Nope. It's a beautiful color BUT it takes three coats to make it opaque, it chips in huge giant chunks ( because of the glitter) and it takes practically a whole bottle of pure acetone to get it off ( also because of the glitter ). I even had to buff some of the glitter off because the acetone wouldn't take it off. I love the color but it's just not worth it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and call this nail polish color of the year. I usually don't wear black nail polish. However, this is done in such a classy way it's hard to resist. This is beautiful inky black with very fine glitter particles. It doesn't look childish because the glitter isn't chunky. For some reason, this polish reminds me of the sidewalk, at Time square at night, It just does. It also becomes opaque by the second coat.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It's quickly becoming a staple for me.

I love black nail polish but sometimes I feel like doesn't look quite right on me.However, this polish I love every time I put on. I'm surprised I fell in love with this since I don't like using glitter polishes too often.

The only con I can think of is that it's a bit sheer and I need to apply 2-3 coats for the look I want. Maybe using a black base beforehand will solve that?

Right off the bat I started off with a thin coat of china glaze liquid leather over my base coat. It was not an opaque coat but just enough to give a black background but preserve the jelly-like quality I love about this polish. I followed this by two coats, not too thick not too thin of m4l. I the twist this adds to the look of your basic black polish. However for the price, I don't feel that this is that unique. I'd be just as happy layering black polish with silver glitter.

Most of my wardrobe is black so when I saw Nicki Minaj's OPI collection, I wasn't really crazy about it. I love her but I'm not really into the bright greens and hot pinks...
Metallic 4 Life was the only color that I was interested in. Its black with silver sparkly glitter. I think the color is very pretty, it looks nice when going out at night but still isn't too crazy to wear to the office.
I'm only giving it a score of 3 because the polish chips within 1 day of wearing. I used a base coat & an OPI top coat and the polish still chips very quickly.
In order to get the color to look the way that it should, you need to apply 3 coats. This may contribute to the fast chipping.
--Tip: I found that if I paint my nails with a black polish first, I can just use 1 or two coats of Metallic 4 Life over the black and it chips less. Overall, its a beautiful polish but I expected better staying power and less chipping.

This is a gorgeous polish from the Nicki Minaj collection. It's a dark silver/gray with big chunks of silver glitter.
This had great application for a glitter polish. I only did two coats and it dried quite fast. I find most glitters are very thin and it's hard to get much glitter on the nail, but I had no such problem with this one.
My only negative thing to say about this polish is the lasting power. Like most glitters, it chips fairly easily. That being said, use a good top coat and base coat and you should be fine. It's still totally worth it.
Definitely my favourite polish from this collection!

Love this color, great for summer or winter!
The polish is gel based, which is good because it allows the silver glitter to shine through even the second coat of polish.

Because this is a gel polish the black is going to be a little see-thru ... but that's what makes the polish unique.

Funny though how this nail polish makes me think more of Jessie J's style

Only comment i have to make about the quality is that it chips easily, but is difficult to remove.

My nails are soooo sparkly they look like disco balls!! Love it.
My only issue is the sparkles don't give it a smooth finish so it requires multiple top coats.
But it's highly complimented :)

this was the only color i wanted from the nicki minaj collection. i am in love with it! it is a very thick/goopy application imo, but the end result is an amazing glitter finish. three coats gave me nice, opaque coverage. i feel like my nails have been bedazzled lol.. i get a lot of questions/compliments about this color. i'll definitely be buying a backup of this :)

One of my favourites from the Nicki Minaj line at OPI! It is a black coloured base, instead of clear like the Muppets glitters, with millions of silver, holographic glitters inside. After two coats, the polish is completely opaque and it stays like this for days and days because of the superb staying power! It's a little thick when applying, but after the second coat it is perfect.

Edit : took away a lipstick (3-1) coz it started chipping within a day... And almost peeling off completely on some fingers.

Kinda clumpy to apply on, formula's a little thick? Still looks fine coz it's glitter polish.

Dries fast, and after two coats + top coat, the colour/sparkle is amazing. Just like the bottle.

Okay, so I love the color of this nail polish. It use two coats and its the perfect look. But, it seems to just pop off my nails. I used a top coat and every time I did anything, it just came right off my nails, fully. So I thought it was the top coat and tried without one, and again as my day went on I realized I had bare nails. I really want to love this polish because I love the color and it dries really fast, but it will not stay on my nails!

Metallic 4 Life is another Nicki Minaj Collection 2012. This one is a black, watery based polish with tons of silver big and small glitters on top. It's different from the Muppets glitters collection as it has color base rather than clear based that it brings out the beauty of the combination of black and silver glitters.
The application on the contrary is tricky. It needs to apply with thick coat each time to make the polish look solid on nails. I used two coats and they look perfect. However, the finish comes out more like charcoal and silver glitters than black and silver glitters. Really lovely. Love such a color in spring/summer. I guess you can also wear it in winter too.
Taking off needs lots of patients though. Can't use normal polish remover. Acetone, unfortunately, is the one to take off. But surprisingly it's quite easy to do so. I make sure I wash my hands and put some cuticle oil to hydrate the nails afterwards. I'll get this color again.

Pros:
1. It's BEAUTIFUL. Once I applied it to my nails, I literally sat in my seat for 10 minutes shifting my hand back and forth just to catch all the awesome holo action.
2. Great brush and the formula is not too thick or too runny.
3. Good dry time, I was ready to put a top coat on after a couple minutes.

Cons:
1. It's pretty chunky, I had to apply two coats of OPI top coat to smooth my nails out.
2. One coat is (IMHO) not enough sparkle, you'll have to do two.

I was really excited for this polish to come out but sadly I am disappointed. Its a soft black base with small and medium sized silver glitter throughout. Definitely needed two coats to get the color in the bottle and went on quite nicely. As with all OPI nail polishes the brush is great and the formula is awesome (didn't bubble up with multiple coats). It's a very fun manicure and I can see it being great as a pedicure too if you like dark colors on your toes.

I have a lot of OPI nail polishes but this one chipped fast. I did the OPI Base Coat and Seche Vite Top Coat (like I always do) and it started to chip everywhere by day two. I'm guessing the chunky glitter may have had something to do with it (but I've used chunky glitter OPI nail polishes before and didn't have that problem). I also feel like I could have put together a black and silver glitter polish to get the same effect as this one so its not overly unique for me.

I can see myself wearing this from time to time but I don't see me finishing the bottle anytime soon. I don't think I will be repurchasing this particular OPI nail polish.

This polish recently came out, and is part of OPI's collaboration with Nicki Minaj. I would describe it as silver glitter and medium sized hexagonal glitter mixed with a charcoal/light black base.

The first coat is definitely not enough as the black base gets really streaky and is not opaque enough. A second coat is good enough, but I went with a third to make it extra black and extra glittery. Each layer is relatively thick and so it's probably best to wait at least a couple of minutes before applying the next layer. Even though the texture of this polish is thicker, 3 coats isn't over the top. However, it does get sloppy when applying so the best method (for me) was to clean the edges/finger tips with a q-tip with nail polish remover.

As for the longevity, it's okay. It's been 3 days now and there hasn't been any flaking/chipping (I did apply OPI topcoat on top).
This polish is definitely something more special because the glitters show up and really sparkle even from far away. I'd definitely wear this for the holidays or for going out, probably not best for the office.

I got this at a local hair salon for $8.95 but most places sell this for $9.99 if not more. I would not re-purchase as I'll never use up a bottle. But other than that, I really like this polish - it's sparkly and different!
