OMG - the odor of this product is so unpleasant. It feels sticky and tacky and remains that way after application. I attempted to use this product, but the odor and tacky feel made it difficult to like. After one week, my sensitive combo skin became irritated in the nasal labio folds and marionette lines - the exact areas it is suppose to help! Three strikes: odor, feel, irritation - would not use this again.

I have combo skin and i find that this tends to congest it. I prefer the Kiehls Advanced Line reducer which contains the same level of vit C but is far more sophisticated in texture. It causes my skin to be gritty at the end of the day and does not layer well. It doenst immediately absorb. I find the Ole Henriksen truth serum is also much better than this texture wise, but its not as high in vit c concentration. This is a mix of vit c, peptides and retinol. The delivery system is air tight and its great but the formula is just a fail. I get much better results using Peter Thomas Roth retinol infusion PM which contains the same level of retinol as this. They seriously need to work on the formula. Its like potent ingredients mixed together in a couldron without much thought as to how it absorbs or how it layers. I really wanted to like this but it just makes everything else on my face slide. And given that serum is the first thing i put on my face, I just cannot justify using this. This could be ok for dry-very dry skins since it could absorb better.

I've been using this gel for about 3 months now and I'm very happy with it. Not overly heavy on my combo/oily skin and it has also lightened some of the dark splotches on my face. No it hasn't made my lines disappear but it has softened them a little, which is about as good as it gets without visiting a plastic surgeon. I really like the airless pump packaging too (though I have heard some people have trouble with it clogging this hasn't been an issue for me.) Unless I find something better, this is a definite re-purchase.
