This moisturizer had an odd texture and just sat on my skin. Didn't absorb and left a weird grey tint.

This is by far the best moisturizer I've ever used. I tried switching to Clinique's Dramatically Different for a little bit, and it made my skin act up. I have combination skin (with some veeery oily patches) and the gel texture of this is just fantastic. It sinks in quickly and your skin feels the benefits immediately. The only downside is the (very hygienic) packaging -- the opaque black doesn't allow you to see how much is left. However that's very minor, and I'd recommend this product to anybody.

This is the only morning moisturiser that I can use it under my sunscreen without feeling greasy. Easily absorbed and have a nice cooling feel if you apply enough of it. Sometimes when my skin feels oily , I will use this at night instead of my Duchess Marden. On normal nights, is definitely not hydrating enough. One of the nicest gel moisturisers I ever used.

I LOVE this stuff. It gives a nice tingly sensation but at the same time it seems to calm my sensitive skin down.
It's a little different than most moisturizers, It is not greasy at all, not even creamy. Once you put it on it basically disappears but you are left with this refreshing, energizing tingly feeling. I've never used this when on a day when my skin was super dry. I'm not sure it would do the job it I had flakes going on.
I really like how it makes my skin look. I don't wear it everyday, maybe just every 2-3 days or whenever I want to look/feel a little extra good.
It is super expensive and the packaging SUCKS!. It's this weird jar/pump. Once it's gone, I'm going to have a hell of a time cracking this thing open to salvage that last tiny bit of this awesome stuff.
I've been using this stuff in conjunction with Bioelements' Calming Hydration Fluid, another expensive item, but it's been working for me.

For the price, I wouldn't buy this again. But, I LOVE how it gives the face a cooling sensation for a while after it's applied. It works nice with the cleanser, which gives a heating sensation. It moisturised my skin pretty well. Didn't help with oil production, but then nothing really does for me. It's a great product, but I really don't feel it's worth the money.

I've only used this moisturizer for a month and I love the tingy feeling it gives when I applied it.
I've read so many reviews about how you couldn't open the pump before I purchased the product and was a little worried but I still ordered from sephora. When I received it, I just don't understand what people are talking about. The bottle just twist open, so I'm unsure whether it's a new design on the package or not.

This moisturizer is fine. It doesn't give my sensitive skin a huge reaction, does a decent job of moisturizing (not great) and seems to bring down pimple size slightly. But at this price point, I would prefer more striking results. I think this is just too expensive for being an OK product. Would not repurchase.

i normally don't write reviews but i felt that it was necessary for this product. i bought this back in may and i am already out. i use it once a day at night... this is an AMAZING moisturizer, don't get me wrong here. have mixed feelings. for my extremely combination skin (no joke, it is super oily in the t-zone and i have dry, flaky patches everywhere else) this is really balancing. it controls oil but it provides just enough moisturizer. it is lightweight and i never feel greasy while i'm using it. the major con: the PRICE! it is ridiculously expensive. when i spend $38 on a moisturizer i expect it to last me 6 months.... at least... this one only lasted 4. You only get on ounce... i recomend this to people who do not have problem with spending money on this. it is truly amazing but it is too expensive for me, that being said i am a teenager... also you cannot take the pump off the top and scrape anything out.. it might not be, but i feels like there is something down there and you cannot check for your own satisfaction. another point, you don't know you run out until the stuff stops coming out. i was super low and was oblivious about it. it stopped coming out so now i do not have a nighttime moisturizer for tonight. with a tube, it gets flatter, its hard to squeeze out, with an open lid jar, you can see it, with this the outside is completely opaque there is no way you can open it up and look inside. the jar itself, on its own without product in it, is quite heavy. i wouldn't call it travel friendly because the weight. the moisturizer itself probably doesn't even weigh half of the packaging. i realize there is a lot of negativity in this review but i think people should know. in a nutshell, it's amazing, a life-save for me, but it is too expensive and because of that i cannot repurchase it.

Ok first off, yes this is a pricier moisturizer, but a little goes a long way and the dispenser (it comes up through a hole in the top) keeps you from having any waste or contamination. It has the same odd herbaly scent that the Boscia Black Cleanser but that doesn't bother me at all. It's a lightweight very moisturizing gel that has a slight cooling sensation that lasts even after I apply primer, foundation, and powder...it's very pleasant. I think I paid $30 but as I said before, a little goes a very long way--my only beef with the packaging is that I can't tell how close I am to running out. I would most definitely buy again.

I cant believe people still have not tried this product yet.
firstly, boscia is a preservative-free and harsh chemical-free brand. This gel is pH-balanced, and alcohol free. **I have sensitive and acne prone skin (oily on the nose and chin, dry on the others)
it contains CHARCOAL - great for detoxifying
Glycolic acid - reduces oiliness and clogged pores (although i dont know the exact %)
During the first 2 weeks of use, my skin got oilier when i woke up. i guess it's just the action of detoxifying and bringing clogged pores to the surface.
I have been using this product for more than a month now and i can say this has greatly reduced my oiliness and my skin looks clearer than before. i can attribute this to the charcoal.
Cons:
Bad for dry flaky skin cos this will dry u out more
Stays put as a film instead of absorbing into ur skin
has glitter from unknown source (might be some natural ingredient)
expensive!

I got this in a set when I saw an awesome deal at Sephora for the Clarisonic Mia 2. The product is packaged in a bulky tub that you push down to dispense. It is a sheer black gel with a slight scent that I can't describe, but it is not a problem for me. You don't need an entire pump to cover your face and a little goes a long way. I did experience a cool refreshing sensation that others have mentioned. I've only used it 2 times so far but the results are amazing! My skin feels hydrated, looks even toned and radiant, and my pores look smaller! I've been using this with the Mia2 so I'm not sure which is doing the magic. I'm on my way to a flawless complexion! I prefer this over the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising gel and I will be repurchasing. The only complaint for me is that it makes my face really shiny.

