PLEASE NOTE: The 3 rating for the cost of this palette is due to two reasons.
1. The notorious unreliability of the Sleek website makes it unlikely that I would purchase this from them directly (instead, I purchased it on Ebay from Linda's Cosmetic Corner.)
2. Because Sleek (and most of their Ebay sellers) are primarily based in the UK, and I live in the US, I had to pay a currency conversion and had to pay for expensive shipping.
If you live in the UK, you can pick these palettes up at Superdrug (which supposedly sporadically has them in stock), and even were you to order them online, it would be significantly less expensive.
Now then, on to the palette itself:
This palette has twelve colors:
- Tequila Sunrise (a shimmery orange)
- Martini (a shimmery beige)
-Blue Hawaiian (a light matte blue with just a hint of green in it)
-Bloody Mary (a matte red)
-Screwdriver (a matte sun-yellow)
-Green Iguana (a dark shimmery green)
-Apres Midori (a bright green with a silver shimmer)
-Blue Lagoon (a matte medium-blue)
-Purple Haze (a matte blue-purple)
-Green Martini (a dark moss green with a silver/gold shimmer)
-Singapore Sling (a lush dark pink)
-Espresso Martini (matte black)
It comes with a sponge tip applicator wand with a long handle, and the compact has a mirror in the lid, which is very helpful, although it does make the compact a bit heavy. (Also, the applicator loses them some points, since the sponge tip isn't replaceable.)
All the colors are very pigmented and vibrant, though without a primer, none of them will go on completely opaque. Over a primer (I used NYX Eyeshadow Base in white) they are very juicy and colorful! The pigments are blendable and smooth, and again, when applied over a primer, they will last all day with no creasing. This is a much better value than palettes from a lot more expensive companies: I own MAC eyeshadows with worse pigmentation!
Overall, this is a good investment, though the color selection in this palette baffles me a little. I'm not sure what the Green Martini color is doing there, since it seems more subtle than a lot of the other colors. In general, if this palette is indicative of the quality of Sleek products, I would purchase more, though I would probably buy a few of their other palettes (like the Circus or the Acid) palettes instead, because I like bright colors. Still, it gets a "yes" rating, because I know if I don't give one, nobody will bother reading the review.
