Here is yet another happy camper.I bought the Shimmering Nude color 140 (see my review) and I loved the feel of this lipstick and the moisturizing effect so much that I went out and bought the Dusty Rose. The 140 had too much shimmer for me but I have been using it with a lip pencil and I can make it work. This Dusty Rose is a perfect color for me. There is pigmentation without the matte/dryness effect and the color complements my fair olive skin tone. It is not too brown on me at all. I have fairly pigmented pink lips and this just enhances them. I have been using it with a Mac lip pencil in Spice. Maybe not the correct color for it but it seems to blend in. I have another Mac pencil that I can not for the life of me find that would be perfect. I think it is called Rosewood. I usually do not bother with a pencil but this lipstick is so rich that I was afraid of bleeding. I am, ahem, after all, well over the 56 age category. I have actually not had bleeding without the pencil...but just in case. I am loving this color. I was afraid that all the shades in the display were too dark for me, so I am glad I found this one. I wonder if the shades in her lipsticks and other products are geared to women with her coloring. I think she must be at least a medium olive, at any rate, a "warm." If you are "warm" and a little yellow or olive based, check out this line. The lipsticks compare very favorably with expensive brands. I still think the case is ugly.

I love this lipstick! The color is SOO flattering -(olive skin).
It doesn't dry out my lips, either (but that may be because I use lip balm and then apply this after a few minutes).
Love it!

I am very impressed by this lipstick. The color is gorgeous. It suits my NC 42 skin tone beautifully. It gives me a pale pinky MLBB colour. It does not pull brown on me at all but more of a pinky lavender color - almost like viva glam gaga made for darker skin. I do have quite pigmented lips and golden honey toned skin so maybe it pulls different colors on different people. The formula is smooth and opaque and reasonably moisturizing. It looks the same for hours after application. The color doesn't change and it doesn't wear off or feather off or ball up unevenly. It isn't super moisturizing but enough to stay smooth and even on the lip. I tried layering mac lip prep prime under it or bodyshop hemp lip balm or any other lip balm lightly and that makes it just beyond perfect for me. The packaging is sleek, polished and sturdy. The cap clicks on nicely and doesn't come loose. The best thing about this whole line of lipsticks is that the color on the bottom of the tube actually matches the lipstick color very closely and the lipstick itself looks the same on the lips as it does in tube. This is usually a major source of frustration with other drugstore lippies so this was a big plus for me. Also there is no wierd chemically taste or smell. I got "My favorite" shade too and that is likely a slightly darker brighter version of this with more of a red-pink-brown mix and love that too!

I actually won't buy this color again because like the previous reviewer, it pulls browner than what I would like it to be. However, I can't fault the formula. It's pretty opaque and smooth.

i would not buy this again only because the color pulls a bit too brown for my taste but the quality is fabulous for a ds brand. purchased at cvs for $10.99. im going to keep this one because if i just put a little layer on it's not so dark. great color for an everyday look-pinky brown. wish it had a bit more pink in it to suit my tastes. i have pigmented asian lips so i tried covering them with a base to bring out the true color but it still pulls too brown on me. very long lasting and moisturizing, no feathering and color pay off is amazing. good stuff from salma! i also bought the coral but that was a big no go-will write a review on that.

Pretty color, but the packaging is very flimsy. The bottom half of the lipstick fell off with the second use.

DUPE ALERT for Bobbi Brown Brownie! I agree with the other 2 MUA revs to the T on this one--MLBB shade on NW20 also & i think we may be all following the same blog lol. I wanted you ladies to see the swatches & decide for yourself, just like I did here:

You can see the color at the bottom of the tube like NYX lipsticks to get an idea too (i'll u/l pic to show) Cost is higher for the average drugstore lipstick but for the quality/dupe its soo worth it, plus since its still a new line at CVS, its for BOGO 50% so RUN & grab this---doubles if u have to for the deal :)

Absolutely gorgeous MLBB shade for me! I love Revlon SL and Maybelline Color Sensational and vowed that I needn't try or buy any other or any more lipsticks! But I read about this shade in a beauty blog and HAD to see it. Of course I bought it *sucker for BOGO* and I'm so happy I did. This is truly my perfect shade - matches the inside of my lip, if you're familiar with that theory - and I'm a cool light olive (Fairly Light in BE and O-1 in Alima foundations). The formula is lovely: Opaque, creamy, long-lasting. The case is beautiful too; feels luxurious to use. I will definitely repurchase this. This line can be purchased from the CVS website:

I have had the worst time with lipsticks lately. Every single lipstick I own in the high-end brands, you name it - Chanel, Guerlain, NARS, etc. -- even in their moisturizing formulas, do NOT work for me. I have a hard time with even application or even if it initially applies evenly, I am left with weird white patches after an hour or so. THIS IS THE FIRST LIPSTICK I HAVE FOUND THAT STAYS TRUE TO COLOR ALL DAY AND DOES NOT FEATHER OR BALL UP ON MY LIPS. And I paid only $10.99 for it at CVS. The color is absolutely stunning, a more pinkish dupe for Bobbi Brown Brownie. It looks so beautiful and natural on my NW20 warm toned skin. I can't say enough good things about this color or formulation. Of course the packaging is a bit cheap, but I don't mind for this price.
