It looks so beautiful in the bottle. But on my nails it was kinda too brown.

Beautiful vampy red. It applies fine for me, but it is thin and I do have to do some clean up around my cuticles. I use 2 coats with Seche Vite over it and I can go a couple of days without any chips. I love this colour for winter.

I adore creme or jelly finishes for nail polish and this one is the most beautiful deep crimson jelly shade.

I agree that it was quite a pain to apply. Took my normal 2 coats but it was very liquidy and flooded my nailbeds quickly.

Finish is extremely glossy even without a top coat. Beautiful color for fall/winter.

Beautiful deep burgundy red colour. It takes 3 coats to get it looking even and not streaky, but it's worth it for the gorgeous colour!

I'd been searching for the perfect vampy creme, and had overlooked this, and got it last-minute on clearance. I am so glad I did, because I absolutely love it. Perfect after two coats, always a dried blood red, never black, and my friend complimented its "shininess". Application was fine for me.

Very disappointing. I gave it one lippie because the color is gorgeous but the formula is awful. It's an unfortunate combination of watery and extremely pigmented. That makes cleanup inevitable, yet impossible. It flooded my cuticles and stayed there, leaving a pinkish tinge around my nails after I tried clean up with my elf concealer brush & acetone. It like a little kid's Kool-Aid mustache. I had to take it off, and try to "scrub" it out of the cuticle area. Now my cuticles are dry, sore, and still stained. Usually I adore China Glaze, and my top ten list has many ChG products on it but this is a LOSER. Even if you see it on clearance, pass!

Sigh. Every time I think I've found my favorite red, another comes along. Except this I think is really it. So wearable, so classic. Not jarring, not vampy, just deep rich and beautiful. A winter color for sure. I also love the formula, pigmented but not too thick.

Velvet Bow is part of China Glaze's Let It Snow Collection. It's a deep brown/burgundy toned red color. It reminds me of Essie's Wicked, but creme instead of Jelly. Velvet Bow would definitely fall under the Vampy category. It's a perfect winter color, and a great variation of the average dark blood red.

The formula is B3F and highly pigmented (base coat is a must). The consistency is on the watery side, so it's a little messy. After 2 coats the polish is opaque, and looks stunning. It lasts around 4 days without chipping and tip wear starts around day 3.
