Very easy on my semi fine hair. Ive been growing it out to my natural dark blonde, and this still gets the brass & warmness out of it and blends my medium blonde well with it. Makes it soft & shiny, much cheaper than Matrix So Silver, and Nexxus Simply Silver

this is more lavender purple than the others that are darker, this one doesnt stain as much!

Best product for color treated dark/medium ash blonde with highlights, is a little drying but not like Clairol Shimmerlights or Aveda, cheap, easy to find, keeps my hair shiny, frizz free and blonde, I use a good moisturizing conditioner after.

I bought this product after bleaching my hair three times and toning it to get the final brassiness out of my hair and keep it that way. So far I have only used it a few times but it is only seeming to work on my already practically white pieces, which is what I expected. I had a hard time finding a purple shampoo being as the only ones I could find were salon brand and $16 a bottle. But this was only $2! Definitely a steal and I would buy again because I am not sure how much better the expensive brand could really be. Overall: has not yet removed all the yellow, great price.
Also, I'm not sure if it is the shampoo, or the fact that I have bleached my hair three times, but my hair is extremely dry. So I am being sure to only use this occasionally. Will update if anything changes.

I'm not going to lie...this shampoo really strips your hair of moisture...it's like a super stripping clarifying shampoo. I guess that's how it gets your blonde so much lighter, b/c it's not nearly as dark purple as one n' only but seems to make my hair brighter...my light blonde pieces went platinum in one wash! No letting it sit in my hair or anything!

It's cheap for a blonde toning shampoo--around $5...the cheapest I've seen so far, although this is the first drugstore brand I've tried. I've heard that John Frieda's is okay (from my stylist) but not great for preventing brassiness in naturally dark hair. I saw recently that finesse has a silver shampoo, but have already found reviews saying it's not very effective.
I find this stuff to be more effective than One n' Only Ultra Silver Conditioning Shampoo, but like I said, it's harsh! Makes my hair very frizzy if I let it air dry without leave-in or something, which it didn't do with one n' only b/c I use a great conditioner. Unfortunately all toning shampoos are drying though, so it's always a trade up. Harsher=lighter, and I need the lightening for my naturally almost black hair to stay cool blonde.

It also contains parabens which are not good for you...at least it's something you're washing out versus leaving on your skin. Almost everything has chemicals that are bad for you these days, but I just can't get past the fact that parabens let chemicals straight into your bloodstream. It freaks me out just enough not to buy it again, unfortunately.

Pros:
Cheap
Available in drugstores
Lightens dramatically in one wash
Smells good and does not leave a lingering scent

Cons:
Very drying/harsh
Contains parabens

*I'm not sure if this is giving me dermatitis or not. So until then I'm going to say I'm not buying it again.

This shampoo works decently for getting rid of brass, but it could be better. I feel that it might make my hair a little dry if I use it too often, but if I use it once or twice a week it keeps my hair nice and soft. I would buy it again, simply becuase it is affordable haha

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to other shampoos for grey hair out there- bought it at Walmart for less than $4 a bottle- it works great, smells ok, and makes my grey hair look nice and shiny.
