#12 - black brown is perfect for a natural look
I sharpen and apply a thin line close to the upper lash line, to fill in lashes.
Really opens up my eye, whitens and brightens the eye, and looks so natural.
Silky smooth texture applies easily and does not smear!
Formula does not irritate the eye.
Always remove it completely with Lancome BiFacils eye makeup remover.

When it comes to eyeliner, I always like buying a different brand each time I run out, so I have come to try most of the ones made by "higher" brands.
This is one of the worst.
I have blue/green eyes, so the chocolate/expresso (I sharpened the pencil past the color code, oups!) shade suits me perfectly.
The pencil sharpens well, the smudger works great, the color is fine... but the consistency of the pencil is so creamy, it won't hold past 2 hours on me, and I don't have oily skin.
I normally do the "Audrey Hepburn" look with my eyeliners, and so the pencil has to be a little creamy, but the line has to stay a line!
With this, my line ends up looking like eyeshadow - I'm not even joking. When I read the reviews I thought "well it has to smudge a little!", but this pencil smudges COMPLETELY.
I haven't tried Giorgio Armani's other products, but I can tell you that this eyeliner is not worth it.

its not a good eyeliner, it smudges and gives me a panda look after 2 hours. i want something that stays on.

These eyeliners are amazing!!!!!!!II have the chocolate brown shade (I think is nš12).
The color is beautiful, with no weird red undertones (it's so hard to find a good flattering brown liner when you have dark brown eyes).
It's super creamy, glides on like a dream and it comes with a cute smudger tip, perfect for getting the smokey effect!Plus, this liner stays on all day long!Incredible!!!
They're pricy, but totally worth it!HG!

Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencils are a lovely alternative to black eye liner. I use the Navy Blue and Purple all the time. They go on smooth with no tugging. They are soft, which I would bet for some people means smudges. However I like the texture and do not have a problem with smudges. The price is a bit high for a pencil, but pencils last forever (sorry ophthalmologists). (Separate review, JANE makes a great, uber cheap black pencil that is fabulous.)

This is my favourite eye pencil. It is easy to apply (it goes on like silk even if it is not a kohl), to smudge, to take off. The packaging has a sponge applicator which does not irritate the eyes (unlike the Chanel one which is very sturdy).
The only downside is the lack of staying power: it tends to disappear during the day. As I have not found any other product that gives better results (I tried Mac, Chanel, Urban Decay, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Dior , Nars and MyFace) I will repurchase it. n.5 if a great warm purple colour that works fantastically with hazel eyes. I have also tried the deep brown (n. 12), which is equally amazing.
****EDIT: I bought this in black and it flakes very badly. Whilst the other colours are great and do not give problems the quality of the black pencil is not satisfactory.

I love this eyeliner in the darkest brown shade. It is a perfect dark coffee, almost black brown and looks great against my fair skin and dark blue eyes. It is my favourite eyeliner pencil in the world and would have top marks if it were not for the fact that it does not have great staying power and wears off after a while just like any other pencil eyeliner I have come across. It is pricey but I will always buy again as I think it is worth it for the perfect colour, silky application and sophisticated look it gives to my eyes.

wow. I adore this pencil. I can make a very thin line with it and easily do a winged eye without messing up (which I always do at least once with every other brand). I have this in number 3 which is is very dark blue. Actually, I thought at first it was a low intensity black. Color is easily administered (yet isn't messy) and having a smudger is handy!

Beautiful performance - incredible colours. I have No. 6 a gorgeous green black - very unique as I've never come across anything like it before and No. 12 - a true chocolate brown. Absolutely lovely on.

I got given one as a gift for christmas and loved it! The texture is really soft so easy to work with, my friend also showed me that i can creat a eye shadow effect buy blending it i found i prefer to use a brush and then apply my eyeshadow over the top makes it easy when im in a hurry, i would buy again i plan to get a couple of colours to use with eye shadows.

I have the new silver pencil that was in the Maestro eye kit and i put it on as a liner then i do a real thin line of black close to lashes It looks really pretty like that. Otherwise its too light to use for anything else. So I am sure it will last forever and I won't be repurchasing-I think its a limited edition anyway. Good for the holidays!

This is a somewhat decent eyeliner. I love the texture and the sponge at the other end is just brilliant for people to blend for the smokey eye effect. However, this thing rubs off on me pretty fast. So if you have oily skin, I say skip this.

Though I am a devotee of BB Bronze Shimmer eyeliner-gel, my #12 pencil runs a very close second. I like this pencil for two reasons: first, the color is a very dark brown with a little bit of purple hue. Test on your wrist, it looks a bit black, but it's dark brown and eggplant. I also adore the consistency. It is as smooth as silk. The only downside is, to wear it through the day, I find I need to touch up my concealor and eyeliner about noon - I have extremely long bottom-eyelashes that must be getting some of this application in the AM!

This is a really nice eye pencil, texture-wise. I got it in black. It goes on smoothly and evenly and smudges out beautifully (love the smudger tip), however, it also doesn't last very long. It was fine on my upper lid but the color on my lower lid smudged and faded away after a few hours. I think it may work better on the lower lid if I used a fixative of some sort (like Benefit She-Laq). Anyway, it is a nice pencil but MAC powerpoints lasts all day on me (top and bottom lids)

I have brown. Very smooth and nice. I actually prefer harder yepencil. I use an angle brush to shape line. I can line or I can use it as shadow.
I hate the price.

I thought MAC had great eyeliners until I tried them from my favorite makeup line, Armani. These pencils are supreme in every way. Unlike MAC, they have a smudger sponge at the end to create a smokey look very easily. Also, they stay on so nicely and much longer than MAC Kohls, yet thay are just as soft, if not better textured on the lids. They feel soft and luxurious. I love the colors I have, a deep dark green-black and a very deep plum purple. Very beautiful and they make my eyes really stand out. I love the packaging too, and even though the price is ouchy, these pencils are really long so they'll last at least a year for me. Worth the money to me, I'm convinced, and the best eyeliners I could ask for. Perfect pencils that have really impressed me. I love them.

The best eyeliner I ever used. Soften, easy to draw, great color and can stay at my eye for whole day (if I remember not to rub my eyes). This eyeliner can also use as eyeshadow if I blend it on eyelids. My favorite colors in priority are: #7 (sharp blue), #8 (grey), #6 (sharp green), #4 (black) & #5 (purple).

I usually hate eyeliner pencils b/c they pull on my lid and take several applications to create a dark line. This is the exception though! Very soft and creamy and doesn't cause any tugging or pulling of my eyelids. The pigment is rich and the color choices are excellent (I love the royal blue #10). I haven't had any problems with it disappearing by the end of the day; in fact this is the only brand that will stay on over 8 hours on me. The quality and packaging are great and although it's expensive I'd repurchase b/c of the results.

Like what happened to the previous reviewer, this pencil smudged on me within hours, and the black colour got transferred to my under eye area. :[ It's not as bad as other eyeliners I've tried though, as I tried this in the very humid summer weather, and only a small amount smudged. Other than that, this goes on very smooth, and the colours are beautiful. I will stick to my Bobbi Brown Gel Liner though for the staying power.
