Amazing mascara! I've tried high end and low end and it's awesome. The brush is a regular size (not a fan of huge brushes because my lashes are not super long). The formula is rich and creamy and extremely buildable. To be honest, 1 coat would do too much but 3 or 4 gives you false looking lashes and without flaking. This mascara reminds me of Fresh Supernova mascara. Amazing and I will continue repurchasing at such a great price!

Wowwwwwwwzzzzzerzzzzzz!!! This is the BEST mascara I have ever used! I have tried many, from high-end to drugstore and nothing compares to this baby. My high-end HG mascaras are Make Up Forever Smoky Lash and Lancome mascaras and my HG drugstore mascara was Maybellene Black Drama, but this blows all of them outta the water! If it wasn't for MUA and seeing all the great reviews here, I wouldn't have found this HG mascara!

PROS:
- non clumpy
- full on volume, length AND curl in less strokes
- amazing bold black colour
- nice thin nylon bristle brush (so you can really get in each lash)
- cute packaging
- GREAT PRICE
- no flaking everrrrr
- works beautifully even WITHOUT an eyelash primer! WOW

CONS:
- nada

First off, let me say that I am a HUGE fan of Annabelle's products. Canadian ladies, if you can get your hands on their stuff, take advantage!

If you aren't a lover of this mascara, then you're using it wrong. BIG tip for ladies that are new to mascara: SCRAPE OFF THE EXCESS PRODUCT onto the edge of the bottle. I promise, your lashes will look so much better this way.

Anyway, it's a little pricey (about $9-$10 CAN), but definitely worth it. It gives my lashes volume, length, and best of all, doesn't make my lashes look clumpy. I would definitely compare this to a high end, $20-$30 dollar mascara. 5 lippies for me!

Holy heck, talk about perfect mascara. Length and volume. Separates. It actually does it all and you don't have to mess around with it. Apply and go. Creamy texture, easy to take off with makeup remover. So happy I found this little gem. Reminds me of Lancome Hypnose mascaras at a fraction of the price. New HG mascara.

A great value! This mascara lengthens and thickens without clumping, even with repeated coats. The applicator brush seems a bit longer than what I'm used to, but you can easily get used to that. I would repurchase.

AWESOME !!! I just bought one tube after reading the good reviews on it, and I can't believe how well it works ! I get that big volume after one coat, but if I want that dramatic look, I add two more coats ! It doesn't clump. I uploaded a picture to show how nice this mascara works (6th picture). I apply my Cil Booster XL by Lancôme before I curl my lashes with a lash curler, and I apply two or three coats of this mascara. It wonderful!! I got it on sale for only 2,67 $ CAD...still can't believe it! Go get one, you won't be disappointed!

For the past year, this has been my go-to mascara. It gives lovely volume and really brings out the length in my already long eyelashes. It's great to make your lashes stand out against bright colours and is quite flattering. My only gripe with it is that I do find myself wanting to pull it off during the day as my lashes will catch on each other when I have it on. It also can flake a tad during the day which is kind of disappointing, but I can live with it. I do wish that Annabelle would make a waterproof version of Le Big Show because if I'm running to the bus stop in the rain, 8 out of 10 times, Le Big Show will be creating un big mess all over my face.

I've only used this twice but as of now I hate this!I found this clumpy and hard to get on my lashes . I didn't end up with intense lashes either in length or volume soo disappointed
.It doesn't leave you with too much raccoon eye after a few hours but this does flake on me.Ill keep using this hopefully lt it will grow on me.Who knows maybe I just got an old one since it was the package set with the liner but it was on sale for 5 dollars so no great loss

Edit- still the best and i have tried even more mascaras since my initial review. i recommend it to everybody.

---

This is the best mascara. I use less eye makeup just cuz i don't need it after this. Very volumizing, wet so u can build it, lengthens a lot, pretty feathery fanned out look, veryyyyy black. Btw i think using a business card/post it during application is a MUST with this- the brush is huge and the formula dries slowly, so it's the best way.
I like it more than my other fave, Diorshow extase, because this one doesn't clump for me if I put on too much, so is easier to use. Extase is awesome too, but it's expensive and almost the same thing. Holy grail and i think i should stock up as i've never come across SUCH a great drugstore mascara.

I got this for the average $10 that it sells for here in Canada, however it came with a bonus Glitterama liquid eyeliner which will be perfect for St. Patrick's Day (not to mention the Glitterama eyeliner is an average of $9 itself)! This is the first time that I've tried Annabelle products, and I will definately be trying more in the future :)
I wasn't expecting anything really from this mascara, but it passed my personal "ultimate test" by lasting throughout the day - no smudging, no flaking! YAY!!! The volume and length are noticeable but not dramatic at all. I always layer my mascaras anyways, more for separation/combing rather than buildup/drama, so that doesn't lower my rating for this. The black colour is nice and inky.
I use an eyelash curler, and my curl only fell a little bit during application. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather have gently curled lashes all day and night versus lashes that start pretty but fall flat by noon. Stays put all day but washes off at night no issues.
I just started using this mascara, so if anything happens to come up I'll update my review. All in all, give this mascara a shot! You might be pleasantly surprised! After all, who doesn't love discovering a favourable new brand!!!

cute packaging. Liquidy formula makes application quick and easy. Has 10mL of product (much more than some other mascaras). great length and volume without clumping.

