This is completely and utterly my favourite mascara - I bought it originally because it's hard to find a decent brown mascara (cannot stand black on me). I didn't have much in the way of expectations, but it's wonderful.
I've tried them all, having average lashes and always looking for a combination of added volume AND length. From drugstore brands to high end, nothing was really great (always looked thick, gloopy, ran, flaked, whatever) so l was still looking when I came across the d&g one.
It goes on without clumping, doesn't flake, run or make my lashes stiff, and my lashes look thicker and longer. AND I also don't have to spend time scraping the brush against the rim of the tube to get rid of all the extra mascara before applying it.
Can't recommend it highly enough. Love it.

First of all the packaging looks gorgeous right! but of course gets dirty boo but which product doesn't?
but I quiet like this mascara I have kind of a hate/love relationship with it due to:
Bad points:
- the packaging and brush, the brush gets loads of clumps of mascara on it.
-fragrance
- if you don't like spider sticking out lashes definitely a no for you!
- expensive
- not in many stores!
good points:
- the mascara is a decent mascara some times as it works fine sometimes
and other times it can be completely rubbish
I'd say give it a miss.

I'm surprised there are no reviews for this product. D&G released this mascara several months ago (I want to say around spring/summer 2011), and, from the Dolce & Gabbana website, is marketed as:
"Dolce&Gabbana created Secret Eyes, as the perfect complement to the collection's iconic Volumized Lashes. With a wand that is specially conceived to separate and lightly coat each lash, Secret Eyes increases length dramatically while accentuating each lash definitively, creating sensually feminine and natural flirty looks. Secret Eyes lengthens, defines and transforms lashes with delicacy and precision. Each individual lash, including fine corner lashes, is separated, defined and lightly coated with exacting precision."
It also gives application tips from Pat McGrath:
"Roll the brush from root to tip of the lashes when creating a daytime look or layer up the mascara for a dramatic night time look and create a 'diva eye'. Turn the cap around three times when applying the mascara and you'll find that the formula spreads for heavier, fanned lashes."
Packaging-wise, it comes in a gold-tone plastic tube. The brush is cylindrical and has rows of fine, thin plastic bristles. For this reason, the "rolling" methodology described above works best for application, although I have used the "zig-zag" method to build up volume, and have not experienced any clumping.
I would say, if you are used to a heavier mascara look (ie. DiorShow, Chanel Inimitable Intense), Secret Eyes will take some adjusting to. One coat of Secret Eyes just defines the lashes and flutters them out a little bit. If you have sparse, short lashes like I do, you wouldn't even notice that you had mascara on.
With each coat, there is a little more drama, but definitely nothing over-the-top. Secret Eyes can be built up in layers with no clumping whatsoever, and there is more of a lengthening effect rather than volumizing. It looks very polished and pretty. and the lashes are coated evenly.
I sometimes use this mascara in conjunction with my Paul & Joe mascara base. Because the P&J base adds a good amount of volume and also curls the lashes, layering Secret Eyes on top really gives that va-va-voom effect which is great for the evening or with a smokier eye.
This retails for about $29, and is available in both a Black and a Brown. (For myself, I prefer the black.) Overall, I am pleased with this mascara and would repurchase again. The only reason I did not give it a 5 rating is because it does take some time to build the lash effect that I want, and my personal morning routing doesn't allow for that.
