This does a fairly good job at concealing the darkness under my eyes. However, it does very easily settle into any wrinkles, which causes me to look much older. Also, the spongey applicator feels nice at first, but it is extremely unhygienic and gets very gross after just a few uses. Although it's quite cheap, I've found many drugstore concealers that work better for the same price. Overall, I would not repurchase.

This product doesn't crease! I was surprised that it actually covers my dark circles, HG! Not a fan of the application.. It's nice at first but gets dirty and feels gross after a while..

**Shade Reviewed Radiant**
This is my second purchase of Maybelline Dark Circle Concealer. My conclusion, this just doesn't work for me. The first shade I got was the neutralizer shade which is very yellow in tone. According to Maybelline, if you have very dark circles (that's me) then you need to use the neutralizer. Well, this shade made my circles look green. Navy and yellow = green for me. So at that point, I realized that I need to be sticking with cool toned concealers that have pink in them. After some youtube searches, I stumbled on a girl "melmphs" who also suffers from dark circles and she loves this concealer in the shade Radiant. Radiant is a bright colored strong pink toned color. Well, this would work on someone who is NC35 and lighter. I'm NC42 and this is clearly too ghostly for me. Does it make the eye area brighter? Yes so I will rate the shade Radiant 2 lippies for brighening effect. However, it does nothing to conceal the circles. This just basically provides a reverse raccoon effect. I do like that this brightener has no shimmer or pearl in it like most. I think if my skin tone were lighter, I would appreciate this. But, since I can't use it...this is another bust.

It was an okay product.. nothing really special? It did what it was supposed to do, it hid my dark circles pretty well for the price. I did finish up the product however will not repurchase.

Awful stuff. I've tried using it in a variety of ways to no avail. It's very matte and is perfect for exaggerating wrinkles under the eyes.
Yes, it conceals dark circles. Yes, it feels moisturising and light. No, it no is not flattering unless you have tight, young skin. No, I don't like the fact that it comes with its own fluffy sponge attached - a fabulous breeding ground for bacteria considering how many times its going to be reused before the amount of product that it services runs out.
I decided to try using it as a more general concealer around the nose & on pigmented and blotchy areas of the face that don't need a more serious concealer in order to use it up. It creates the same problem: an overly matte effect which sticks out like a sore thumb (and I don't like 'brightening'/'illuminating' products and use setting powder to matte down my complexion).
Well, I suppose it's no great loss as it's absolutely chock full of carcinogens, allergens and ingredients that are known or suspected to contribute to auto-immune problems. It's been binned.

As of late, I have been experimenting with dark circle correcting products. I have been going through this phase where I just look like crap all.the.time. I feel like, no matter what my skin is looking sallow and my skin is more dehydrated than ever. My circles? Lets not go there. I'm like a punched out panda bear.
I've been using my erase paste, but some how it's not doing the trick....maybe cause my circles are worse than ever. Lets bear in mind that I paid $36CAD for that.... :/ sighs. So I have been hearing all about this dark circle corrector from maybelline and whilst walking through Walmart, I thought to myself "this is a product I am highly doubting will work. Its only $9.96 and is probably crappy, plus look at that gimmicky packaging!"......light, medium and dark, well I'll take light, tyvm and well see how it fares!
The packaging, O.M.G. This took me around 157 twists before anything came out! But even still I was surprised to find how light, and creamy and opaque this is. I dabbed it on my circles, and patted it in.
WOW. I look alive again. Another WOW because it's build able! After apply the rest of my face, I went on with my day. I came back to check on it around 7 hours later. No touch ups, no powder. It was still there looking good!!!!
Yes. I'm happy. I also sometimes dab some Mac Pro long wear on top for added brightness (depends on the look) its amazing. I am really happy I picked this up. Undoubtedly this won't fare well for all, but if you can find a matching shade it's great stuff! The foamy applicator isn't bad to cause it doesn't over apply it! <3 RIP panda eyes!

Can hundreds of excellent reviews be wrong? Talk about a HG concealer! The brightener shade surprised the heck out of me! Full coverage that doesn't look dry or sink into lines, isn't all shimmery, and lasts all day. This peachy pink product wakes up my eyes like nothing I've tried before...and I have tried most, if not all the other highly rated correctors and concealers. I'lI admit there are many that cover well but mature under eye skin needs a product that doesn't emphasize all the other issues we have going on. This one addresses them all and does so beautifully, IMHO. Try this and return it if it doesn't work for you. P.S. I also bought the medium shade and while it works very well too, nothing comes close to the brightener shade. For reference, I'm NW30 and it's not too light for me. I don't need any other concealer over it. For those who find this is creasing, try dusting a tiny bit of translucent or HD finishing powder immediately (before it has time to crease) after you apply the concealer and it shouldn't crease for the rest of the day. Also note that it's very opaque and just a small amount is needed. Any concealer you layer on in large amounts is going to crease and look cakey. Less is definitely more here. In the past I've always switched up my concealer daily depending on how my circles look but now I only use this...everyday. I dab it on my clean finger, tap it under my eyes (don't forget the inner corners) then buff it in with a fluffy brush and set with a small amount of HD or finely milled finishing powder. Try this and get ready for compliments on how great you look!

