A girl who does makeup reviews on Facebook mentioned that Revlon @ Walgreens was discontinuing some of their makeup. I was in one of the stores and it just so happened found the ColorStay Aqua Translucent Finisher was being discontinued. To my luck there was only one left in my color, Light. I only paid $3.99!! Some reviewers mentioned their dislike of the coolness of this product. They said it was wet and felt weird. I would prefer if the brush was larger. I find the texture and coolness quite refreshing. It's not heavy or too wet @ all. My skin looked airbrushed!! :) I am not sure if Revlon will still be carrying this. I went to the Ulta website and they are still selling it. I don't think I would pay $12 to $13 for it but, if I find it being discontinued or at a great price, then I would definitely pick up a couple!! :)

This is an ok product. I really like how it feels cool on your skin, and refreshes it. However, it does not do a very good job on setting your makeup, I have to follow up with my laura mercier powder. It is worth buying again, just for the feeling it gives my skin!

Typically I do not stray from Neutrogena cosmetics because I tend to breakout from other brands however, I decided to try the Revlon Colorstay Aqua Finishing Powder. I wouldn't say that it is translucent however it does not mimic other mineral powders in that it sort of sits on top of my skin. I have to press the product into my skin after dusting with a powder brush. It is cool and refreshing to the skin which is nice but it looks like I'm wearing powder. This is definitely not my favorite powder, it's pretty average and for the price (I think I paid around $13), you can find way better powders. I did not irritate my skin at all nor did it break me out which is a plus.

I have dry skin so that may be why this hasn't worked for me. I would maybe suggest this to someone with oily-very oily skin. The packaging is really annoying because most of the powder will come up through the upper chamber and it won't go back into the main compartment. It's a bit messy and I usually get powder all over my bathroom counter in taking the top on and off. For a great high end mineral powder, I would suggest Laura Mercier and for a drugstore brand, I would suggest either Almay or Neutrogena. Skip this one, it's not worth testing out.

I bought this product after seeing good reviews on it, but when I used it, it came out looking WAY too powdery and dried out my skin a ton by the end of the day.

This powder helps give me a natural and smooth finish. I've only tried using it without foundation/BB cream and I like the results so far! There is a slight shimmer in the powder but doesn't appear on your face when applied. I personally didn't like using the attached brush, it doesn't allow me to evenly thoroughly apply the powder all over my face /: So I just use my eco tools powder brush which works perfectly! I loved how this didn't give me that cakey effect which most powders do for me. I would re-purchase this again :)

If you're looking for portability, look elsewhere, now. If you're not a fan of moist-feeling products with a cooling sensation, avert your eyes and click that little x in the top right corner.

This is a little treasure, in my opinion. It works very well for me. It's not cakey when applied sparingly with my trusty old powder brush, and it's wonderful for touching up. It doesn't get that "millions of layers of powder on my face" look. It's splendidly cooling and refreshing. The oil control is amazing.

The price, however, is way too high in my view. I hope to look for a sale and stock up on it then. I hope that this, as well as it works for me, is not discontinued.

I really love this powder. I got this powder in translucent medium, i very very rarely use drugstore make up but every mid or high end powder was not doing it for me. I got it at cvs and the display caught my eye and the word coconut so i bought it. I tried it on my hand when I got home n it felt so wet and weird I was thinking it would make my foundation look cakey, i also saw shimmer and was not to happy about that. When I was finally able to put it over my full face of make up (ud naked soliel tan de chanel korres concealer) it looked so great and no noticeable shimmer. I put it on with a huge brush then buffed it in with a different brush. It makes your face feel so cool and it really does blur imperfections also it kept my oilys away which is a miracle. I think this may finally be the one. It's not expensive at all so I highly suggest you give it a try.

I've tried many powders but let me tell you, this is definitely one of the best. I live in the East coast and around summer time, it can get REALLY hot around here. I usually start off with my primer, concealer, foundation, then powder. After that I'd apply a bit of bronzer or blush depending on how I feel that day. This powder has a tingly cooling effort once you apply that to your skin and it keeps me oil-free ALL day. I have combination/oily skin and usually without any products, I'll wake up with a very oily T-zone. However, I've noticed that if I were to apply this product in the morning and come home late at night, I'm still oil-free. It also sets my foundation and everything stays in place.
It's a little on the expensive side I feel but if you look out for sales in your drugstore, the price isn't bad. I use my E.L.F powder brush rather than the brush that's provided because I feel it's a little too small for me.

