It's a cool looking soap and it smells like mint, but that's it. This soap is a nightmare to lather. Your skin does feel cool and tingly afterwards, but despite this I didn't feel "clean" enough? A sales associate convinced me to buy it and I regret it. Not my cup of tea. It also seems to be more of a masculine-type soap for me anyways, I feel like mint should be on dental products, lotions, or tea - not soap. :P

I really wanted to like this but all I could smell was pepper mint. It's hard to lather and can be drying. Oh and if you have any cuts or scratches on your sin be warned this will burn

DitD is one of my absolute favorite LUSH soaps. It's a lovely mix of apple, banana and mint - totally unique and fresh, perfect for a morning wake-up! It's also one of the most moisturizing, lather-y soaps available at LUSH. Slightly more pricey than their other soaps. Definitely give this one a shot.

Oh my, i got really upset when this was arrived i was sure i'm going to like it...i was expecting something more like Freeze shower gel, insted i got mint and lots of clove. smells like the tooty tabs :It's very manly scent so i'll give some to a friend.

This one was just "meh" for me... didn't love it, didn't hate it. In comparison to the other unisex Lush soaps (Dirty, Ice Blue, Sea Vegetable), this one is lighter and sweeter. I did however enjoy the hint of apple and the creamy smooth lather is nice as well. If you like minty clean scents, but don't want to be blown away by the scent or smell like you've bathed in a vat of mouthwash, I'd say give this soap a try. It's really pretty funky looking in the soap dish too ;)

This is a great bar soap from Lush. Demon in the Dark is a visually appealing soap -- it's dark green with lighter green swirls throughout. One of my roommates said it looks gross and moldy, but I think it's pretty.
When you first get this, it will be wrapped in black wax that needs to be peeled off before using. I had no problem peeling the wax off like some people have; it came right off for me without taking off any chunks of soap. I did leave the wax on one side of the soap. This way, the soap didn't stick to my soap dish and this also made the soap a little easier to hold.
I love the smell of this. It's a spicy spearmint scent that would be great for guys or girls. The smell is pretty strong, but I love how it fills up the bathroom when you're using it. It's very refreshing and wakes you up. The smell doesn't linger on your skin, but it does leave your skin smelling clean.
Like many other Lush soaps, Demon doesn't produce a bubbly lather like most shower gels do. This makes a nice creamy lather that made my skin soft and moisturized. Lush claims the mint will make your skin tingle, but I never experienced that. It does feel very cooling on sore muscles, though.
This is a pricier Lush soap, but an $8 piece lasted me roughly 2 months, so I'm not complaining.
If you like spearmint, check this soap out. I will be repurchasing if I ever run through my massive Lush soap collection!

I quite liked the scent of this, a mild Apple mint smell, however when I unwrapped it I must have got a top corner piece as most of the soap was covered in thick black wax and wasted some of the soap cutting off the wax, considering how expensive lush soap is, I wasnt happy!

I was REALLY in love with this soap while in the LUSH store. The scent was amazing and I thought it would be my new favorite soap.

Unfortunately, I was wrong. The scent was not as strong as I had hoped it would be. It really doesn't smell like mint when using. The later is very weak and the soap itself is soft.

I found this a little drying on my skin. At first, it smelt too minty and reminded me instantly of toothpaste. Although it has a fairly strong mint scent, there's also a fruity/spicy smell that comes through when using this. The spicy scent is more like cloves or cinnamon. It smells more masculine in my opinion and is one that will definitely awaken your senses in the morning.

My favorite LUSH soap..I can get enough of it. I love that it has a black wax "rind" on the outside of it. Demon in the dark is a mysterious soap that smells like spearmint or some kind of mint and it is also very earthy at the same time. To me it smells like mint and sandalwood. It doesn't lather that much, but it gets me very clean.

My boyfriend and I went into the Lush store, and he fell in love with this soap. It is kind of minty, dark and fruity. I particularly don't like it, because I think its more of a masculine scent. I am giving this soap such high marks because my boyfriend is in love with it! He says it makes his body feel minty all over, kind of like when you get toothpaste on the side of your mouth. And he swears that there is a little scent of apple in it as well. I have repurchased this 3 times for him.

i dont really smell mint in this but its just a nice earthy fresh scent. its probably my favorite soap of theirs and i love the name. its also vegan!

I had my doubts about this soap when I sniffed out the bar for the first time. It smelled a bit like apple cider and didn't really appeal to me. However.....when I used it in the shower the scent changed into a fresh, strong minty smell. Love it!! Whatever you may think of Lush, their products are unique.

I can't get enough of demon in the dark! As i enter the shower, it's tingly minty citrusy woodsy smell greets me... and my leathery wings flap excitedly. ok i'm not really a demon, but this is a fantastic soap. it's very unisex, and perfect for those of you who can't get enough of minty/citrusy smells. buy it for yourself and your boyfriend, he won't protest. the color of this soap is also gorgeous. another winner from lush!

my only complaint is that it doesn't give you a rich lather (like certain lush soaps) but i can hardly complain because i love the smell too much.

I recieved a small amount of this soap as a sample, which has lasted me well over 6 months!
As I have sensitive skin I prefer natural soaps which are neither too greasy nor too drying, making this perfect. I liked that it was mildly perfumed but was still a pleasant mint scent in the shower. It also seems to have notes of apple/ kiwi fruit.
It lathers mildly yet effectively and is (as mentioned above) extremely long lasting. As a normal soap this is of a highly satisfactory standard.

I was so excited to finally try it. I made a beeline to the LUSH store that is about 15 miles from where I live for the first time ever. I have been ooogling this soap for a long time online. Thank god I only bought a small slice. I was really disappointed, but maybe my expectations were too high.

I like the minty smell, but it kind of reminded me of mouthwash. It does not clean much better than a cheaper soap and the scent is weak on the skin and in the shower compared to many other LUSH soaps. I also didn't like how the leafy chunks in the soap just kind of stay there and do nothing.

I would like to comment on your LUSH, Demon in the Dark soap. I tried it for the first time [and] I love it. I’ve tried so many soaps that left a residue feeling and had fragrance. I do not like [scented] products. This bar soap is so wonderful—it also rinses very quickly off the skin and leaves a clean feeling. I will continue to use it.”
