I love it at first but it's not a really "special" scent. It smell great but nothing really complex. I also think that it doesnt really stay on me. I would be happy to get it as a gift, but I would not purchase it for myself.

I would like to start of with saying that the composition of this perfume seems to be quite simple, but it smells totally different on me from what seems to be in it. I for example get absolutely no green notes from this on my skin - they're present only half a minute after, but I don't actually smell perfumes in that period. My skin does have a tendency of turning perfumes less green and sweeter in general.
.
I think this smells beautifully! When I first spritz it, it's pretty sharp and spicy, with some oriental notes. Then it turns into a sweet honey smell mixed with a balmy smell. At last, I'm left with (not overly) sweet vanilla, just a little bit of orientals, balmy lipstick smell and just a tiny tiny bit of lily - it's almost not present on me. I don't think it smells like old people, but rather grown up, comforting, intimate and classy. I'm only 22, but I think it's age appropriate even for me. This can be compared to Organza by Givenchy in terms of what age group can wear it. The smell stays close to the skin and settles quickly, so I don't have to wait for long before exposing myself to people . I don't get a head ache from this, and I don't think it should bother other people either. This smell reminds me of my childhood - it smells a lot like my grandmas lipstick (I'veen hunting down a perfume that smells like it for YEARS!). She always kissed me on my cheeks when she had her lipstick on :) This was also that one of my friend house smelt like - her parents were Chinese and wad the house decorated with beautiful Chinese items! Lasting power isn't the best, but it's OK with me.
.
If you want a "special" scent - this is not it. It's not a complex scent, it's not going to make you stand out. This is actually what I like about this perfume - I can wear this soft smell every day without annoying people - they would only be able to smell this when they're very close to me, which I also think the name describes perfectly!
.
UPDATE: just a warning: on some people this smells very "lily" blended together with children's glue. I would strongly recommend to try a sample (or buy a sample) and not just buy a bottle. I also think this smells much better in the winder than in the summer.

I received a few samples of this. My first reaction was WOW! Love it!!! But after spritzing it on it turns to an old lady fragrance unfortunately. The opening is very nice, but during the day it just turns completely around to a very floral granny scent. Too bad!

The florals in this concoction scream LILY, which resulted in a massive headache. If you are prone to headaches, spray on the lower body or avoid all together.

My wonderful husband got this scent for my birthday in the EDP formulation, which is a lovely floral with a predominating Lily top-note. Good lasting power, and the flip top bottle is gorgeous. I saw a pure parfum version in Nordstrom today, and I sampled it and will buy that down the road.

Like a previous review stated, this is probably suited for older women. I would categorize this as a strong floral scent that falls in the same category as Elizabeth Arden Red Door. I’m not a fan of lily or rose scents. I got this as a sample from a Nordstrom order and it is definitely not my cup of tea. I will not purchase.

As much as I want to dislike this (the intial spray just made me think of a mature lady which isn't me) there is something that I just LIKE about this scent.

It has a mixture of citrus, green, white florals and exudes an array of moods.

The scent is very distinctive, it's very classy in a mature way, and as much as I say this isn't really me, I just can't help smelling my wrist and saying "this isn't really me ... but I really like it."

I'm torn ... maybe I'll test it a few more times before I decide whether to purchase it or not.

Cartier perfumes can be very easy for me to wear, or they can be disastrous. This EDP, while not one of the best, is very wearable for me, a go to everyday kind of scent, apply in the morning, and reapply in the afternoon or apply something else to the evening. This makes the scent very versatile. It has not irritated anyone around me, in fact, as another reviewer so brilliantly put it, it does not demand your attention all day as some other scents do (brava reviewer!!! excellently put!). The bottle is impeccable and modern, color of the liquor gorgeous. Feminine, powdery, light, it is easy to wear and easy to reach for.

Lovely, but unexceptional. Pretty, but conventional. I tried the EdT, and it dried down to a soft/greenish/lemony scent. My skin eat scent very quickly, but this lasted quite a long time on me.

