I've tried Nars lip glosses before, but thought they were nothing special. The Larger than Life collection has changed my mind. I went to Sephora today looking for a nude, opaque gloss that wouldn't look too pale on me. When I tried Tiber, a pinkish-brown nude color, I instantly knew I had found it. Tiber is the best nude lip gloss I have ever tried, hands down!! It's so creamy and has just the right amount of stickiness. I've only had this for a day, but I'm completely in love with it. I'll definitely be purchasing other colors from this collection & would highly recommend them.

I purchased this in Odalisque which is a good everyday shade for me. I really like the formula which is long lasting (even stays on after a coffee) and isn't sticky, but I really strongly dislike the tiny brush! Who started the trend with these? It means you have to dip a couple of times to get enough product on and you need a mirror to see where you need more coverage, so no quick touch ups without looking like you can easily do with a doe foot. I am wondering if I can swap over an applicator from another product. If they would change this it would be perfect.

I have this in Rouge Tribal (described as metallic burgundy) and it's amazeballs! For fall/winter you can wear this over many of your summertime lippies and create a whole new, deeper, more intense look. My favorite way to wear this though is overtop NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Train Bleu What a super hawt combination!

A gift from the bf after a really bad day. We had been mall crawling to hide from the rain and when we passed Sephora he led me in and said pick something, yea he's a keeper.
Anyway, the color is divine, if you like lavender with a hint of baby pink this is definitely the gloss for you.
You can apply it sheer with a light coat or build to suit your mood. I don't find it sticky and the consistency is super smooth like glass. The applicator brush is very small and at first I thought,,? huh but its perfect just enough bristle to give great control.
Yeaaa I know the price....even when something is a gift if its expensive and I have to think about buying it I think its even more reason to appreciate it. So if your gonna splurge I say go swatch this, then get it.
Another NARS hit in my book

I absolutely love this stuff, and am now thrilled that there is a whole range of limited edition Andy Warhol-inspired colors. I picked up Viva and Holly Woodlawn. (Kids, look 'em up--based on artsy folks famous way back when Warhol had his following.) Love the texture, which is glossy and opaque but not heavy; love the little brush, which stays firm and keeps it shape & lets me apply precisely.

I love this baby. It probably has the most perfect formula. Place Vendome is a raspberry red-pink colour which is vivid and opaque enough to use on its own without any lipstick. (not many lipgloss can do that!) It is not sticky so don't worry about your hair strands getting stuck in it. It glides on my lips pretty smoothly and my lips feel soft afterwards so it is not drying at all. I really like how it feels on my lips. Most lipgloss gives me the feeling that I have like a layer of gunk over my lips, but not this one!
But I really hate the applicator it is such a tiny and skinny brush. Makes application such a hassle and uneven.

I was on the hunt for a new nude lipgloss and picked up Tiber. It's like a deep rich caramel. I am in love. This is my first NARS lipgloss. I'm a MAC lipglass junkie but wanted to branch out. It took a short while to get used to the brush as it's not the traditional sponge applicator. You more or less paint this on. Good smooth application, good coverage, no crazy sticky, lasts longer than an hour (I tend to eat all my glosses off so this is a huge bonus). Is it pricey? Heck yeah but it's worth the $26. I normally use MAC lipglass in Spite but now pair MAC lipstick in Fresh Brew with NARS Tiber. The brown in Tiber balances out the mauve undertones in Fresh Brew and gives me a beautiful nude lip. Great nude lipgloss for women of color. For reference I'm a NW45.

I went for the Como shade which is a lovely dark berry colour.
I think this is a great gloss for many reasons
_non sticky texture
_very accurate application with the little brush applicator
_the packaging is nice
_no yukky smell
_creamy and long lasting
_beautiful sheen without being glittery
I would love to try some of the other colours as well, they all look gorgeous.
My only reservation is whilst the brush applicator is great for accuracy, you have to dip it in several times to get product out. I do prefer wand type applicators, like the one on the Hourglass Lip Sheen but can see the benefits of the brush...I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I'm allergic, and it breaks my heart. The first time I applied this I wore it for about 2 hours and noticed some lip discoloration after removal. I was in denial, and wore it a second time. Within 3 hours, I had a nasty blister on my upper lip. I quickly removed it, applied medicated balm, and my lips calmed down rather quickly.
It must be the plumping quality. I normally don't use products that claim to enlarge lips (I've used Buxom glosses without issues, though).
It was a beautiful gloss, I just wish I could use it. I traded with a girl friend for a regular formula shade.

Piree was the first color I picked out of the tester tubes and voila, it is now my HG. I love it! The color absolutely matches with my skin tone and looks quite natural for a creamy lipgloss. Very long lasting as well. The only thing I dont like about it is the very small, point brush which I have to dip in the gloss many times to apply a few more times.

I have been on a long quest to find the perfect lipgloss. There are many options out there, and most of them are decent enough. Not too sticky, tasteful color choices, minimal nasty taste. But on balance, I didn't observe much difference between the high-end choices (Chanel, Beaute) and the pack of no-name glosses I picked up at Nordstrom Rack for about a dollar apiece.
This Nars gloss is in a separate category from all those other glosses. Subtle but strong pigmentation, good lip feel, they last (nothing else has), and they make my lips look terrific. I even like the teeny brush -- which did bother me a bit at first -- as it facilitates precision application. Right now, my HG gloss (not that I am ever going to stop trying new ones).

