After hearing Zoella rave about this palette I decided to go and get it. As soon as I got this palette the sandstone shade shattered, and that was super annoying. I like these colors. This palette is cute and fun for winter. The colors are super pigmented. Luster and night sky are stunning . Bubbly is also a beautiful one. I hate the smudgestick. It melted down my eyes within 4 hours. This is definitely a youthful fun palette that's not too expensive. I'm not obsessed with it, but it's pretty good.

I like the colours in this palette, I probably use this palette at least every 3-4 days. The shades are gorgeous & you can wear them in so many ways. The pigmentation is also very good, & personally I use an eye primer & have had no issues with wear (when I use them they last all day / night for me) I switch up using an eye primer or my Inglot creamy eyeshadow / liner as a base depending on what look I am going for. There is fallout however its safe to say many other shadows also present this issue which can easily be avoided anyhoo :)

I cannot say enough good things about this shadow palette. At first, it seemed like an odd combo of colors but they all blend w each other really well. The pigments are rich and true to color. The product itself applies and feels like silk on your lids. I haven't noticed any creasing problems that I tend to notice from some drugstore brands. It is also an awesome deal for what you are getting. Well worth the investment.

This is the most wonderful palette EVER. I got this for Christmas this past December without having asked for it and with not much experience with eyeshadows, and I have found that these shadows have been perfect to learn with and very fun to use as a now experienced user. The palette comes with ten shades, four of which are matte and the others are shimmer. It includes kitten, which is the most wonderful eye shadow on the planet! My favorite combination is kitten for the over-all eye, sunset for the crease, and night sky for the outer corner. This palette is under $40 and comes with a smudge stick eyeliner (which, by the way, are also fantastic). I will say the packaging is not phenomenal but it gets the job done. It would be awesome if it came with a mirror! My sister has the ud naked palette and I truly feel that this one is better. Though it does come with less colors, I find that the stila shadows just work so well for me. If you are considering this palette, I strongly recommend you go purchase it! I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.

I got this about 6 months ago when I walked into Sephora with a gift card, hell-bent on finally buying the Naked pallette that everyone would rave so much about. However, when I stumbled across this, I fell in love, and to date it remains the best makeup purchase I have ever made. I am not exaggerating.
The price was fine--it was at least 10 bucks cheaper than the naked pallette, which is what initially sold me on it. Most of the colors go on buttery smooth, and are incredibly wearable. Every color worked very well to pull out the color of my eyes (blue) and I've been able to create (and recreate, when watching Youtube beauty gurus) so many different looks from it. In addition, I have used it just about every day since I first bought it (for both day and night looks) and I've only hit pan on the black shade, which I use to set my liquid eyeliner.
The packaging is in a cardboard case which isn't the best--it would be lovely if it had come with a mirror in the lid, and I wish I felt more secure travelling with it, but that's really one of my few complaints. After dropping it a number of times, one of the shadows finallyfell out, but I grabbed the pan and stuck it back in place and saved the shadow by tweezering up the 3 or 4 sections it had split up into, did the old rubbing alcohol and plastic bag trick, and voila! Good as new. This happened to the Bubbly shade, by the way, which is one of the softer colors.
If you use a primer, fallout will be very minimal. I highly recommend this product.

I love this palette. I use every single color in the palette and they are super buttery and pigmented. You do have to be careful with fallout, just use a good primer. I have had this palette over a year and because they are so pigmented i need barely any product and I haven't even come close to hitting pan on any of them though I regularly use it.

I especially love Kitten. Its gorgeous over mac rubenesque paint pot!

The palette is cool-toned but flattering on my warm toned friends too. Everyone who uses this palette is converted (my sister bought it after using it and my best friend is planning on it). If you like a flattering, extremely pigmented, slightly cooler toned, slim, neutral palette for a very good value get this palette!