This has a lovely texture and a little goes a long way. Provided adequate moisturizing for my combo/sometimes dry skin. It comes out black and dries clear. I saw a significant decrease in oil production when used during the day and overall quite liked it. But I couldn't get past the 'tingling' sensation that lasted about 10 mins after application. I couldn't help feeling there was something in this that would eventually cause irritation so I returned it after 10 days of using it. For a $38 moisturizer I didn't want to take any chances.

I got this as a sample from Sephora. This is the first moisturizer I've used that has a gel consistency. I applied this at night before bed after I washed my face. It comes out in a black, glittery gel. Once you rub it into your face, it turns clear & it starts cooling/tingling your face. It did suprisingly hydrate my skin, but it didn't do anything amazing that I noticed. I also looked up how much this retails for, & it's very expensive. Especially for something that was just okay, nothing special. I still gave this a 4 out of 5 rating, because this was invigorating, didn't break me out or cause any reactions, & it did hydrate my face. But, nothing I haven't experienced with any of the other moisturizers I've ever used that are half the price or less. I'm not cheap at all when it comes to beauty products, hair products, or anything for that matter. I will/do spend lots of money on products, but only if they're worth the money. This simply is not worth the high price tag. When it comes down to it, this does work well as a moisturizer, but doesn't do anything that other less expensive moisturizers don't do.

I love this product. It's a nice lightweight gel consistency and one of the few moisturizers that doesn't make my oily skin feel greasy. It soaks right in and leaves me feeling matte with a nice cooling sensation. I love the dispenser and the fact that the product is sealed for better preservation. And when you're running out, you can always twist the top off and reach the rest of the product. Boscia hasn't failed me yet!

Love this! Really did do an amazing job at moisturizing my face. Left it soft and smooth. I apply this before bed after I wash my face, and I apply this after I wash my face before I apply my makeup. Highly recommend!

I used this in combination with the black cleanser. I love that its vacuum sealed so you wont get germs in it and the glitter doesn't show up on you face. I haven't seen any of the pore minimizing or complexion clearing it promised. I wouldn't purchase it again because it wasn't hydrating enough for my dry skin. I can do better

Is it possible to be addicted to a moisturizer? This product is nothing short of spectacular. Talk about ingenius packaging, this pot is kept sanitary and preservative free since you pump it out, not scoop it out. The only downside is that it runs out quite quickly, esp for someone like me who compulsively used it on my dry and ailing skin. It has a little bit of a cool tingle once you apply it, but is in no way irritating to my skin. Definitely worth a try.

I only used this twice so far but I HAD to write a review already(I will edit later on if anything changes). I bought this yesterday after reading the review below me because I also have the same skin type. Sensitive skin that's extremely dry & tight with extreme oily-ness on top of the dryness with acne & enormous pores.(I was obviously blessed). I have tried everything for this problem. Exfoliating more, heavy moisturizers, gentler products. NOTHING at all worked. After I applied this last night for the first time the dryness in my skin was already gone. You feel this lovely cooling sensation in your face after applying, it's actually pretty relaxing. My face felt the softest I have ever felt it in my life & it did not feel tight at all. I also didn't wake up to my skin being covered in oil like I normally do. I used it again this morning & I was shocked. I didn't need primer. It made my skin a perfect canvas for my makeup. I've had it on for 4 hours now & I'm usually already oily. Today, I'm not!. I'm completely loving this so far. I think the packaging is cute. I like the pump top a lot but I also feel that I won't be getting all the product out. When the pump stops dispensing I will do everything I can to break it & get the rest out.. LOL! It is pretty pricey. it's $38 for 1oz but being that I've been searching for something for so long to help deal with this crazy skin of mine, I'm glad to spend it. If all goes well the way it is now, I will continue to purchase.
*EDIT* I don't know why I listened to everyone saying the top doesn't come off? All you have to do is twist the top & it pops right off! You can easily dip your finger in & get the rest of the product out that the can't be dispensed.

This product must be made by angels. I have really problematic skin and this moisturizer saved it. When I say problematic I mean dry and oily (in the same areas), acne and large pores. I thought I needed a really thick moisturizer in order to soothe the horrible tightness my skin was feeling (they didn't work) and on top of that, was using powder all day long to control shine (a complete nightmare). This product made my skin feel so smooth, hydrated and not greasy at all. It also cleared up my acne quite a bit and brightened my complexion. It's the perfect makeup base and if it works on my messed up skin type, it should work on anyone's.
Obviously I have to dock 1 star because it is appallingly expensive for the tiniest amount ever (I've started using it every second day because the effects seem to last and I can't afford to replace it that much).
Just for reference: I also use the olay pro x advanced cleansing system. These two are the perfect combo for bright, smooth, clean skin.

I purchased this moisturizer in conjunction with the cleanser from the same collection and am 100% convinced they are the perfect duo for my combination oily skin.
The gel is black with micro glitter scattered throughout, though I don't understand why as it does not (thankfully) leave skin glittery. The glitter is the only negative where this moisturizer is concerned and even I'm not convinced that it's a true negative. It has also a pretty great cooling effect, a feature that I appreciate now but will appreciate even more during the warmer months.
I use this every morning after cleansing (I use a retinol cream at night) and it brightens my complexion immediately upon application. My skin glows! It moisturizes perfectly, controlling my oily t-zone while keeping the rest of my face hydrated. I've been battling blackheads for over a decade and Boscia's Black's cleanser and moisturizer duo have significantly decreased the number of them. They aren't completely eradicated but I'm 75% of the way there - a number that I can happily live with. My pores have also diminished in size since I began using these products!
