I am in complete and total unbridled, can't-live-without-this, oh-my-goodness-are-you-kidding-me love. This lipstick (in Alabama) is everything I wanted MAC Viva Glam I to be. (VGI was terribly dry, patchy, and faded and feathered so badly within an hour that it was returned the next day.)
The color stays so true for hours and hours without fading or feathering. I use a lip liner to aid in that, but even without it, it holds up beautifully. Even after eating lunch, I find that I only have to dab a little on the center of my bottom lip to reapply, happily ignoring the rest of my lips' surface, which stays saturated in color.
My lips do not get dry while wearing this. I'm pretty stringent in my lip care routine and rules, so they are properly prepped ahead of time, but some mattes will still destroy my lips within just a couple hours. Not this. The surprising amount of creaminess in this lipstick keeps my lips soft and plump.
The packaging is a little cheap-looking because it has far too much printed on it, and unless you lower it all the way down until it snaps, it will swivel in the tube and mash itself up against the inside of the cap. No bueno. But as long as I conscientiously snap it down, it's a non-issue. So far, I haven't forgotten to do so, but I'm sure that'll change and then I'll cry. Work on the packaging, NYX, to make it less wonky and more attractive. Then this product will be a ten. Or a five, by MUA standards...
Anyway, this lipstick is a super duper awesome win. LOVE.

I've been wanting to try a bold red lip but have it matte so when I came across this product I had to snatch it up. I fell in love with this lipstick! It has great pigmentation and it goes on so easily. The wear is pretty impressive too, especially if you apply a lip liner underneath. The only thing I didn't love was the packaging. It's cool that it has a see through bit in the middle, but the tube swivels so much on its own I'm afraid I'll open it and my lipstick will be smashed. Other than that, I definitely recommend buying this.

Selected shades: hippie chic (pastel peachy pink), pale pink (baby pink), summer breeze (barbie pink)
- long wearing
Comments: These are very drying, as expected. I love the color range, though. They're pigmented and wear well. My favorite is Summer Breeze.

I love nyx matte lipstick serial number 12 MLS. I think the colour is result from mixture between nude and red colour. So the colour is not too pale but not too bright. The negative side of this lipstick is that it's moistureless for my lips, I think black label series has better moisturizer.

I can't speak for every color in this line, but stay away from Pale Pink! I hate the formula of that color. It's EXTREMELY dry, it's so dry that it's hard for me to even put it on my entire lips without feeling like I'm creating more wrinkles on them. The color is also really patchy and splotchy and looks very cakey - not good at all. It is very pigmented but with it being so drying and hard to work with, I never use it. I also hate how it accentuates the lines on your lips. I have tried this with heavy lip balm underneath and another color and I think maybe it would work better mixed with another color but by itself I hate it.

I bought Pale Pink first off the shde makes my lips look dead but if I sheer it out its not so bad. I really like the formula. It didn't find it drying at all and it had some slip to it. Overall I like it but I bought the wrong colour.

Bought this in "Alabama." It's a beautiful red with my fair skin and brunette hair (with red lowlights). The texture is great and staying power -- no complaints.
I'm always happy with NYX lip products. Great colors and finishes, and so inexpensive! Just wish the entire line was carried in a brick-and-mortar store.

I own all colors of this lipstick line and really like them. I'm in my 40's and find anything with shimmer does not woke on my lips. So I mostly stick to cream and mattes now. I have mattes in many brands including Wet & Wild, Revlon, Maybelline, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Inglot, etc. These NYX lipsticks are by far my favorite mattes and are nearly the cheapest. My favorite nude colors in this brand are Tea Rose and Caviar.

The only color I have so far is "pale pink" ... super pigmented lip stick, totally matte.. DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE DRY LIPS. As you know, matte lipsticks can make your lips look diseased.. well if you have dry lips, or will not moisturize them then I definitely don't recommend this product to you. However, put a lipgloss over & you'll be good to go!
My everyday lip routine consists of Rimme's Exaggerate lip liner which I line & use as allover color, NYX's matte lipstick & one of NYX's Mega Shine Lipgloss's & my lips are good to go for hours! I know you're probably saying the lipgloss defeats the purpose of matte, well it does for a while, but once the shiny-ness of the lipgloss wears off, them matte comes through & doesn't look dry & cakey.
In case you're wondering, this color pairs fantiastic with NYX's Mega Shine Lipgloss in "Salsa"

I've long since wanted to try NYX matte lipstick eversince I've heard of it in videos. As it is an imported product, i didn't rate the price as being cheap. For me (in the Philippines), they are about average in cost.
I got my first lipstick in NUDE. I was expecting a light brown to peachy tone color--- I should have searched for more reviews with pictures. Being morena or having darker complexion, it doesn't suit me at all, but I can easily see how it will look great on fair to light skin tones.
As it is so pink, i can't use it alone and maybe has to top it off with another shade, maybe with a gloss of darker shade.
Quantity-wise- i think there is lesser amount of lipstick as compared to other brands, but then again it is cheaper so i guess you can expect that.
Packaging- its not the best i've seen, and i prefer the packaging for black label over this one.
I will buy the product again, and i will choose a more suitable shade this time. And see how long-lasting it will be.