I may like this product more if I were a dozen years younger, but I'm in my mid-30s and the glittery shadows are a no-no for me. I like a pretty satin sheen but these have straight-up glitter. There are some matte shadows but I find them chalky and muddy, nowhere near as good as my MAC ones. The shimmery ones have nice pigmentation but I experienced crazy fall-out (trying different brushes and application techniques and primers).
Bottom line is that I'm too old for glitter pieces on my face, and this palette has been sitting in my makeup stash for two years unused since I feel bad about throwing away a $40 palette. Packaging is AWFUL, flimsy cardboard that flops right open. The smudgeproof brown liner is decent and it IS smudge-proof and stays in place, but I don't wear eyeliner (I like a softer look with shadow) so I don't use it.
Regret buy for me but I can understand why a lot of people like it.

Packaging - thin, travel friendly, not chunky, it doesn't seem that sturdy but I haven't had any issues

Pricing - it's not the most expensive palette, but it isn't necessarily cheap either. I think it was $39 at Sephora

Colors - I love the neutral colors. It's a great substitute for the Naked palette, although I own both. Mostly browns.

Pigmentation - these shadows are so soft and pigmented. I haven't had any issues with fading or fall out using a primer underneath. Some may argue these are too soft, but I like that. I barely have to load my brush and I get more than enough product.

Overall, I would purchase again. It's one of my to-go palettes, other than the Naked palette. I love how soft the eyeshadows are. If you love neutrals, this is a great palette to try. It also comes with an eyeliner!

In the light eye shadow colors are rich warm-toned colors. I found the eye shadow to be chalky with major fall out. Also has little staying power, even with primer.

After reading many positive reviews of this palette I decided to give in and buy this as Urban Decay is not available in my country. I instantly fell in love with the shades HOWEVER they do not last for more than 3 hours even with the use of primers. Compared to my MAC eyeshadows this has been very upsetting to me. Another problem I seemed to experience was that my contacts became useless after lining my eyes with the smudge stick they have included. Overall the price was reasonable but I will not be repurchasing. On the plus side, Stila has taken our complaints to hart as my palette came with a mirror and magnets to keep it closed when not in use. (I have e-mailed them with concerns of my palette being a possible fake due to these improvements but they have assured me that mine was from their latest line)

I'd never understood why Stila got so much love on here before I found In the Light palette. I've become a sucker for neutral palettes and have both the TF and UD Naked palettes, but I was compelled to add this to my collection as well after seeing a few posts on MUA about it. I prefer this over the TF palette and about as much as the UD palettes.

What I really like is that the colors really just go together. You could use just about any combo and it would look good. Stila makes it easy if you can't decide how to wear the colors--they've included a little booklet with six different looks. There are matte and shimmery colors in the palette, which makes it very versatile.

The lasting power is great. I use LORAC primer, and this e/s lasts all day with minimal creasing. The shadow goes on smoothly and evenly w/very little fallout, even with the shimmery shades.

The only thing I don't love about it is the packaging. It's somewhat flimsy cardboard, and the shades aren't printed on my palette--I have to flip it over to see which shade is what if I'm using the Stila guide.

I like this a lot. If you're a neutrals fan like me, this is worth having.

I like this palette a lot. Really good quality. The brown mattes are really usable in crease and for blending and shading natural/nude looks. My absolute total favorite which I wouldnīt want to live without and for which I would repurchase the entire palette is Gilded gold. Now, first I thought it was a really weird and actually ugly..... color staring at me from the palette. BUT, it is So goregeous on. A warm but yet calm beautiful brown bronze-ish with some kind of copper/gold sparkle. Now sparkle can be a total failure with fallout and such, but theese sparkles are sparse och tiny (UD:learn..!), just giving this sweet soft really discrete sexyness that is perfect. And I use this for work, and I am 41, and itīs not too much. Just GOOOORGEOUS. I have warm brown eyes with a coppery tone, and medium brown hair w coppery tone och a hint of yellow/fair/medium skin tone. Thought it would do asbolute nothing for me, but it is just perfect with my colors, a perfect colordepth/intensity. The color did not look appealing at all to me in the box, but on the lids it is fan-ta-stic!

