I absolutely love this mascara. It gives so much length, and also volume (sure you have to work at it). But the end result is long, volumised beautiful lashes.

This product works really well if you know and have the right technique. Only apply one coat for best results. It sucks for volume so I don't recommend it unless all you want is length.

I have long, black lashes naturally but I use mascara for a more dramatic look & so my lashes will stand out over my black liner. I love this stuff! I got this in blackest black as I do all my mascara. This mascara separates my lashes nicely and makes my lashes dramatically longer. Works great on bottom lashes as well. As far as the extension part of this goes, they are tiny little fibers that adhere to your lashes. Do not let dry between coats or do more than two coats period. It seems to makes lashes stick together otherwise. I got this at Wal-Mart in a value pack with the Line Express eyeliner for $10. Heck of a value if you ask me! I will probably purchase again eventually but for now I'm mascara poor!

Doesn't work as promised. Not much length considering it has the "extensions". Don't waste your money. I find that Maybelline's Define a Lash adds more length than this. Packaging/tube is very cheaply made as well.

Surprisingly, this mascara didn't add any kind of length to my eyelashes at all, strangely enough. This mascara was excellent for separation however! Downside is that the fibers from the mascara would fall into my eyes throughout the day, which is annoying and painful. as contact lens wearer, so this is a huge no-no. It's also not very buildable at all.

Not bad. Lengthens and adds fullness.

This mascara was not what I was hoping it to be. I have voluminous lashes but they are very short and I was hoping this mascara would add length.
Well, it did add some length.. but at a cost. This mascara is so clumpy, no matter how little I have on the brush and how much time I take to apply it properly, it always clumps. And on top of that, it makes my eyelashes feel so brittle and hard. Every night when I would try and remove it, it would take some of my lashes with it.
And don't even bother trying to apply more than one coat. It gives that "spidery" look.
If I just ran the brush over my lashes literally once, it looked ok.. but that's about it. And the price was $18 Australian. So, so not worth the money.
Maybelline mascaras are hit and miss for me, and this one was a definite miss. I think I'm gonna stick to Full n Soft- it doesn't add as much length, but it looks far more natural and feminine.

After learning that the Fairy Drops Scandal Queen mascara was being discontinued from Sephora stores, I ventured to my local drugstore and saw this fiber mascara and opted to test it out. I have naturally straight stick and short lashes so I really wanted a mascara that could lengthen and hold my curls throughout the day. Illegal length served that purpose for me. After curling my lashes with Tarte's curler, I applied two coats of this from root to tip and it has held my curls better than any non-waterproof mascara I have tried before. The fibers also did lengthen my lashes an adequate amount that I feel like my lashes are a decent length. I don't think it's the best mascara ever made, but I'm satisfied with this purchase.

This mascara is so bad. It doesn't lengthen as promised. But mixing this with another mascara makes the result better. But just not worth the money.

I pare this with a volumizing mascara and it gives me the length I'm looking for. Don't care for this on it's own, it's clumpy and is alittle to hard to manage after the first coat.

I love this mascara. I was originally looking for a really cheap one to use in te mean time since my favourite high end one wasn't instock. And let me say, wow! I am amazed!! This mascara gives me amazing length, holds a curl and give decent volume! Even better than my high end mascara. It's cheaper and more effective. Two coats and I have amazing skyscraper lashes. If I want a little more natural look I just put a primer underneath and do one coat. Of all mascara a I've used, I love this the most. The brush is on the long side but for some reason I like it. The packaging is super cute with pink writing on a silver tube. It's been over a month and hasn't dried out at all. I shall repurchase instead of Lancôme definicils. This stuff is waaaay better!

I recently had an eye infection meaning the mascara that I originally used had to go, this meant I had the opportunity to find a new favourite. My eyelashes both top and bottom are naturally full and averagely long so for me my perfect mascara would be one that separates my lashes evenly and gives that extra length. The illegal length mascara does just this, the price is a push compared to some other mascara and the packaging is pretty basic but overall the effect it gives my lashes is great IF, your lashes are full to begin with and you don't layer it, the key I found was that if you clump your mascara on then it will give a wet gloppy look this is why you need full lashes because then it only takes one coat to give the false effect without overdoing it so for me it's perfect in that sense. My only con is the fibre bush I have never used a mascara that had this fibre extension brush(not that I know off)and its not something I would recommend, to me it's just straw like and fibres fall off so if anything I would change the brush but I suppose that's the whole point.

I love love love this mascara. Two coats of this stuff makes it look like I'm wearing falsies, and I've never said that about any other mascara, and I've tried just about every brand that exists. The brush is really different than normal brushes, and it got the little lashes at the outer corners of my eyes without getting on my skin.

Love this one for the length but I top it with a volume mascarra after because it only works for length an does not work well with layering.
I recommend if you use a volume masscara to use this prior but while still wet, so it doesn't clump

I like this mascara, but I don't love it. It does add length and is affordable. I always layer this with a volumizing mascara (I like Covergirl Lashblast, Maybelline The Rocket, and Benefit Badgal), as it adds length only. I'd recommend it for someone who's looking for a mascara that lengthens only.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Normal, Olive, Neutral Hair: Blond, Straight, Medium Eyes: Brown
I love this mascara and won't but anything else! OK so the packaging is pretty average,, but as this is a fairly cheap product it certainly looks absolutely fine. The wand itself is a good length and the brush head is fibres rather than those spikey combs you so often see these days (which I don't like).
It goes on really smoothly and easily, and gives great length without that horrible messy spider legs effect you often see. Also it really doesn't clump if you layer it. I've compared this to other mascaras from major brands including Benefit and it definitely offers more length than the rest of these. It's definitely better at delivering length than it is volume, but if your lashes are normal/average thickness then you'll still find this mascara plumps them nicely.

I really wanted to like this but I'm not sure why I bought it in the first place as I really don't get on with Maybelline mascaras. That said, I like fibre mascaras and was on the lookout for a cheapish, 'drugstore' option. I have the waterproof version.
Firstly, the packaging. It's ok. Functional but very plasticky and quite cheap looking.
The look? I was expecting length from this (packaging promises up to 4mm extra) but no additional volume really. I was right on the volume but length? Not a bit. My lashes on the 'done' eye looked no different to the ones on the side I hadn't done. Pointless.
The price? At £8.99 it's expensive for a product that does nothing.
I bought the YSL volume false lash effect mascara at the same time and it is so much better. Yes, it is twice the price but there is no competition. Gorgeous, lush, separated, longer and thicker lashes. The additional length from the YSL surprised me. I was expecting the Maybelline to deliver more impressively than the YSL in that area but no dice.
So, in short, I really dislike this product. A waste of money that failed to get anywhere close to the promises made or even the performance of ANY basic mascara.

This mascara was too wet for my liking. It made my eyelashes have the spidery effect, and like other reviewers said, there is no volume given.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Oily, Fair Hair: Blond Eyes: Grey
I wrrote a positive review about this before but I have totally changed my mind. This mascara is not good. After just a few weeks it dries out causing the mascara to fall off my lashes. It doesn't do anything for curling either, I have long lashes naturally but need to curl them otherwise they just stand straight out. This mascara sucks.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Sensitive, Fair-Medium Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue
This mascara flakes off in a matter of hours.
