I recently got a pedicure and while I normally bring my own polish, something about It's My Year on the polish rack at the nail salon caught my eye and I couldn't pass this color up. This color is very unique, even though I do own a few glittery OPI polishes, none of them compare to this. It's a beautiful purple bronze/gold shimmer that looks even prettier and sparklier outdoors or when the light hits it. The color reminds me somewhat of OPI's "Meet Me on the Star Ferry" but with more bronze in it. This polish is on the thin side and takes 3 coats for it to be opaque. So far, it has held up well on my toes for the last five days with no chips. This is definitely a beautiful, unique color!

This is a sheer-looking plum polish packed with bronze and green microshimmer. On my nails the bronze is more pronounced and in some angles it looks like a full on golden-brown polish. I haven't tried layering this over anything because I haven't had any opacity issues (I'm surprised people are complaining about this being sheer; the formula is pretty watery but it took 2-3 coats for no VNL) but I'll give that a try next time. For being a unique shade and fulfilling my lemming for Zoya Faye I'm giving this 5 lippies.

I got so many compliments on this color when I layered it over black nail polish. It looks so nice over black because it brings out the bronze gold pink glitter. I also tried it layered over purple to bring out the sheer purple background of this polish. I don't really like it as much when it is worn on its own because it is too sheer.

WOOOW! I normally prefer polishes by China Glaze and Sally Hansen, but this color was too gorgeous to pass up.


It's a really pretty purple loaded with gold and bronze glitter. It's the perfect shade for the holidays (actually the winter months in general, but it's so pretty that I'll probably wear it right through summer). I haven't tried this, but you could probably even thinly layer this over another polish for a beautiful gold and purple reflects.


I need to hand it to OPI. Their formulas aren't the best, but they come out with some awesome shades. I am in love with "It's My Year" <3

I LOVE this polish. I wear it all the time and get so many compliments. It's just a beautiful color that I just can't stop myself from staring at throughout the day. It doesn't get much better than this color in my opinion. Definitely highly recommend this color to everyone! You won't be sorry. :)

This is a beautiful and I thought unique color, kind of purple with gold-coppery reflects that make this look different in each person. When a friend uses this it almost looks pink, and in my mom it looks darker. I really like the quality and the name but first I wouldnt repurchase because i found an exact dupe of it in a mexican brand called bissú.

I am not a huge fan of OPI nailpolishes but I just could not ignore this one as it was such a gorgeous colour. The best way for me to describe this is gold/bronze specs in a purple base. A great colour for the holidays <3

I'm going to buy a 2nd bottle of this, that's how much I love it. This is so freggin versatile.. I can't contain myself! This is gorgeous layered over basically anything!!!! The gleam this gives off is enchanting. I really can't say enough about it. To wear it, is to love it. Be careful though, you might just be staring at your nails all day long.. it's that slammin!

I don't generally like OPI polish but I do have several of them & this color is one of my latest acquisitions. I tend to regret the OPI's I buy but not this one, & I bought it online sight-unseen.


The first several times I wore It's My Year (Miss Universe Collex) I layered it over other colors & no matter what color was underneath it the result was always a rich frosty metallic bronze w/no hint of purple. That was beautiful in itself, but when I finally wore this polish by itself to see its true shade, I was floored by how beautiful it is. Although the color is sheer, 1-2 coats provides super-rich glimmery shimmery sparkly rosy coppery-bronze frost, especially when the light shines on it. At downward angles you can finally get a sense of the purple undertone, not very dark but not a pale lavender either, just very pretty. The 2-tone combination is gorgeous.


Alas, OPI polishes always chip quickly on me, which is upsetting but I still love the color enough to to enjoy it even w/chips & shrinkage (& I'm not even using Seche Vite, which is notorious for shrinkage). Since it's a visual-effects polish, the chips don't show too easily anyway. But it annoys me that such a high-end brand chips on me quickly while most other low-end brands do not.


I've seen comparison pictures of this shade vs. Rally Pretty Pink & I while It's My Year is prettier IMO, I'm motivated to get a bottle of Rally Pretty Pink also (might be too pale golden-coppery for my pale skintone?). This whole shimmery color effect thing is magnificent.

Before i was into nail polishes, i wouldn't even think of buying this polish. But as soon as i saw this on Miss Indonesia 2011 nails, i was sold. I love it! It's a purple foil-shimmer polish with alot of gold reflects. The gold in it makes it a total winner! So many people complimented on it when i wore it which i never get before (even when i was wearing China glaze For Audrey). I was at first torn between getting this or Rally Pretty Pink but i settled for the former because i like to think that it's from the Miss Universe Collection.

WOW! Gorgeousness in a bottle! Warm purple polish infused in multidimensional micro-glitter in gold, orange, green. Two coats work for me. One coat can be layered over other colors too. If you layer it over a darker color like Revlon Carbonite, it gives it a deeper tone.

Buy this! It is beautiful!
