Wow, this was a huge, huge disappointment. I love the L'Absolu line (the absolute red is gorgeous!), a creamy, quality line in a tasteful package.
So, loving red lippies as I do, I got the Red Chiffon, cause when I tried it on my hand (tester), it was a nice sheer "daytime" red.
Well, within hours of using it, my lips began peeling. HOLY CRAP!!!! How does a nearly 30 dollar lipstick make my lips peel. I use lip gloss or balm or lipstick every moment I'm awake. Love glosses and lippies. LOVE THEM. Have Nars, MAC, Stila, Cargo, Lancome, Clinique and drugstore regulars like Revlon, L'Oreal. And I haven't had a lipstick peel my lips in ages.
I do not know what they add to this that's different than the other Absolute line, but man, you do not want to dry out your lips in HOURS. I woke up with gorgeously soft, smooth lips. I now have NOT gorgeous lips.
Lancome did something weird here.
The color itself: I think it skews cool. I'm NC 42-44, and on me, this definitely went the more berry side of red, cooler than the previous reviewer describes. Sheer.
But...well, my lips can't take it. Beware...

Thee best red l/s on the market...not cool, not warm but it is sheer. It's new from Lancome's line L'Absolu Nu and it's just perfect. It's a great red for those afraid of an intense red. This would look good on warm or cool toned women. Took off a lippie for the price, but it's worth the $29. I'll have this with me always....love it that much. EDIT: I actually forgot about this in a recent move and I see why, it's drying, but I put up with it because the color is so unique...but it dries my lips out and I don't usually have this problem with lipsticks.
