I like the pallet a lot, the only think I can think of for not giving it five stars is that most of the colors are too dark for me to be using as an everyday look. Although I love using them for night time looks :)

It looked so gorgeous on display in the store when I bought it. Maybe my liking the show influenced the purchase more than I'd like to admit.
While the colors look vibrant in the pans once applied (even over UDPP) their not near as colorful as one would hope. Some produce too much fallout, are muddy or not very pigmented while a few are actually great (cant remember the names but I like the gold & red toned colors best).
Overall its a pretty box, with a few good shadows.

I was reading reviews on this palette after rediscovering it in a drawer of mine. I have had it for over a year now and have only used it twice. I really should have returned it. The shadows are not pigmented, they are muddy, some are powdery, and some are just a glitterbomb. They do NOT look like the same colors on as they do in the pan. I LOVE Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes and their LipSurgence. But I am staying away from their eye shadows from now on. I will stick to Urban Decay or MAC.

I am completely in love with this set. I use it every time I wear makeup and frequently without using any other shadow. I a am an avid UD junkie and have MAC as well, but this palette has definitely turned me on to Tarte. I am in LOVE :)

This is my go-to palette, I love it! Werewolf is my favorite, I wear it almost every day. There is a lot of variety, and the individual shadows are pretty large-quite a good value. There is some fallout, but compared to other brands, it's not that bad. There are a few shades I can't wear because they clash with my complexion, but the rest look fantastic! I'm also a big fan of the packaging.

I waited forever to get this palette, and I wanted to love it so bad. Sadly I was disappointed. The colors aren't very pigmented and very chalky, the way they looked on my eyes isn't what they looked like in the pan. The amount of fall out made it extremely hard to work with, I put a tissue under my eye and still got glitter everywhere. I tried to do the Sookie inspired look and it just looked cheap.

On the plus side, I do actually really like the lighter colors in this pallette. Bayou and Dawn are very pretty, and I've gotten quite a bit of use out of those. The Light, Fairy and Dusk are also really great neutral colors. I thought I'd use this palette mostly for colorful going out looks, but I find I use it most for simple and neutral ones.

I avoid Waitress (and most of the glittery colors) like the plague, but the matte colors like Werewolf, Stake and Legend (though chalky) aren't terrible.

The packaging is awesome, but sadly that and the few good colors aren't enough to make me wanna repurchase this super pricy palette.

I've had this palette for almost a year now. I came here to check out the reviews, because I was just thinking today about how disappointing this palette has been for me and was wondering if others had had the same experience. It seems that I am in the minority. I don't use this palate. It was the first one I'd ever bought when I purchased it, so I didn't know any difference, but I wish I had because I would have returned it. I tried to use it the other day and I ended up with a look that I hated and looking like I had a black eye from all the fall out. I am surprised to read that the the pigmentation is great, because I would say it's terrible. All of the dark color look like a dark gray when you put them on your eyes.

As far as the extras go, the eyeliner hurts if you put it on your waterline. When I tried to use it on top, it never failed that some portion of it got too close to the inside of my eye and made my eyes water all day. I gave it to my sister. I loved the mascara, but it only lasted a week. I still have the primer, which seems to work fine. I'll probably use it when I run out of my current one (or maybe save it to use on someone who might need the lifting effect). Needless to say, I wish I had never bought this. I'll probably never buy a Tarte palette again.

I don't think they sell this anymore, but if you're thinking of tracking it down on ebay, don't! Buy an Urban Decay palette instead.

The packaging is gorgeous but 1/3 of the eyeshadows applies rather sheer and muddy, not at all what they look like in the pan. Otherwise, this palette has some great colors with interesting textures. The light colors are great as base colors and the dark colors can be used as liners. Most of them blend easily and do not crease on a primer. Overall a good palette for people not crazy about high pigmentation.

Confession: I am a big True Blood Fan so that influenced my decision to get this palette a lot. However, I do like this palette, especially the four matte shades. In my opinion the colors aren't as vibrant as say Urban Decay, and I find a lot of the gold/white/nude shadows especially are just a sheer highlight sparkle rather than a bold pop of color (which is honestly pretty great for work, so I can't complain.) Wearing the shadows over an eyeshadow primer is key with this palette. If you're going for a very bold and colorful look you can definitely pull it off with the darker colors but you'll need to kind of build up the color (which in turn can lead to creasing if you aren't careful.) I don't use the included eyeliner because its way too soft, I have to apply it with a brush, which completely defeats the purpose of a pencil, and the primer and mascara are just so so - so if you're excited about those things, don't be. This palette doesn't match urban decay's stuff for blendability and pigmentation imo, but its still pretty up there. Even though I don't use anything besides the eyeshadows its still a great value for the amount of colors you get. I'll leave a few thoughts about individual colors below:

Werewolf - a great brown shade. I wear browns a LOT so this gets a lot of use. I find the matte shades are the most pigmented in this collection.

Dusk - a brownish nude hue that reminds me of Buck from the naked palette, but it definitely pulls more red. I use it a lot, its a nice neutral.