I think this would be a nice summer scent; also very appropriate for the office. I wouldn't buy a FB, since I think it's overpriced, but I might buy a small decant.

I was really excited to buy this. Beautiful box and I loved the bottle. Not loving the scent though. It is a bit powdery for me and I surely do not smell much of a kick at all. It is a bit green and the drydown is very soft and powdery. Beautiful bottle but not strong enough for me:( sorry Cartier. I have the huge 100ml bottle so I will use it as a spare if I run out of my favorite.

Did a full on trial wearing of Baiser Vole recently. The quick sniffs of card, or bit on finger tests did not do it justice. I did full squirts in a store and wore it travelling and it was a perfect choice.

The sillage of BV is intimate - a very green green opening with citric top notes. There's hints of lily, but the majority of the opening is leaves and citrus - lemony. Then as the perfume unfurls, a beautiful, non-putrid lily starts emerging, more yard lily than LOTV. There are the lightly vanillic and spicy top notes of a yard lily, but they're really understated here. What is sold far more is the greenness of the lily, the floral aromatic top layer, and ultimately, a warm, intimate musk//floral/powder. So beautiful. I tried the EDP and am very curious about the edt and parfum. Lasting power was better than I expected - about 6 hours, and it was never overwhelming or "Dig That Chick In The PERFUME!!!" feeling. This one really is a lovely scent that is primarily for the wearer and perhaps an intimate moment. Loved it. Packaging lovely.

This review is for the extrait. I liked the top notes of the EDP and EDT, but the dry down of both had too much synthetic-smelling musk. The extrait is beautiful and is the only thing that's ever come close to my beloved Henri Bendel White Lily candle. Un Lys had too much vanilla, Lys Mediterranée was too aquatic and loud, and DK Gold was too indolic. For me this is the perfect lily.

Though not a pure floral girl, this fragrance bouquet has that heart-aching, composed, lady-like quality that really stirs my affections. I think it’s beautifully put together, and combines the sweetness of the lily with a grassy stem. It’s bright but creamy, lightly sweet, has good throw, and I find it haunting enough for it to linger in my mind whilst I wear it, as well as lingering on my clothes.

Very pretty with great staying power, it's still present 12 hours later. It has a lovely opening bouquet, although I thought more gardenia than lily. It dries into an innocuous floral, nothing surprising but also completely inoffensive. It's a lovely spring scent, but I'm not into it and wouldn't buy it, so it's average for me. It had no kick or spice. It's what I consider a church or office scent should be, pleasing and pleasant.

This is a perfect scent for days when I just want to smell "pretty", don't want to be thinking about my perfume all day (some of the most gorgeous scents I own are also very demanding in their presence and development) and crave that special womanly sillage Paris *used* to offer (not the reformulated Paris). Baiser Vole absolutely reads as lily on me, with a touch of powdered sugar but very little sweetness. This one will not set your teeth on edge if you hate the feeling of being enveloped by a cloud of cotton candy. It has a sheerness that I love and that many florals don't achieve, and keeps this vegetal quality throughout its development. There is a smokiness to the lily which I have not been able to get from Lys Mediteranee or Un Lys. The bottle is gorgeous with its genius lighter-like cap and I'd be tempted to buy it just for that, even if I was not so crazy about the juice. But at this price point, why deny yourself?
I will add that my husband who will run screaming from a room if it contains a vase of cut lillies, does not mind this scent at all.

I've always liked Cartier scents. Their Must in the blue box is the most perfect vanilla scent ever. And Dragon's Kiss is invariably praised by men and women when I wear it.

This is a nice summery scent. To me it's nothing like Chloe Love at all. Chloe is soapier (though I like it), this one is softer. If anything, it reminds me a bit of my beloved Narciso Rodriguez Essence. A little powdery, but NOT baby powder.

I got a sample of this. I'm not sure I'd rush out to buy it, though. I said 'yes' because I don't have the 'maybe' option.