I have the Perfect Red shade. I'm so in LOVE with this lipstick! It's so pigmented, and stay perfectly on my lips for a long time. And the color is so perfect, the texture is well creamy, not make my lips dry (I wasn't wearing lipgloss on top). Oh and it doesn't smell anything. I have a plan for buying another shade of this line! So addictive :D

i totally love this lipstick. It looks really good on my lips. I bought the indie flick and tea rose.Even though it is matte, it is creamy, not drying at all.. Well its perfect. And it doesnt have a weird smell. Well i'd totally buy a lot more. And its cheap. LOVE IT!

I have the NUDE (MLS01) color and I LOVE IT. It the perfect cross between nude and pink. I use it with a black smokey eye on a night out and it looks stunning. I used to use MAC's myth with a pink lipliner but this is much faster and easier. I can't wait to try out more colors. Seriously buy the color NUDE!!!!!!

Finally found my HG red lipstick. NYX matte lipstick in Pure Red is everything I've been looking for. Looks really good against my NC30-35 skin , lasts well, cheap, what's not to like?
I can imagine this looking good on a wide variety of skintones. The texture is relatively creamy, considering it is a matte lipstick. Nonetheless, it can be drying, so I would advise a layer of lipbalm underneath.

I have been looking for both the perfect matte lipstick and a red color that I can wear without looking like I'm trying too hard.
I bought this particular brand/type in Perfect Red and Alabama. For reference, I'm a NC37 in MAC and B20 in Chanel. Additionally, I have not worn Alabama yet (waiting for the right time/date) so I'll be reviewing PR only. Once I have worn Alabama, I will update this review.
On the website, it says that PR is a bright blue-toned red. Depending on your definition of bright, I must say that the color is indeed eye-catching. I have pigmented lips but in order to bring out the color to its full potential, I applied concealer on my lips before the lipstick and the color turns out to be this amazing light red that is wearable with any outfit. If you're looking for a color that's office-appropriate, you might want to try this color out. If you're around my age range and you want a lip color that is fun yet sophisticated, you might also want to try this color out.
The formula is indeed creamy, as the other reviewers have pointed out, but stays on as matte as it possibly can. Don't worry about it being drying -- as long as you've moisturized your lips beforehand, it won't be an issue and this is coming from a woman whose lips naturally make drying out an everyday thing!
I might try out the other colors from this line because this is truly the best matte formula I've ever used.

I have no complaints on this product! I'm reviewing the specific shade I bought and used recently which was "Alabama." It is the perfect deeper red for fall and winter! My skin is an olive color, and I have dark features, and this worked perfectly for me. But honestly, i think this would look lovely on fairer skin tones at well. It's universally complimentary. Best part, it's cheap! less than 6 dollars. I also enjoyed that it was very matte, my only complain is that it did not make it through a few drinks and food. But it doesn't claim to be long lasting, and with any lipstick you'll have to reapply. All in all, I highly recommend it! :)

This stuff is horrid! I wanted to try NYX and I bought a matte lipstick for Fall/Winter 2012-2013 and it was too drying! Oh it was pigmented, but it was SO pigmented that I HAD to use a lip brush to apply, otherwise it would go on so sloppily and uneven. I don't like buying lipsticks where I have to use a lip brush to put it on, otherwise I would buy a lip palette and not a lipstick.

Very pigmented, LOVE IT! Will definitely repurchase! Their red, is really RED! ;)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS LIPSTICK LINE!
I actually got to try the Nyx Black Label Lipsticks prior to this but I think I have a new HG lipstick! I love the formula of these lipsticks! They're very pigmented and a bit creamy. It has no scent. No yucky scent of the round ones and no grape scent of the black label ones.
The colors I got were Sierra and Angel. In Manila, these products are scarce so I only bought it online without trying it at all. I just based it on numerous photos and reviews. My intense research truly paid off because these 2 colors I got were so great! They complemented my NC 30-35 Asian skin.
On my naturally pigmented (purply) lips, Sierra is a warm brown red.
Angel,on the other hand, is a pinky coral red. Not coral orange coral. More on the salmon side. So it's like a pinky salmon red.
I love it so much I'm hunting for more of these that Iike. I'm eyeing Strawberry Daiquiri,Euro Trash,Indie Flick,Audrey and Tea Rose next.
Nyx,you earned a loyal follower!
