For me, it wasn't as pretty on the nails as it is in the bottle. The bottle color is more purple, but on the nails, it's a little more muddy.
It's certainly not ugly, but I personally prefer more saturated colors, so I probably won't buy it again.

There was a Revlon sale and this medium-dark purple creme caught my eye. I don't normally buy Revlon polishes (and the bottles are pretty ugly), but I've come to realize that they've got several great colors at a reasonable price (especially on sale) that are worth trying out. The formula on Impulsive is smooth, maybe a little runny, but really easy to work with. The color is opaque in two coats. It's glossy without a top coat, though I almost always end up using a quick-dry one anyway. I can't really comment on lasting power since I change my nail color so often. It's gorgeous�professional, but incredibly fun, fresh, and funky at the same time�and I'd recommend it!

Gorgeous medium purple color. Formula was alright, not too runny nor too goopy. Wouldn't repurchase because....
- this isn't a color I normally would grab for. I am in love with revlon's plum seduction (bright fuschia color)
- lasting power sucks. I had tip wear/chips within 2 days. I use OPI's top coat and I've never had a problem using this with other revlon polishes.

I like this polish a lot!
It is a nice muted medium-dark purple. It is opaque in two thin coats. I love this shade of purple a lot. It wears pretty well, but i did have minimal chipping within two days. The reason this polish lost one star is because, the formula is a tiny bit watery for $6.49
I would for sure buy this product again! :)

I love this nail polish! It's the perfect purple that I was looking for. Looks very close on to what it looks like in the bottle, maybe a touch darker. It has very good staying power and an excellent formula, easy to apply, and was opaque in 2 coats. I'd put this right on par with other salon brands that I have many of. I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength nail hardener for my base and the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat (red bottle). I will (and already have lol) be buying more Revlon polishes.

I have to admit I very rarely purchase revlon nail polishes, not because I don't like the colors or the formula I think its the packaging which I find to look pretty dated, like something from the 80s, I wish they'd redo the packaging as they are serving a different generation. However with that said, I LOVE the formula of these, I don't know if they redid it slightly or what but I promise I can't remember any of these lasting as long or having the color payoff, or having the quick dry time as the new colors that came out this yr (2012). This color is btw a creamy almost dusky looking medium purple that is amazing with my skin tone this is the first color that I've purchased ever that hasn't chipped for about 5 days, the color was amazing, I only needed two coats and to be honest it was opaque in one, just for uniformity i put on the second. For reference I use Orly Nail Armor as a base and Seche Vite as a top coat.
