I love this color! It's limited edition, so I want to buy another bottle for when I finish this up, that's how much I like it, since I hardly ever repurchase any nail polish because I enjoy trying different ones. This is great if you want dark, elegant nails but don't want to use something as dark as black. I hear people saying this is a dupe for Chanel's Black Pearl; I honestly wouldn't know because I don't have it, but this is such a pretty color. I use 3 coats, just to make sure, but with 2 it's already opaque, at least for me. Now, the staying power on this is great. I don't use a base coat, or a top coat. I've been wearing it for a week and all I got is this little chip in my right index finger. Imagine what the staying power would be if I used a base coat and a top coat?! I do have to let each coat dry COMPLETELY, it can't even be a liiiiitle wet because it just looks streaky and weird when I put the other coat on. I keep asking people if it's more of a metallic black or a metallic gray, because I really can't tell. It doesn't remind so much of a black pearl, it's more like metal. I really have no idea how I would describe the color, but it's fantastic.

Love this polish! I picked it up because I heard it was a dupe of Chanel's black pearl, and while it's not exactly similar, I fell in love with this!
Application is smooth, 2 coats and it's opaque. My only problem is the product gunks up a little in my bottle and sometimes when applying it on the nail it doesn't apply nicely, also if I don't do it write it is prone to streaking. I can't say too much on wear, because I usually switch my polish every 4-7 days (whenever it starts peeling), but what I usually do is take this off, then reapply it! That's how much I love this colour on my nails!
A definite repurchase if this is not LE (which I hope it isn't!), and for the price, I'm definitely willing to buy a backup!

A dark charcoal gray polish with undertones of light gray, blue and green which all come out beautifully in sunlight.
Goes on beautifully with two coats and is fairly chip resistant for several days. Can't go wrong with this Revlon nail polish ;)

A fanstastic dark charcoal! Out in ths sunlight, the emerald sparkles are dynamite! I managed to score these on sale at walgreens and ulta in the late summer months...so glad I found these, though the fashion pout lipcolor is still elusive.

I love this color. It's a nice metallic charcoal color. It's great for those who don't want to go to a straight black color. I only needed two coats and it applys beautifully.

I'm torn here. I like this color, but I don't *love* it. You know how, with some polishes, you can't stop looking at your nails? This didn't do that for me. It looked nice, just not super special. It mostly looks like a flat gunmetal color to me. I barely caught the flashes of green that this is supposed to have, and that was only in the brightest sunlight.
Let's talk about the wear on this baby, though. I have been wearing it for A FULL WEEK and I have zero chips. Zero. None. Nada. I can see where it's growing out at the cuticle, and I have MINIMAL tip wear, but that's IT! I did my usual routine of acetone, base coat (sally hansen strengthening, allowed to dry completely), two coats of polish (also allowed to dry between coats), and seche vite. I haven't even touched up with top coat this week, and it's still fresh and shiny-looking. I'm really in awe of this formula!

At this point, I'm getting tired of looking at this color, but I'm kind of curious about how long this mani is going to last, so I'm going to keep it until I get that first chip!

I picked this up for two reasons: I love Chanel's Black Pearl & because it was on sale. It is not a total Black Pearl dupe- it is much darker and greener- however I still adore this color. It is very chic and elegant but it also has an edgy side to it. Black Pearl did an amazing job of replicating the multifaceted hue of a Tahitian black pearl, and this is where Black with Envy fails- it has more of a gunmetal base with turquoise/green flashes. Exceptionaly stunning- but it is still not the color of the pearl. This polish is limited edition, so snatch it up now. Thin formula, so I would say 3 coats are necessary.

i love this colour! it's not completely black despite the title - it's more of a deep grey with shimmer in it. gunmetal i guess?

it's not streaky, and two coats is enough for opaque colour but i personally prefer three.

my only problem is that i get bubbles under the polish which isn't too big of a problem, but it bothers me a little but so it gets a four instead of a five. without the bubbles it would have been perfect.

This is my favorite polish ever. The formula is exceptional. Applies smoothly and needs only 2 thin coats to achieve bottle color. Very shiny and smooth as glass. This is not the Top Speed formula, but it dries pretty quickly. The color is a deep gunmetal with a hint of green shimmer. I'm sure someone else can do a betterr job of describing the shade;). It is the formula that makes this polish so lovable imo. Not sure if it's LE but I will definitely repurchase.
