This stuff hydrates my dry skin. It's not too oily and it makes my skin so soft.

I'm surprised by the bad reviews, but that's why there's soo many different products out there. I love it it doesn't Irritate my sensitive skin, and Hydrates it nicely.

I am shocked by the bad reviews on here, as I love this sunscreen and I am picky :) I used to use Lancome Bien Fait sunscreen, but after a while it was getting too pricey so I looked for a drug store spf that would protect my skin, and not make me break out or leave a white case, or sting my eyes. This product is perfect. I use it everyday after washing my face, and before applying makeup. It never makes my combination-trouble skin break out, never stings my eyes. I have never had issues with it balling up. I would definitely recommend this product!

I am quite disappointed in this because it's not moisturizing at all. I bought it mostly for the moisturizing effect along with the spf and the fact you can use this under makeup. But it just doesn't make sense for me to keep this when it lacks moisture, at least in my experience. Back to CVS it goes!

I bought this months ago when my local drugstores were out of the moisturizer I usually use (Cerave AM) and I knew it'd be another week or so before I found some. In the grand tradition of Neutrogena moisturizers this one kind of sucks, but I've got this whole bottle that doesn't expire any time soon, so I still try using it every once in a while.

I have sensitive combo acne-prone skin that's been getting a lot shinier now that it's summer; what I like about this stuff is that it's non irritating, nice and matte (I have to admit Cerave AM can add a bit of shine) and it is pretty light, but unfortunately, I find that this is not moisturizing enough for me and as others have mentioned, there have been a lot of times when it has balled up on me (I admit, this could be due to my application method as I sometimes try to add more and always layer it with other stuff). I don't feel comfortable trusting it alone to protect me from the sun because of the balling, though I guess to be honest, I don't feel comfortable trusting a single application of any face lotion in the am to protect me, so I would say that this might be worth trying if you have oily skin but still need moisturizer and are desperately searching for a combo that isn't all heavy and greasy.

I'm genuinely shocked at the bad reviews on this product. After having battled with many moisturizers that just didn't work with my combination skin, this one made me fall in love.
First off, this doesn't leave that whitish cast that some SPF's can leave on darker skin. It also doesn't exacerbate my oily skin like some other moisturizers do (I'm looking at you, Olay). This moisturizer is light and doesn't feel heavy or greasy. My makeup applies just fine over top of this too. As far as the smell, it smells like sunscreen. What do you expect? It doesn't bother me though. I'm on my third bottle of this now and won't use any other moisturizer for daytime wear. I love it and will continue to use it, I have no complaints at all.

Worst choice I ever made. I purchased the moisturizer because the one I usually use is running out, I needed a replacement because my face gets really dry after I wash it and I always need moisturizer before I put on makeup. But this product really stinks! It's not the smell but it balls up all over my face whenever I try to apply makeup after I used it. No good at all! I hate when moisturizer does that, it feels like all it does is adding a coating on my face instead of penetrates into the skin..Never buy again!

I've heard a lot of great things about Neutrogena, so when I was looking for sunscreen, guess what I picked up? Now I really really dislike the sun, I'm afraid of aging, silly I know. But what I also dislike is sunscreen breaking me out or leaving a horrible thick layer of white cast on my face. This sunscreen doesn't! It absorbs so easily, I feel tempted to apply and apply continously because it's just so fascinating to me.

The bad reviews of Neutrogena Oil-free moisture spf 35 had me cautious but I needed a facial sunscreen with spf 30+ due to the hot Georgia summer sun and my daily use of an Rx retinoid. Honestly, there were not that many options within the price range I was willing to pay for a facial sunscreen, and I've had pretty good experiences with Neutrogena products. So, I threw caution to the wind and tried this. All I can say is: Thank God I did not listen to the bad reviews. My experience has been great with this.
1) I get NONE of the greasy feel (even though a "slight greasy feel" is typical of facial sunscreens with more than spf 20.)
2) It gives my skin enough facial moisture for the summer months. I get a layer similar to a primer, and having combination skin that tends to get oily in warm weather this suits me just fine.
3) This product does not leave that awful whitish-gray cast that typically is present after sunscreens are applied to brown skin. (HURRAY!). and lastly,
4) I can't explain it but this product seemed to help my foundation and powder stay put for a long time even though it has been 90+-degrees! I typically sweat enough to melt the make up off earlier in the day, but for some reason, my facial makeup seemed unaffected with this on under it.

All in all, I will keep using this and update the review, but so far, I have found my summer facial sunscreen. 5 lippies!

This is the best SPF moisturizer I've ever used in this price range. I can't comment on how effective it is as a sun protectant, because that's not something I can measure...but I can say that I love the texture; how quickly it absorbs into the skin (doesn't leave a white cast); the light, pleasant fragrance; and how it leaves my face feeling sufficiently moisturized without feeling greasy. I will definitely re-purchase! You can check out my blog post for the full review: http://www.cosmeticpassion.com/2012/03/review-neutrogena-oil-free-moisture-spf.html

I like that the SPF in this product is relatively high because I like having sun protection, and using anything below SPF 30 seems pointless to me (I am really conscious about the health of my skin in the present and the future).