This review is for the EDP spray. I have seen ads for the parfum extrait, but I have not been able to try that yet. For whatever reason, my skin tends to exacerbate any fruity or sweet smells in fragrance. And patchouli smells dirty on me -- and not in a good way. So it can be challenging at times to find fragrances that I like both in the bottle and on my body. For me, this is a winner. At the first spray I smell something green. The smell of floral leaves is strong and a burst of spring energy. Then it turns floral Not distinctly lily at first, but a spring floral smell, like I opened the refrigerated case at a florist's shop. Then a few minutes later I smell lilies; but delicately. And then I get some musk and powder. I can't tell you why this does not seem "vintage" to me; in fact it seems modern. It's what I had hoped Bulgari Femme would smell like. The dry down is soft, and the sillage is low. However, on me, it lasts for a full day. I find it a sophisticated close to the skin scent. It's not loud and it could be easy to understimate this scent because it doesn't announce its presence like Angel or Flowerbomb or Joy. It's not fruity or sugary or lemony. It's floral and powdery and if this makes sense, it feels like it wears dry. I love it. (Can you tell?)

I am usually a spicy, oriental fan. This year, I wanted to try something different - something a bit green, fresh, and ladylike.

It was a random guess - I literally ran around the counter at Nordstrom, tried about a dozen different perfumes, and made a cold, hard assessment based on the above criteria + reported longevity of the fragrance (thank you Nordstom perfume ladies for helping me make the call.)

I brought home Baiser Volé, a total surprise to me. Based on my usual preferences, I would've thought I'd end up with Le Baiser du Dragon, but there you have it - I wanted fresh, green, and ladylike. And that's what I got.

This opens with green, but a sweet green - nothing medicinal or bitter. People have mentioned they don't smell lily, but I definitely do - freckled, fuscia, Oriental lily, to be precise. Sweet and flowery and quite pronounced - but not cloying, as I find many florals.

Beneath it is soft powder and perhaps even a touch of soap - Cashmere Bouquet, to be precise. Not normally a note I like, but I feel it works here.

The green does fade, sadly, relatively quickly, but what I'm left with is not boring. People have mentioned white musk, and perhaps that's it - it smells like a soft powder, yes, but somehow with a bit of sparkle. And it lasts. I catch its ghost the next day, even.

This is young ladylike, I feel, but not callow. It's proper, definitely polite -- classy -- perhaps even conventional -- but no less lovely for it.

And what should I say about the bottle? It's brilliant. It's modern, yes, but in the sense of early-to-mid 20th-century modern. It's completely beautiful, satisfyingly and elegantly mechanical, and the very, very light tinge of ballet pink against the pale gold top is delightful.

I would prefer more of the green, perhaps more of the reputed white musk -- and it's hideously expensive (thank you gift card!) -- but I find myself wearing this daily. It's not a typical fragrance for me, but I wanted something different from my usual. I got it, and I'm warming up to it.

I love this perfume.
I am not the best describer of perfume notes, so I think the review before mine does a much better job, not to mention that its so poetic its fun to read just for the heck of it because its so pretty. In any case, I am a fan of florals. I like Miss Dior Cherie, Chanel Coco, Chanel Chance, Dior Jadore and Addict (addict's a little more oriental, granted), and Bvlgari. I like fresh scents too, but I'm a little wary of spicy scents and rose which generally overwhelms me. This is the prettiest scent on opening--like a field of flowers that are soft and feminine, and then the drydown on me at least is a little musky and makes me want to keep sniffing my wrist. I'm a big fan of musk and woods/moss in drydowns, citrus is good too by me--I like natural scents a lot since most of the day is spent in the hospital wishing I could be outside haha. Cartier is generally hit or miss for me, and the misses I usually love on others but they just don't work on my skin. That said I think they do make superb quality fragrances and I'm so glad this one is wearable by me. In fact its going on my birthday wishlist since I just can't afford it right now but I certainly hope I get it and I will definitely be wearing it regularly. I also think its a better spring/summer scent rather than a winter scent. Maybe not the best cocktail party scent but it is a very pleasant outdoors dinner/date scent.