Overall this is a good product and does deliver. The formula is really wet so drying time is essential, but because of this it's easier to make corrections and doesn't clump. The packaging is a little cheap. Obviously it's a mascara tube but the label is paper and I'm not a big fan of that. I got it on sale at Shoppers for around $6.

* UPDATE APRIL 2013: Just to let everyone know, Le Big Show and Expandable are the SAME mascara, but a different brush. So if you liked the formula but didn't love the brush, perhaps give that one a try, although I preferred the application of Le Big Show to Expandable.
* Update December 2012: I've since moved on from this mascara, but I would probably be willing to try this one out again. But for now I'll not be repurchasing.
*Update May 2012: I had some issues with the formula after long-term use, which caused clumping and less soft lashes. What I discovered was that cleaning out the tube and brush resolves the issue about 95%. I swirl the wand and pull it out, then wipe it off on a wet rag until all the mascara has been removed, and continue doing so a few times until the wand comes out with a more even dispersal of the msacara. Wiping up the opening also helps.

Claims - True or False?
1) Mega volume: True.
2) Separation without clumps: Sometimes.
3) Endless length: True.
4) No smudging or running: True.
5) Smooth and flake free: False
6) Suitable for sensitive eyes: True.

Packaging:
A black plastic tube with the logo and design printed on the side. It opens very easily. When removing the wand, most of the excess is removed with only a bit at the tip needing some scraping. A standard bristle brush that is nicely packed, with shorter bristles. The brush itself is quite long though with a tip is tapered. The mascara came in a customary plastic and cardboard wrapping, and while not any more difficult to open than most, the tube did seem to be glued to the cardboard, as there are cardboard remnants on the side of the tube.

Formula:
Le Big Show starts out as a fairly wet, but still workable, mascara and by the 1 month mark is definitely at an ideal consistency (with regular use I've noted that it then starts drying out within another month or so). Because it's pretty wet at the start smudges are more likely to occur, but once it dries up I don't have this problem. The mascara only comes in one colour, black, but I feel that it's a nice middle-ground black that isn't too harsh or too soft. It's one of the easier mascaras to remove, as I am able to remove it even with just water and a bit of massaging. The biggest turn-off to the formula is the fragrance, which is quite strong and reminiscent of house paint (I've repurchased a few times so it was not just the one tube). This does not irritate my eyes or dry them out though, but be cautious is strong fragrances are an issue for your eyes.

Performance:
In application I find that it goes on a tad clumpy, or just doesn't separate my lashes as much as I want - this can be remedied with a comb/spoolie if needed/desired. I found that my lashes would stick together sometimes during the day if I used too little of the mascara, although this may have only occurred when the formula was on the wet side. The volume isn't over the top but I'm happy with what it provides. A great aspect of the mascara is how soft it leaves my lashes, at least for the first month or so of use, then it starts drying crispier on the lashes. Even when it's drier it goes on with minimal weight over my lashes. It helps bring out my natural curl without weighing it down but doesn't create extra curl. I don't think it emphasizes length in any significant manner, but it provides a natural oomph to my length. Sometimes I can experience a bit of flaking, but when it does happen it's very minimal (started to become more of an issue with regular use). It doesn't smear or smudge on my lashes, even through a lot of sweating (such as while working out) smudging is quite minimal and only occurs where the tip of my lashes touch my brow bone.

Bang for your Buck:
This mascara costs around $10.00CAD for 0.38oz/10ml at Shoppers Drug Mart, which is very similar to other drug store mascaras in price and amount given (although it might have a bit more product than most).

Final Consensus:
I'm consistently pleased with Annabelle eye products, and this one seems to be no different. While it isn't perfect, especially with prolonged use, it does create a very nice look to my lashes compared to other mascaras I've used.

I looove this mascara!! I'm a make up artist and i worked for different make up companies, never have i tried and loved a mascara so much. I have long lashes, but this mascara gets them even longer and so thick and black!
I bought one to carry in my kit for my make up contracts too!
Sometimes i layer it with Telescopic from l'oreal, for a extra oommph, but even alone Big show is amazing.
I'm barely wear false eyelashes now.
I'm a proud Big Show addict and i'm never going back to something else!

This is the latest mascara from the Montreal based Marcelle/Annabelle company and I must say i'm impressed. This formula is very wet, black and shiny and allows you to apply as many coats as you want without much clumping. It is build-able to give you nice volume and a bit of length. It only comes in one color 'Black" but it is a very deep bold black. I did take of one lippie because it smudges easily due to the thin consistency. Overall i'm liking it and I bought a spare since it was on sale for $6. Regular retail $10.
Oh and the brush is very soft so it's nice for sensitive eyes.