I am just not a fan of this palette. The shadows are very powdery and get all over the place when you use them. Some of the colors do not have any color pay off. The quality of the individual shadows is very inconsistent. The ones that have shimmer/glitter have very chunky glitter and no pigmentation. The packaging is cheap and flimsy. I would be afraid to travel with it as it does not stay closed on its own and is thin cardboard. Kitten is wonderful as is the color that is almost exactly the same as Kitten..but other than those 2 colors this palette is a pass for me.

I bought this palette in December 2011 and now nearly 10 months later, I can say with confidence this was worth the money! I have used this palette nearly every single day to create so many different looks: from a natural look to a sultry smokey eye (night sky was my fav for this). Oh, and the matte colors are fantastic, i've never been much of a fan of matte, but these colors were so rich and felt buttery on application, blended so well and I received many compliments on this look. The smudge stick, damsel, is a really nice dark chocolate matte color that applies smoothly, I recently saw online that they are now selling it individually away from the palette which is pretty awesome since when it runs out, it is definitely an eyeliner I would like to purchase again!
My only critique would be there was a bit of fallout from the glitter shades to be aware of, the packaging is a bit flimsy and does not have a mirror included. Also, I preferred using an eyeshadow primer to get the intense color payoff otherwise alotta eyeshadow will be wasted trying to build up the color. These colors tend to be a bit sheer looking w/out primer but if thats the look your going for, then skip the primer.
Overall, its a great mix of matte/shimmer/glitter shades, so has been my go-to eyeshadow palette for 2012.

I originally bought this palette as an alternative to the Naked 1 palette. The colors in this palette are neutral and versatile. The colors are really pigmented and last, without much fallout during application. The packaging is okay but nothing super special. One thing I don't like is that the name of the color is not printed on the palette, but underneath. If you use the tutorial booklet, you have to flip the palette over to identify the color they suggest you use. The eyeliner is a huge bonus-- the Stila smudgesticks are the best liners and it adds a lot of value to the palette. Great deal and very useable.

stila cosmetics in uk is so under rated, its not very well known i feel. they need to do more advertiseing to attract the make up lovers out there, because they don't know what there missing. i love this palette and it was in my local boots store, but what pissed me off there was no stila counter in my city, there is just a section of stila cosmetics where there are limited items, and they do not sell all of the palettes, like in the moment, in garden palette.! stila was not even in debenams or house of fraser that sucks!. but im happy i got my hands on this palette in boots. stila's uk website needs to improve too,, its not very imformative, its just straight forward , pay and get lost, thats how it feels when you visit there website. there are no delivery options, no customer reviews. however stila make up i can not fault it, it is smooth and shadows apply like butter. stila needs to be in uk more, like benefit, dior, etc

Stila Stila Stila. I was just introduced to this line last week at beauty brands. A makeup artist did my makeup and we decided on this palette for my fair skin. I like the natural colors. They are very pigmented, wet or dry. Oh and the eyeliner is the best! I used this eyeliner today and even cried with it on it still didnt come off!! Im very impressed, the only downfall is the fallout from the eyeshadows.

This is by far my favorite palette, and I'm an eyeshadow junkie. I have hazel eyes that change color, and the earth tones in this palette really bring out the green. The colors are really rich and pigmented, and last all day! My only gripe is that there is a lot of fallout with this product, and the shadow tends to fall onto my cheeks when I apply it. When putting it on your brush, press lightly and only sweep up a bit, a little goes a long way.

I love this palette! I was at Ulta, I had the Too Faced natural eye palette in my hand, turned around and saw this. Too faced who?? I am so happy I chose this one. There's not much I can add that hasn't been said already. The colors are not only gorgeous, but I know I will wear each and every one of them, unlike some of my other palettes where there's usually 1 or 2 shades I don't touch! The eyeliner is fantastic also, I swatched it on my hand and it didn't budge until I washed it off with soap and warm water! Honestly, the packaging isn't a big deal for me, I don't plan on carrying this around in my purse or anything....great job Stila, I can't wait to get the other versions of this palette!
