This was a bit of an impulse buy for me. I've been suffering from some extremely chapped lips this winter and, at this point, I've been trying just about everything that I see on my way out of the drugstore! The balm comes in a wind-up container, it applies smoothly, it's not gooey or greasy feeling, and it has a very subtle mint flavor and scent. All in all, it has a great flavor, very nice texture, and hygenic packaging and that's the limits of my praise.
I'm not repurchasing this because I think that there is some ingredient in here that might have further dried out or irriated my lips. When my lips are at their driest and most chapped, this seems to make the discomfort even worse. The pleasant cooling sensation from the mint turns into more of a "stingy" and drying sensation. I haven't decided whether I'm going to completely toss this product or save it for the summer when my lips aren't so chapped.

Love this stuff! Such a light refreshing smell and it's light on my lips as well. Very moisturizing. My favorite Nivea lip product so far :)

I grew up in Europe, where Nivea is one of the best and most popular hydrating products, and we always had that traditional dark blue tin can Nivea nourishing cream in our bathroom. I haven't used Nivea for years, until late last year my Mom gave me Nivea's Kiss of Mint and Minerals (she said she got a two-pack). I had my Burt's Bees at the time and knew no better, but of course I couldn't wait until finishing the Burt's Bees to try this one out. Ever since I tried this balm, Burt's Bees has taken a hit and I doubt I will ever switch back. This is my favorite lip balm! It's not perfect, in that it lasts very little and has no SPF. BUT I love it for how smoothly it glides onto my lips, the tingle it gives, and I just love the feeling of Nivea's chubby stick lip balm shapes. I use it at nights, or when I am home and not feeling like wearing any lip color. The second I glide it on, I feel like a rush of cool creamy moisture pours over my lips, and I almost feel hydrated. I love my Kiss of Mint and Minerals. I have since tried other balms in this line (Milk & Honey, Cherry, and Shimmer), and find that no two are the same. I actually love that this one has a more creamy texture that Milk and Honey - that adds more shine. Several reviewers mentioned white film left from this balm, but I have never noticed it on me. I will pay more attention to it. I am almost out of this balm and, though I have plenty of others, I will repurchase this soon.

I really liked the Honey and Milk one so I decided to give this one a try. It is refreshing because of the ingredients, which I do like. However, I find myself reapplying it often, with that said, it does not last long and when applying it on already dry lips, it doesn't seem to hydrate it much. Don't plan on repurchasing this product because it didn't benefit me much.

I really like this product. It glides on smoothly and has a refreshing mint scent. Very beneficial after exfoliating the lips. I use this as a moisturizing protectant base prior to applying one of my lipsticks (mentioned in another review).

The name is perfect for this . It is refreshing, my lips are sore because of a cold . I picked this up yesterday at the drugstore , along with cold medicine . The mint was very soothing. Buying it again .

This isn't bad. a good on the go lip balm. But I far prefer my peppermint burt's bees lip balm - the cooling effect is far stronger, and the texture is slightly thicker/less slippery so I don't need to apply as frequently as with this. But, it' not bad for the price and nice to keep in your purse.

I was hoping I would like this one more but I don't. I like that it doesn't have a strong minty taste, and it moisturizes okay I guess. But that's it really. There's other minty lip balms that smell better and probably work better than this one. Won't repurchase. I do enjoy other nivea balms though so will continue to repurchase other scents.

This lip balm is great! I love the minty tingle and be way it makes my lips feel. When the tingle subsides the balm feels smooth and creamy on my lips.
It's just as moisturizing as my favourite and HG lip balm Nivea's Pure & Natural: Milk & Honey, but with an added tingle.
This lip balm feels so good! It's so creamy! It just makes me feel safe. Nivea makes the best lip balms and after trying every one from the Pure & Natural line I can say that they're all great.
Will I repurchase? Probably. I'm to alternate between Milk & Honey and Mint & Minerals as my ultimate lip balms.
UPDATE: September 15th 2012
I've been using this lip balm for quite a while and I've noticed that my lips absorb it a lot faster then the Milk & Honey one. I have to apply this one much more frequently.
And I've noticed sometimes the lip balm leaves behind this grainy white film. It's weird. I don't know why it's doing that, but it bothers me.
This was supposed to be a nice lip balm, but it's not as moisturizing as the miraculous Milk & Honey lip balm. The feeling is great, but I miss Milk & Honey's moisture and lack of white film, so I won't be repurchasing Mint & Minerals.

I am a huge fan of Nivea's Kiss of Moisture and Kiss of Smoothness and I thought that this would be a good one to try. I purchased it on sale with coupons and after a year of using it, I still can't justify the purchase. Although the balm is refreshing and slightly cooling when first applied, the feeling is soon gone. After, the balm sits on your lips like wax and is really dense feeling. It didn't feel very moisturizing or softening on my lips at all. When all of the product is absorbed (about 1-2 hours), a nasty white film is left on top of my lips. I wish the formula was more smooth and less of a hard wax. I won't be repurchasing this in the near future. I suggest the Nivea Milk & Honey or the Kiss of Moisture instead of this one.