I bought this after I used up my other mineral powder and it was then when I realized there was a powder made just for setting rather than using a mineral foundation. I purchased this and it has a cooling effect, yet other than that it just feels like corn starch or something... just as dry as well. I do not think I need this on my face as it just makes it feel dry and it makes my makeup look worse.

I really like the fact that this keeps my face from looking shiny all day long. I live in FL and the simple act of going inside/outside several times a day can wreck havoc on your makeup. I love the cooling sensation when this is applied to the skin. I have put it on my face immediately after applying a face serum and before makeup and tried this by applying it after all makeup application had been completed. Both ways produced the same result, no shiny face all day long! Yes it was a bit pricey for a drugstore. I am neutral on the packaging, since it did what it was supposed to do all day long, I have no need for the packaging to allow for carrying in a purse. I have a few 'deeper than I would like' wrinkles around the mouth and one between the eyebrows -- this product did not build up or gather in the creases. I am going back to get one of these in a color in addition to the translucent that I have now.

I really like this product! It feels refreshing, and I like the way it sets my makeup making it last all day, it is matte, which is important to me since I have oily skin, I also like the fact that it does not look cakey on me. I will rebuy it once I finish the one I have :) love Revlon! <3

I love this powder! I've never used a mineral finishing powder before but I was looking for a translucent powder with just a little bit of color so when I saw this I had to try it. The price was a little steep for me but I got it anyway in the translucent medium because a co worker of mine uses it as well and she said she liked it. When I applied it for the first time using the brush that comes attached I hated it! I thought the brush was what made the powder feel wet and cool so I tried using the MAC powder brush I have and the powder still felt cool and wet but it applied to my skin great! I ended up putting the flat sticky brush away and just using the MAC brush. All I can say now is I love this powder, I love the coverage! Yes, this is a definite rebuy!

I like this powder. It goes on feeling wet and feels cooling on the skin. My skin is pretty good overall and I use tinted moisturizer everyday. I wanted a powder to sort of set the TM but not look too powdery, if that makes sense. This did it. It also feels so good on, can I say that again. I think because my skin leans to the dry side it appreciates a not too drying powder. I would recommend trying this out first to see if it's for you before purchasing. I would have passed on this if I had just gone with the reviews here. But my skin likes this product.

This was on sale for a little under $9 at a local drugstore. I decided it was cheaper than buying it full priced so I gave it a go. I don't mind the wet feeling. It's odd that a powder has that feeling to it but I'll ignore it. What I can't ignore is that this applied horribly. It looked cakey because I could not spread the product evenly. Thus I tried applying it to all over but there were surely spots I missed. I don't know how else to use this product where it wouldn't cake and actually work for me.

Tried this because I was looking for a setting powder but this didn't seem to set anything. My makeup felt like it was sliding around more with the powder than without. Removing the brush on top cracked one of my nails so not a fan. I did love the cooling feel of this powder but think I will still have to bite the bullet and pay department store bucks for a setting powder bc the drugstore is a dartboard of options: buy one, try it, return, repeat. Tiresome just to save a buck or two.

First of all, the Colorstay Aqua packaging is a great improvement over the old Colorstay mineral foundation packaging, where the brush was attached to the lid. I'm not a mineral makeup person, so I passed on the Colorstay Aqua powder foundation, but figured I'd give this new translucent finisher version a try. I got translucent medium. It's supposed to feel light and refreshing, but feels like any other powder to me. While it did set my foundation nicely, it didn't stay as long as I'd hoped. I really wish this came in a compact instead of a bulky cylinder. I like carrying finishing powder with me as a quick makeup fix which cannot be done with this powder. In the future I'll stay with Revlon's original Colorstay powder for a finisher. However, this is an acceptable finisher if you look past its lack of portability.