Stake - I LOOOOVEEE this grey. It is so smokey and completely blendable. I smudge it along my eyeliner to create a workplace appropriate smoky eye that isn't as harsh as black, and I can also easily pair it with any of the other colors to tone down the glitters if I'm going to a dramatic look. My favorite color in the palette!

Legend: A basic, matte black. I don't like it as much as I love Sugarpill Bulletproof. I find it is a bit more smeary. I'm sure it would be great if I didn't already have Bulletproof - but I do. So.

Charmer, Telepath, and V: These are all red-hued shimmers that I find to be really lovely. Warm tones are my friend, so I use these a lot. Medium-good pigmentation to these shades.

Fairy, The Light, Dawn: I use these as highlight colors, and they're nice. Unfortunately the pigment in them seems really minimal and they all wind up looking the same on my skin.

Nocturnal: Another one I really like. This is a gorgeous dark blue navy glitter. I almost never wear blue eyeshadow (since I have blue eyes) but this is definitely a blue that I can wear for a fancy night out or a date.

Immortal: I like Urban Decay's Creep better as a black glitter. Not much else to say.

Waitress, Bayou, Moss, Glamour Me, and The True Death: I confess, I haven't tried these. They're all not quite what I normally wear. I keep waiting for that day when I'll have time to experiment with them and try to shape them into a look that works for me, but so far that day has not arrived.

Tarte is my #1 brand at the moment, so naturally I was surprised to be completely underwhelmed with this palette. Several of the lighter colors looked the same, I also didn't like the obvious glitter in some of them (waitress). But the dealbreaker for me was the darker shadows. No matter how careful I was, I could not apply them without giving myself a black eye. In other words, WAY too much fallout. I don't experience this with my other Tarte powder eyeshadows. After trying desperately to make it work, I ended up returning this palette.

I love this palette. The shades are pigmented and wearable. There is a mix of mattes and shimmer shades. I've worn simple daytime looks and dramatic evening looks with this palette.

Some of the shades do have some shimmer fallout, but if you tap off the excess product from your brush, it is not bad. These shadows to blend well and apply evenly.

The primer that comes with the palette makes a look last all day. I don't know if I would purchase it separately though, since there are several drugstore primers that I love, and have yet felt a need to splurge on primer. I'm not too fond of the liner, I find it goes on a little messy. And I really like the Lights Camera Lashes mascara. It is one of the better high end mascaras I have tried.

I bought this palette on sale from Sephora for $29. It has 17 gorgeous, generously sized eyeshadows, a small primer and mascara and a full sized eyeliner. The products come housed in a small box with corset detailing; it is adorable. The shadows are mostly very shimmery so this is a set that is best saved for nighttime or dramatic looks. There is a small amount of glitter fallout with the shadows, but it is not bad. For reference, Urban Decay's glitter shadows (esp Sidecar) have considerably more fallout. If you put the shadows on wet it gives almost a foiled look that is beautiful. The Deluxe Lifted primer that came in my set was very dry; I think it might be old, but again, the reason to buy this palette is for the shadows. The mascara works beautifully and I have yet to try the eyeliner. The price for the liner alone is $18. Add that to the price of $1.70 per eyeshadow (wet and wild isn't even that cheap!) and it is an amazing value. I would highly recommend picking this up before it is gone!

I'm really surprised to see so many low ratings for this palette. I want to start off by saying I got it on sale for $35 so I did not pay full price for it however I do think that it is well worth $54.
First, you get 17 well pigmented eyeshadows that range from neutrals to vampy shades. I've seen some other people mention the Naked palette and if you want a palette that has some solid neutral shades but also some shades for experimentation then this is your palette. Moss, Telepath and Waitress are some of my favorites that I have used in this palette. All the shadows are smooth and vibrant.
As for the other items in this palette, I look at them merely as extras as I think the shadows are well worth the money.
Light, Cameras, Lashes! is one of my favorite mascaras, so I lokve having a mini in my palette for when I travel. It is long lasting and gives my lashes length and volume.
The primer is pretty good. Nothing to write home about but its convenient to have.
The liner is great but it must be applied with a light hand or you'll use it all in no time at all. It is very pigmented, which I love when I want a more intense look

First of all, the outside packaging is really awesome. The black and red with the corset stringing is really neat for someone like me who is a bit gothy.

The eyeshadows in this palette are really nice. All are shimmery except for three shades. I find the pigmentation to be pretty good for all the shades. My favorites are "V", the maroon, "the light", which is a nude with silver shimmer, "the true death", the silver shimmer, and "waitress", the kind of goldy-coppery sparkly color. The variety of shades is pretty good. I wish there weren't three black shades, but it's a vampy palette so what can you expect.

In the pull-out drawer underneath there is a sample of lights, camera, lashes, the eyelid primer, and a full-size emphasEYES aqua-gel eyeliner. I love the mascara. The sample was pretty large and lasted me for at least a week of daily use. The eyelid primer is comparable to UDPP, and reminded me a lot of that primer. As for the eyeliner, I cannot say anything good about it. It smeared and smudged like crazy and never seemed to dry. I hated it.