Loved it! Unfortunately the color in light and the fair where not light enough for me. bummer.. You can easily apply it. Loved the packaging, specially the sponge. Very moisturizing and it does not look cakey at all. I did want a lighter shade because I am very pale and at the same time I have very bad circles, so I like concealer a tad lighter to brighten up the area, and help contour the face. I would recommend trying this one out!

the best concealer i've found for concealing dark circles at the drugstore. although it doesn't completely cover my dark circles because mine are very bad, it still does a lot better job than most concealers i've tried and it doesn't crease or look cakey. the packaging for this product isn't the best but it works i guess.

This, for me, should be called aging and drying concealer. After initially looking OK, this concealer dried out my under eye area and made the fine lines I have there look 10 times worse. The effect unfortunately seems to last long after I have removed my makeup. Ugh! I have only used it twice and am now slathering my under eye area with Argan oil trying to re hydrate it. As another reviewer noted it has also a caused redness and irritation, almost if the skin has been slightly burned. Really disappointing.

I think I've been in denial that I have dark circles developing under my eyes as I get close to 30. Either that, or I've had such bad luck with any eye concealer of any kind----they always seem too dry, settle into fine lines, and look obvious on me. I started to think that perhaps it was better to just not use anything in the underye eye area other than eye cream.
I am so grateful for MUA, because the reviews have always steered me in the right direction. This stuff is FANTASTIC! First, it isn't too dry. It glides over the area, blends well and not obvious, but it also effectively covers dark circles. By the end of the day, it still looked good. The price is also pretty good for this, especially when you consider how much you get.
The only con for me: While I like the applicator (a spongy consistency), I have to say it doesn't seem very hygienic. It does say on the directs that it is anti-microbial but I can tell you that is a very vague term that probably won't hold up over time. I haven't had any problem with it breaking me out though, and it's probably because I only use it in the eye area.
Overall, if you've had bad luck with undereye concealers, I highly recommend trying this one out. It's a great buy.

I was so excited to see this in the UK, I bought two. I went for a couple of drinks with my friends whilst I was wearing this, I felt pretty good and confident that I looked nice - I nearly threw up when I went to the bathroom and caught a glance of myself in the mirror, it looked as if I'd been made up to look like a granny - it had settled in fine lines and highlighted every one of them - under my eyes, down the side of my nose and on my forehead. I'm so sad, it was so ugly, ANYONE GOT ANY AMAZING EYE CREAM SUGGESTIONS?

I was once again swayed to purchase something because of a glowing review on You Tube, but this time, I'm glad I did. This little guy is amazing and will always, always have a home in my makeup drawer / bag / stash. (I have the Brightener shade, by the way.)
I use this product every single day. Not as a concealer, mind you (more on that in a moment), but as an eyeshadow base. And it is AMAZING. A.Maz.Ing. I have very oily eyelids (ew, gross, TMI, I know and I'm sorry, but it's a fact.) AND, lucky gal that I am, I live in one of the country's warmest and most humid climates. Woo hoo! That being said, I NEED an eyeshadow primer, by which I mean, one that actually works. Until now, only MAC Paint (in Untitled) & Urban Decay Primer Potion were the only things that came close to keeping my shadow from creasing and making the pigment last. While I still have both of those in my stash, it's this gem that I reach for over and over again. The packaging is quick and easy to work with, especially when you're pinched for time (and who isn't when getting ready in the morning?) I just twist the band to release a little product into the sponge, dab my index finger onto the applicator, and work it onto my eyelids. Voila. It blends into the skin so effortlessly, so softly - it feels and performs like a high end product. Love it, love it, LOVE IT.
Now for the dark circle / under eye concealer aspect - I've never in my life found a product that truly 'conceals' the darkness under my eyes. I'll admit that I'm fortunate in that I don't have very dark under eye circles, so maybe that's why product after product lets me down in this department - it's like I'm calling more attention to the area by trying to cover something that's not really there to begin with. {shrug} In any event, if you've not already done so, do yourself a favor and pick up one of these the next time you're in the drugstore.