Also, my skin is currently REALLY dry because I am on isotretinoin (accutane) so I always use a moisturizer underneath this Neutrogena spf moisturizer. Using this product alone, with no moisturizer, would have left my skin so dry and flaky because it does not moisturize that well unless you have 1) oily skin or 2) it is really warm/humid outside. For the winter, however, you will probably need additional moisturizer if you have dry/normal skin.

The thing I cannot stand about Neutrogena SPF 35 is how greasy it looks on my skin, and my skin isn't even oily because of the accutane. I am switching over to Senka MIneral UV Gel SPF 50 PA+++ for the summer but will finish the bottle of Neutrogena I have so I don't waste money.

Pros-
+ relatively inexpensive compared to other sunscreens
+ goes onspreads easily
+ high SPF
+ Hygienic bottle
+ works well with makeup (foundations/powders)
+ did not break me out (even before I began using accutane)

Cons-
- Greasy/oil (which is enough for me to not buy this product again)
- not moisturizing
- smells like sunscreen (which should probably be expected)

A below-average moisturizer in a thin formula. Doesn't provide much moisturization--if your skin is a bit dry or tight, it will remain so after application. If this was marketed as an SPF product, I wouldn't mind, but it is marketed as a moisturizer!

Doesn't leave me shiny or greasy, but I do look a tad bit 'dewy'. (I am reviewing this in spring, it is possible that I will be shinier in the summer months.)

Don't touch your face any time during the day and then your eyes, or they will burn a bit. That tells me that this will not hold up to any sweating without killing your eyes.

I do like the pump dispenser, and especially that it can easily be locked, but I will not buy again.

I am really not enjoying this project at all. i am not very picky with moisturizers. I switched to this during the intense heat week during March much of American experienced.
Ew.
I am so happy my friend gave this to me and I did not have to spend money on it. (should of been a sign!) This makes my skin feel oily, greasy, and just bleh. I need to wash my face when I come home asap just to get the feeling off. I have worn sunscreen on my face before and it did not feel this greasy. I will use the bottle up (or maybe not) and go back to my spf free moisturizer (as much as I would like spf).

I wanted a light moisturizer with SPF, so I bought this to try. The feel of the product is quite nice and it smells okay. I'm not sure if it's because of this product, but I began to break out. So sad it didn't work out. :(

I really like this moisturizer! It says its fragrance free but keep in mind this has 35 spf in it so it still does smell lightly of sunscreen, but thats all! It goes on very smoothly and isnt thick feeling or greasy at all!

I dont find this drying at all and I have very dry skin! I only use this during the day time and I do have a spf free fragrance free lotion that I use at night time. If you find this too drying you should add extra moisturizer without an spf ontop of the sunscreen and that will usually do the trick!

The only gripe I have is this was $9.99 for only 2.5 oz at target... I think that its pretty expensive and I wish it was just a bit cheaper.. at least I dont use this up very fast so it should last me a few months!

I will buy again but I will really try to get it when its on sale.

i think this is a pretty fantastic moisturizer, and i've tried a few out. first, it has great sun protection. it goes on light--as my skin can get a bit oily, this is important. also no odor--equally important. i find this MUCH better than more expensive moisturizers i've purchased. and again, the high SPF is a plus

Ok, so I was very excited to try this product out. I loved it for like the first 2 weeks. It absorbed quicky, didn't look greasy or oily on my face, but didn't feel as moisturizing like I expected. I kept using it anyways only to find out that it was drying my skin like crazy! Specially around my eye area. It gave me a super tight feeling that I couldn't handle throughout the day. So dissappointing. Only thing I like about it is that it woks amazing with makeup. My concealer stayed on the whole day and didn't smudge like with other moisturizers I've
used. I will not use this ever again.

I liked this stuff at first, it sounded good for me because I like to moisturize and I recently procured a scar on my face so I need spf to put on it and I need oil free because my forehead is extremely oily. But I was using tiny dabs of this stuff until the last two nights/days I used more for various reasons, just starting to look dry cause it's winter and all and yesturday I was pealing in a couple spots. which of course I assumed was dryness so I used even MORE of this stuff. very bad idea indeed because this morning I woke up all read and pealy! :( I must be allergic to it or something so for that reason I gave it a very low rating and would not buy it again. Also, just so we're clear, I didn't feel very moisturized after using it like I have with other moisturizers. so it also wasn't exactly performing.

I really like this alot, its thin, not greasy and spreads well. I was actually going to go buy Peter Thomas Roth All Day Max Sunscreen for $42, at ulta but happen to look in the skincare aisle and saw this for $9.99 and I used a $3.50 coupon for this coming down almost $7. I have been using this for a week, and so far no breakouts on my oily skin. I dont think this is sweat proof so this cannot be my HG, like I mentioned due to my oily skin, I sweat and get overheated very easily, and so I bet this evaporates off my skin. I seriously need a sunscreen thats at least spf 30, doesnt break me out, doesnt make me oily, doesnt feel sticky/gooey, and is sweat resistant, Im still searching. Meanwhile I will use this. EDIT: never mind it broke me out in tiny whiteheads, I think I will consider the PTR sunscreen.