The best lip gloss I have ever used. Unlike the normal NARS lipgloss, I find the formula of this to be consistently excellent. It is smooth, shiny, long lasting, thick, not too sticky, and moisturizing.
I have the colors Piree and Place Vendome. Piree is the perfect sweet sheer peachy pink nude. It makes my lips look naturally good. I also use it over Chelsea Girls lip lacquer, and over Maybelline Coral Crush to tone it own. Place Vendome is a gorgeous raspberry pink that isn't too out there, and can be applied as sheer or opaque as you want. Very very gorgeous.
UPDATE: I Just got 413 Bleecker as well and it is a PERFECT red. It looks juicy and luscious. Love it.

This is by far the best lip gloss I've ever purchased. The price is a kick in the face for sure but it's worth it.
I have it in Como which is a beautiful warm berry that's still neutral enough for me to wear. It's intensely pigmented with just the right amount of shimmer.
The formula isn't sticky and it's fairly long lasting.
I love the clear tube compared to the regular frosted NARS lip gloss packaging that makes it difficult to really see the product.
I also love the brush applicator which I very much prefer over the sponge applicator.
The biggest upside is that this one does not have the yucky taste and smell that the regular NARS gloss has and that makes a huge difference to me.

I have this in Piree. The more I use it, the more it reminds me of Stila Lip Glaze in Grapefruit. However, I hate Stila Lip Glazes but really like this gloss.
In the tube, the color looks like the flesh of a ruby red grapefruit. On my lips, which are fairly pigmented, it's sheer with a hint of pinky peach. It barely shows up but I really like the formulation (rather heavy and thick, but locks in moisture and feels nice on my lips) and the brush. I wear it when I'm wanting an understated lip.

Thank you, MakeupAlley, for your advice on NARS lip gloss!! Normally I would not pay this much for lip gloss, but I have to say, the Larger Than Life line of NARS gloss is well worth the money!! (I recommend trying on different shades until you find ones that suit you, but I intend to buy this in at least one more shade so this is a general review.) The color I bought in this line is called Piree. The gloss is shiny without looking greasy, just a natural moist look. It lasts much like lipstick but is moisturizing. I've had problems with lip gloss that dries my lips out, looks unnatural, or doesn't last, but this gloss lasts and makes my lips look a lot healthier for wearing it. (For example, I got some Buxom glosses as a gift and thought they were good at first, but after an hour my lips looked all shriveled and dry, so I went searching again.) FYI, the NARS color I ended up choosing is extremely flattering for pale blondes. You can go with a natural-looking color, like Piree, or a more fashion-conscious color for a more "made up" look. You can also wear a little or a lot - it will layer a bit for more pigmentation. I highly recommend trying different colors until you find what you'll wear most and then shelling out for this one, ladies! It makes your lips look fantastic - not tacky or greasy - just fresh and lovely. I'm so glad I listened to the advice here and tried it!

I am still so impressed with NARS lip products, and this gloss is extremely impressive. It contains plumping peptides and moisturizing oils, plus rich soft color. I bought the shade Norma, listed as a cherry red. I was at first worried because Norma looked so bright and intense in the tube. But once I applied it to my lips, it turned into a soft, shiny, bitten red, not bright at all and rather neutral. I also tested out Place Vendome, listed as a strawberry pink, and on my lips it is a sweet raspberry color, pretty much the color of a raspberry smoothie. I was surprised by how much I liked the short brush. It's very precise and it doesn't make a mess!

I've been looking for a gloss like this forever. It makes my lips look like a super model's. Super shiny and amazing. Great colors. But the best qualities are that it is not sticky, and it stays on for a long time. I LOVE this lipgloss. LOVE

Love this lipgloss!!!! The lip brush is amazing, it lasts, the pigment is gorgeous and very pigmented (I have tried como and tiber). And it's vegan! : Absolutely lanolin-free! The packaging is so elegant and I've heard it was especially designed so that the gloss doesn't slowly ooze into the cap like so many glosses do. So far it is neat and mess-free. My HG gloss! (PS I'd imagine that lanolin oil is heavy so that may be the difference in the lighter weight of the product, but there is lots of volume of product in the tube for sure ... one dip and I can precisely cover my lips with the gloss on the lip brush). The added bonus is that my lips look so smooth and healthy from using the gloss!

I did not purchase this item but I am test driving it since it JUST got released, so I thought I'd put this review here on MUA because there are none yet. The price is $26 for .19 oz. That's the downside. The regular nars glosses are $24 for .28 oz, for comparison. That means more bucks for 30% LESS gloss.
This product is somewhat moisturizing, somewhat tacky, somewhat longlasting, somewhat pigmented. The glitters are only a little gritty, and the taste/smell is only a little bad, unlike the "regular" nars glosses where the taste/smell can make you gag. The color selection is lovely. For once the Sephora swatches and descriptions are not too far off. The brush head is tiny tiny tiny. That part was really surprising. Can't comment on how well this functions, since I did not apply a brand new tester directly on my lips. The natural lip enhancers that pump with volume may or may not be working. It doesn't work like lipvenom (the burn!) and it doesn't work like lipfusion (because that actually does a great job of plumping!).
Overall, I'm a little disappointed at this ho-hum gloss at this really expensive price point. I have maybelline glosses that function about as well (those in the brown click tubes) and look about the same when worn on the lips. Therefore, it's purely a question of whether you find that perfect shade for you in this line. As for me, that's why I gave it a mediocre score and would not purchase. The packaging is meh, so I wouldn't even buy it just for the ooh-ahh factor of say, Tom Ford lippies. It's not a bad gloss really, it just makes me yawn and raise an eyebrow at the price tag.