Been looking for my HG concealer to cover up my dark circles for years and after going through countless numbers of them i think i've finally found it
Wanted the colour 'brightening' which i saw was raved about on youtube. I couldn't find this anywhere in the UK for ages and only a few weeks ago saw it in Boots. They only had 'light' 'medium' and 'dark' so i went for the light as i wanted to brighten under my eye
Works like a dream. Goes on really easily and blends in well i usually use my finger but works well with a brush too. Covers dark circles well and lasts ages. Doesn't crease or settle into fine lines- I will continue to buy this for a very long time
just make sure you blend well around your nose as it can build up and look cakey there

The first shade I purchased from this line was the Brightener. I bought that explicitly for my under eye area and am enjoying the effect it gives. It doesn't take much product, and it blends really well. I find that this does not get greasy or smudged or dry during the day. It lasts well and seems to look pretty much the same at the end of the day. The second shade I purchased is the Neutralizer. I bought this with the plan of using it as a way to neutralize the discoloration to my eyelids, for days when I want to neutralize but not wear a primer because I don't want to wear other eye makeup (think: groceries, errands, etc.). I am happy to report that this works really well for this purpose. I dot on a few to the lids, blend, and I'm good to go. I would highly recommend this for omeone that has some red discoloration that they need to neutralize. Now - if Maybelline would just come out with a perfect light peachy color as a brightener, I'll be set!

I have this in the shade "fair" and have been using this product pretty regularly for about 6 months.
To begin with, the packaging really sucks. The plastic casing cracked and the click-mechanism broke within the first couple of uses and I got to have a nice messy time one night retrieving the product out of its gawd-awful packaging and placing the salvaged product in an empty screw-top sample pot I had on hand. My first few uses impressed me enough to go to all the trouble though.
I still keep the broken packaging in my vanity area for the little spongy tip-thinger on it, I find this little applicator applies, spreads, and blends the least amount of product while providing the most coverage, which is what I need because less is more with this product. I don't have a brush in my collection that delivers similar results so I just dab as little product as possible from my sample pot onto the sponge-tip thingy and use that.
I really like this product, it's not cakey and doesn't crease once set (so long as you don't go nuts by piling tons of it on). I do find that if I apply it without being properly moisturized it can look a little dry/scaly/patchy, though. Not terribly, but enough to annoy me when I'm examining my face.
I really like how opaque this product is with a very thin application. It's not perfectly opaque, but is quite opaque with very little product. I also like how comfortable this is on the skin and how easy it is to blend.
What impressed me most was that it doesn't crease under my eyes (again, so long as you remember that less is more), the skin around my eyes and my eyelids are on the oily side, so that it doesn't crease once set was pretty impressive to me given this is a drugstore product. One day I was in a huge rush and didn't have time for my eye makeup routine so I just quickly blended this product on my eyelids up to my brows as a wash to even out the skin on my eyelids, and praying to God it wouldn't crease on me while still expecting it would. But, it didn't crease for the whole day (lasted about 8-9 hours or so without any noticeable creasing), and ever since then I've been using this product also as a base/primer for my eyeshadow to help stave off creasing, and have been very pleased with it for that purpose also.
I also like blending this product down towards my cheeks in an upside-down triangle and applying it around my nose and fine smile lines and my cupids bow and the corners of my mouth, pretty much where all the problems in the center of my face occur, such as dullness/redness/creasing/shadows. The "fair" is just a touch lighter than my skin and my foundation, and has really nice blurring properties for fine lines, that doing this has served me well for creating oh-so-subtle dimension, staving off creasing (esp around the corners of my nose) and redness, and brightening up shadows around my nose and mouth. This product is so easy to work with, and so very little product is required, that this extra step in my routine isn't time consuming at all, it's very quick.
I do find I can get shiny in the areas where it's been applied on my face as the day progresses, and since on my face I mainly apply it in the center - that means I get shinier than usual in the center of my face. Blotting papers does the trick, but still, would be nice if it was more mattifying for my purposes.
I definitely don't think this product is overpriced, it's a very good product and very little is required to accomplish its task, those qualities are usually typical of high end products that cost significantly more, not drugstore products. So I think it's a bargain. Hate the packaging tho, they need to fix that. Otherwise, highly recommend.

I've been using this product for a few months now and to my surprise, I actually really like it. Prior to this, I was using Mac's Studiofinish concealer for my undereye circles - it wasn't bad, but it was the exact shade that I was using for the blemishes on the rest of the face.
When I first applied I thought it was too light because I wasn't used to using a lighter shade for my undereyes. But after a while I got used to it, and the great thing about this concealer is that it brightens up my undereye area and makes me look a lot more awake/alert. The consistency is good, and it manages to stay on for a solid 8-10 hours WITHOUT a setting powder. I was quite skeptical about the cleanliness of the applicator at first but I eventually got used to it. I haven't broken out in any way because of this product and never has it felt "dirty" or "unsanitary".