I purchased this palette with such high hopes that is was going to be AMAZING....WOW was I wrong. I was so excited when I recieved it and couldnt wait to start trying different looks with it. What a huge dissapointment. The colors are not pigmented, there is alot of fall out that made me have glitter all over my face. I was so excited to try a look using the green color called Moss when I applied it it applied very muddy and had a black look to it not the beautiful green color that is in the pan. This palette was a huge let dissapointment and I will be returning it.

Returning....enough said....not pigmented, the shadows would look fine when i first applied with primer, but as the day went by the colors seemed to merge into one on my lid. I had shadow in spots i didnt apply shadow. The shimmers are a different texture that im not used to, dont get me wrong, some shadows are gorgeous and pigmented, but this palette is inconsistent. Trading it for the loracl bejeweled day/night palette. Tried it in store and the shadows are like butter, kinda like urban decay. Its only 4 bucks more come w/2 blushes 2 lip glosses and bronzer. Plus they have shadows per oz in each pan if im not mistaken, they are smaller but u get 36 shadows

Sadly I returned the Tarte True Blood palette. I wanted to love it and waited months to get it and when it arrived, I was underwhelmed and disappointed by the lack of quality in the eye shadows. I felt they were too glittery and/or un-pigmented and muddy... I did 2 looks w/ it and decided I was so disappointed I returned it. I did love the black eyeliner, however.. wish I could've kept that!

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed by this palette. The primer and eyeliner are my favorite parts, while the eyeshadows were... okay.

First, the primer. It worked almost as well as NARS (my current favorite), only Tarte's is peachy-beige in color and feels a bit more 'velvety' after you apply it. It really does hold eyeshadow well throughout the day. '

Second, the eyeliner. It's a rich, very pigmented black that's very soft and easy to apply. It glides on like a DREAM. The lasting power is great, and as long as you set it with powder and wear it over a primer, it shouldn't budge for most of the day. I haven't worn it "seriously" for a whole day though, so my next step would be to wear it to a club and see how well it holds up in sweaty, humid situations. (I actually haven't tried the mascara yet so I may have to come back and edit this review later when I have.)

As for the eyeshadows, some of them are pretty but I found most to be kind of meh. The darker es colors seemed muddy while some of the lighter ones were waaaaaay too glittery for my liking. If you swatch them all on your forearm, you'll notice that some of them take a few swipes to show up, while others fall off your skin immediately. The quality of the es ranges from smooth and buttery to kind of chalky, but it depends on the color that you use. They're quite soft though, so be sure not to use a stiff-haired eyeshadow brush when you apply them becuase you'll probably stab into the powder and make a mess.

Overall, I was underwhelmed. It's a pretty palette and I love the packaging, the eyeliner and the primer, but the eyeshadows could've been better. I would avoid this palette if you're not a fan of shimmery or glittery shades, because the majority are one or the other.

As a die-hard True Blood fan, I decided to buy this product because I don't have Urban Decay's NAKED palette -w/c IMO, I find too neutral (aka boring!). I really don't use eyeshadows as much as other girls (like my sister -hehe!).. However, I adore this! The shadows are highly pigmented and their names are soo cute! The vivid colors are just right for the coming cold months. I honestly couldn't careless for the eyeliner which although highly pigmented as well -I just find to be TOO soft that it broke off the first time I tried it. The mascara wand is tiny & it's effect on my lashes is ordinary (especially if you compare it to my HG colossal). Lastly, haven't tried the eye primer yet. This also comes with a booklet with 4 completely different looks that I intend to copy when I get enough time.

It costs 70 plus Canadian here in Sephora -Richmond, BC. A bit steep I know, would've been better if I just waited and drove to Alderwood, WA but was just too excited, and having a bad day as well. Plus, I don't really indulge in makeup as often. Only when needed. ;)
____________________________________________________________________
UPDATE: It went on sale for half the price. Ugh!! Don't think I'd buy again since I really don't use eyeshadows.

So I got this palette for my birthday from my boyfriend (after much obvious hinting!) as I fell in love with it online. I then received it, held it, opened it, and fell in love with it all over again. The palette has 17 eyeshadows, a gel eyeliner, a primer and a teeny tiny mascara.
The colours are just GORGEOUS. They're all very wearable, ranging from nudes ('Dusk') and earthy browns ('Werewolf') to extravagant reds ('V') and purples ('Glamour Me') so is great for anyone, any age. Admittedly, some of the shadows are a bit chalky and have a little fall-out, but the colour payoff is great - v. pigmented.
The gel eyeliner is great - it's like a half pencil-half liquid eyeliner! It doesn't draw a thin line and I get the idea it's going to run out very quickly but it lasts long, is waterproof and very black.

The primer is good. Nothing special, no UDPP, for instance, but it does dry fast and does its job.

The mascara is a little bit rubbish. It seemed empty straight away and didn't really coat my lashes, but oh well, I'm more than happy with everything else! :D

As a major True Blood fan, I can't help but love it even more because of its theme. The packaging is just stunning, I can just imagine Pam wearing a corset with that design :D

Definitely worth getting if you're a True Blood fan. Even if you're not, the colours are amazing!
