This moisturizer was fabulous! Very rich without being too greasy for my sensitive skin. Absolutely loved it!

I wish I liked this more than I do....it sounds so good, and it's just....not. This cream purports to have "soft focus pigments" and is supposed to contain AHAs and vitamins that will exfoliate and refine skin. Sounds great but it just doesn't work the way it promises. First, Creme Beaute Neuve comes in one of Guinot's trademark saucer-shaped jars. I wouldn't mind this, but there is some kind of raised lettering on the underside which keeps it from sitting straight. I like jars, but this is just not very well designed at all. The texture of the cream is nice and light, and absorbs without a hint of residue on skin. Also not a trace of moisture, but since it's not marketed as a moisturizer or hydrator I didn't fault it for that - just don't expect it to moisturize just because it's a cream. The scent is quite soapy and rather strong....seems as though it's covering up another scent of some kind....I don't care for the effect. Now as to results....there are none, unless you count making skin somewhat drier and more dull an "effect." Makes me really sad because I had expected so much more. Would have earned just one lippie, except I reserve those for the truly wretched. This isn't wretched, it's just a total disappointment :(
